93 Points -Robert Parker's Wine Advocate The 2012 Cantenac Brown, one of the most impressive Margaux I tasted, is the complete package – from the initial attack to the layered, rich finish. Dense ruby/purple-hued with notes of licorice, mulberries, black currants, asphalt and spring flowers, this medium to full-bodied, concentrated, rich effort does not reveal an excess of rusticity or astringency.

Rhiannon is the 7th chapter in Penderyn's Icons of Wales Series. Finished in sherry wood, the whisky is named after Rhiannon, an enchantress and horse goddess who could outrun any pursuer while riding slowly. Rhiannon in Welsh means 'Great Queen' or 'Divine Queen.'

On the nose, soft notes of raspberries and strawberry liqueur, as well as some melted butter, cassis, and candy canes. Hints of peanut skins and pastries. Needless to say, it is very sweet. The taste has more sweetness on arrival and is pretty much a continuation of the nose. Plenty of berries, but also some caramel sweetness. The wood has also infused some spiciness. The finish has a lingering sweetness and is somewhat drying.

Dunville’s Three Crowns Irish Whiskey is a premium vintage blend of superior aged whiskeys finished in three of the finest sherry casks.

Nose: Very gentle, floral, sweet and juicy. Orchard fruits intertwined with nutty caramel, nougat and powerful butterscotch overtones.

Palate: The initial sweetness from the malt gives way to light citrus fruits, oranges, lemon, green apples, pepper and clove. The wood spice and lovely oak tannins firm up this whiskey before the oloroso sherry casks take the final curtain.

Finish: Orchard fruits and caramels give way as subtle notes of walnut, nougat, vanilla and dried fruits come through in the soft lingering finish.

The nose is aromatic, racy and offers a small intensity as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of wilted rose, lily and small notes of small wild red berries associated with fine touches of crunchy cherry, crunchy raspberry as well as fine hints of violet and Cuban pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers freshness, minerality as well as a fine tension as well as a beautiful fat. In mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy red cherry, rose, lily and small notes of pistil associated with touches of plum, blackberry as well as fine hints of zan, tobacco, minerality/graphite and an imperceptible hint of mocha.

Melted caramel, birch beer, and fresh violets on the nose, leading to a creamy palate of cooked bananas, chocolate syrup, butterscotch, licorice, gingerbread, marzipan, raisins, burnt brown sugar, and complex oak. Honeyed almonds and balanced spice take the lead on a solid finish, with trailing notes of melted caramel, plus cinnamon babka, barrel char, light smoke, and an earthy old leather note. Chateau du Tertre is a 5th growth in the 1855 Classification, located in the Margaux appellation on the left bank of Bordeaux. The chateau itself is 1000 years old, stretching over 52ha. In 1961, the estate was acquired by Phillipe Gasqueton who restored the vineyards and chateau after WWII. After his death in 1995, his widow sold the property to the neighbouring owners of Chateau Giscours, a 3rd Growth. In 1997, the estate was restructured and redesigned by the current Dutch owners of Albada-Jelgersma. This red blend has mainly cabernet sauvignon, with the balance of merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. A typical Margaux style with elegant floral and red fruits on the nose, yet with plenty of tobacco, cedar and dried herbs with a soft texture, and fresh acidity. Wait a couple of years to enjoy this and drink from 2025-2040.

From the tiny appellation of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, 13 grapes are allowed in the blend, yet with grenache, syrah and mourvedre dominant. The Domaine de Cristia is a typical blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvedre with a brooding, intense deep colour. The bouquet is an elegant mix of black currant, blackberries, violets, deli meats and hints of leather and pepper. The palate is well balanced with fine-grained tannins and a long, powerful finish. This wine will cellar well for the next 10-15 years.

The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from the Asinone vineyard is the flagship wine of Poliziano. After years of continual experimentation, this particular vineyard was identified as the one with the best quality potential. Asinone is well ventilated and has poor soil that gives the Sangiovese just the right vigor. Though Vino Nobile requires only 70% Sangiovese in the blend, this wine uses 95% to showcase the excellence of the Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese) from this vineyard.

Nutty on the nose, with freshly sawn wood, savory notes, and emerging ripe peaches. Very fruity on the palate, with tangerines, fudge, cinnamon, and toasted oak. Drying in the finish, with nutmeg.

Domaine de l'Enclos Chablis is a white wine made entirely from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the Premier Cru La Fourchaume vineyard in Chablis, Burgundy. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and purity of fruit.

On the nose, the wine exhibits aromas of mandarin essential oils, yellow-orange fruit flesh, yellow apple, and white currants. Subtle notes of pine nuts and basil are also present. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with lively acidity and a creamy texture, showcasing the power and agility of the wine.
