Tignanello was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, the first contemporary red wine blended with untraditional varieties (specifically Cabernet) and one of the first red wines in the Chianti Classico region that didn’t use white grapes. Tignanello is a milestone. It’s produced with a selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Rara Neagra is a Romanian-Moldovan red grape variety that is cultivated in both regions. A great alternative to Merlot, this wine is smooth with a complex aroma of pomegranate, plum and chocolate. The full, velvety taste, with hints of dried fruit and vanilla smoothly pass into an oaky finish.

Brunello is the prince of Montalcino wines, produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes picked by hand from the oldest vines in the farm.

After a careful fermentation at controlled temperature, Tenuta Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino is aged in French oak barrels.

After being aged in wood, the wine is bottle aged: this is an essential process in guaranteeing the pleasantness and the complexity that have made the Brunello di Montalcino world-famous.

Underbrush, camphor and new leather aromas get together with grilled herbs. Full-bodied and structured, it also shows restraint, featuring dried black cherry, licorice and tobacco alongside firm, fine-grained tannins.

Inspired after a visit to Bordeaux, Dan Duckhorn produced the first vintage of Duckhorn Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot in 1978. Highlighting Estate vineyards and top sites, our renown Merlot reflects the diversity of the valley's many appellations. Blending with Cabernet Sauvignon adds notable depth and structure, as well as signature flavors of black cherry, plum and spice.

If you're looking for an alternative to the expensive Grange, try Bin 407. Still muscular with full flavours of blackcurrant, cedar, dark chocolate, and pepper, it's that big Australian style one might be looking for.

The 2016 Paveil de Luze is terrific. Wafting from the glass with notions of crème de cassis, loamy soil, cigar wrapper, pencil shavings, dark chocolate and rose petals, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with fine depth at the core and a more introverted, tightly wound profile than the 2019.

Dark ruby colour with purple highlights. The nose is very open, with notes of small black fruit and vanilla on a finely woody background. Fresh on the palate, supple and round. A lively and structured wine, with tannins that are present but coated. The finish is tart.

Frappato is a light coloured red grape produced all over Sicily, but mainly in the southeast corner. It is typically blended with Nero d'Avola to help soften the tannins (like in Cerasuolo di Vittorio). By itself though, it bursts with aromas of sweet red berries and incense spice. Light in alcohol, but with beautiful texture and acidity, it's a juicy, lively alternative to white wines of the patio for summer. Serve chilled!

Cricova Paper Wrap Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a red blend wine from the Cricova region of Moldova. The wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, which are two of the most widely planted red grape varieties in the world. On the nose, the wine offers aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with flavors of dark fruit, chocolate, and spice. The tannins are firm yet smooth, providing a long and satisfying finish. The wine is aged in oak barrels, which adds complexity and depth to its flavor profile. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for a few years to allow its flavors to further develop.

20% whole cluster and 80% whole berry fruit is hand-loaded into 225-500 liter new French oak barrels for a 100% barrel fermentation for a period of 28 days, allowing seamless oak integration. The fermentation temperature is kept low, extracting intense aromas, and the cap management is done by hand to ensure soft, gentle flavors and tannin extraction. Wild yeasts. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barrel leaves considerable lees and sediment. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months.

Red Schooner wines are identified by the voyage number rather than a vintage date, with Voyage 11 corresponding to the 2021 vintage. The result is a remarkably smooth wine, offering aromas and flavors of dark fruit complemented by fine, textural tannins.

Bin 389 was often referred to as ‘Baby Grange', in part because components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange. First made in 1960 by the legendary Max Schubert, this was the wine that helped forge Penfolds reputation with red wine drinkers by combining the structure of cabernet sauvignon with the richness of shiraz. Exemplifying the judicious balance of fruit and oak, Bin 389 highlights the generous mid-palate Penfolds in known for.

The Chateau Malescot St. Exupery is a 3rd growth of Margaux that sits right next to Chateau Margaux- one of the 5-first growths of Bordeaux. This exceptional terroir goes all the way back to 1697 when it was owned by the Escousses family. In the 1800's the property was handed to Jean-Baptiste Saint-Exupery enriching the name of the Chateau with HIS name. By June, 1955 the estate had only 7 ha of vines and the Zuger family began to restore the grounds and the castle. 30ha of the property are dedicated to the vines where the varieties of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot are grown. This is one of the most well-priced wines of Bordeaux and always well regarded, garnering high scores from critics. The 2016 vintage is comprised of 55% cabernet, 37% merlot and the 8% balance is cabernet franc and petit verdot. The wine scored high with typical notes of black currant, cedar, earth, tobacco and mocha around a backbone of fine tannins, and fresh acidity with a lengthy finish and great depth of character. Moldovan wine doesn't have the same recognition as some of its other neighbours that make wine in Europe, but vines have been growing here for thousands of years, as far back as 3000BC. Saperavi is a versatile grape, vinified both sweet and dry. There s a well balanced flavour here with a mix of oak, sour cherry and black current that has sweetness, but balanced by high acidity.

Le Ragose Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso is a classic expression of the Valpolicella wine region in Veneto, Italy. Made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Corvinone grapes, this wine is crafted using the Ripasso method, where the wine is refermented on the skins of Amarone, creating a rich and complex profile. On the nose, aromas of dark cherry, plum, and chocolate are prevalent, while the palate is smooth with velvety tannins and flavors of ripe berries, vanilla, and a hint of spice.

Giuseppe CorteseCricova Cabernet is especially famous for its dark ruby color and its suave bouquet with light nuances of almonds, vanilla, and violets. Crafted with grapes harvested from the vineyards located in the Codru and Valul lui Traian wine regions, this wine displays a soft bouquet of floral and vanilla on the nose. The taste is fresh with a smooth finish.

Winemaker Notes : The Opus One 2018 offers profuse aromas of blackberry, cassis, and black cherry. Elegant notes of violets, white pepper, and rose petals follow and together they deliver a very seductive bouquet. The seamlessly layered flavors build to a crescendo of fresh and juicy black-fruit, accented with hints of orange zest, licorice, and dark chocolate. Beautifully balanced, the smooth round tannins and fresh acidity combine to create a soft, creamy mouthfeel and extend the flavors into a long persistent finish.

Made as a traditional 'Australian blend', the Shiraz component provides fleshy fruit flavour while Cabernet provides a frame of fine grained tannins.

Garnet red veering towards purple. Expressive, with creamy notes of black fruits such as blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry and sweet spices. Slender in the mouth, prolonged by a fine acidity, but wrapped up in a round, velvety and charming matter. Combines blackberry cream with toasted spices and vanilla. The history of Château Durfort-Vivens is linked to the Durfort-Duras family. The consecration of Château Durfort-Vivens took place in 1855 with the obtaining of the prestigious title of Second Cru Classé. The owners who have succeeded one another until today have never ceased to improve the quality of the wine and extend the reputation of the château. The vinification is in cement and wood vats. Aging in 40% new barrels for 18 months.The result is a Margaux full of finesse and freshness.

The bouquet of Durfort-Vivens 2014 opens with clear aromas of black fruits such as cherry and blackberry to evolve towards more subtle aromas of truffle. In the mouth, the wine is revealed, silky and elegant. It is definitely a wine that carries the colors of the prestigious Margaux appellation.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild (Pauillac) – there’s no denying that no matter what vintage, the name of Rothschild will carry the weight and cachet for selling itself, not to mention scoring very high. Cassis, raspberry coulis, and blackberry dominate on a palate of crisp tannins, enormous structure and concentration. Always give this time to age to allow the wine to come into itself.
