Picked from September 5 to 22, a little quicker than expected, as Laporte spotted some botrytis, at 28 hl/ha, this is matured in 60% new oak barrels. It has a generous bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit intermixed with mocha and light undergrowth scents, typical Talbot. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, well-judged acidity, satisfying weight and density on the mid-palate that had been lacking in vintages past. A little more grip on the grainy-textured finish, lightly spiced with a hint of powdered chocolate, if you seek a classic Saint-Julien and, it must be said, often at a reasonable price, then look no further."

Kaze no Mori Tsuyuhakaze 507 is a premium Muroka Nama Genshu (unfiltered, unpasteurized, undiluted) Junmai Daiginjo from Yucho Shuzo, Nara, featuring 50% polished Tsuyuhakaze rice. Known for its bright, lively, and spritzy character, it offers notes of green apple, white peach, and melon with a creamy sweetness and sharp acidity.

The 1990 Château Margaux is a legendary, 100-point Bordeaux wine known for its immense depth, velvety texture, and remarkable longevity. It features opulent, aromatic layers of blackcurrants, violets, cedar, and truffles, with a powerful yet silky, full-bodied palate. It represents a "monumental" vintage now at peak maturity, yet capable of further aging until at least 2050.

The Windborne Steed Year Of The Horse 2026 is a 53% alcohol-by-volume liquor originating from China. Packaged in a large 1.5L bottle, this product is marketed in celebration of the 2026 Lunar New Year.

The 2022 Château Le Pin is a highly acclaimed, 100% Merlot Pomerol, described as an elegant, full-bodied, yet balanced wine with intense aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, violet, and spice, plus notes of cedar, truffle, and mocha. Forty percent of this Cru is made in oak. Instantly it seems more complex, with more schist and flint, and a nutty character too, the gentle toasted almond very appealing. Mouth-filling and ripe, so much more weight here and more ripe juiciness than the Vaillons, quite a different style but then the finish is lean and super fresh, with the lick of salty acidity powering through.

Perhaps missing that profundity of the 2000 or 2003, yet it has that brilliant poise that makes Ausone so special. A return to the more classic style definitely. Both are great efforts from Mouton-Rothschild."

"As I wrote last year, Lafite's 1994 is the first 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine made at this estate. The only other wine that had such a high Cabernet content was the 1961. The 1994 is not an easy wine to figure out. I felt more positively about it this year than last, but it is an atypically powerful, ferociously tannic, frightfully backward Lafite that appears to require 15-20 years of cellaring before its huge tannin level will begin to melt away. The extraordinarily dense color saturation and intense ripeness undoubtedly suggest that something profound may well emerge from this wine in two decades. On the other hand, 20 years of aging could result in a marvelously well-constructed wine that remains hard, tough, and charmless. It's a gamble, but for readers who love Lafite and have the necessary income, it may be worth it. Although it appears even more backward than the 1986 Lafite, it possesses enough positive components to elicit considerable interest. For your children's children's children? All of the wines in this segment were tasted between March 19 and March 28 in Bordeaux. Most of the important wines from both the 1994 and 1995 vintages were tasted three separate times during my ten-day stay in Bordeaux."

Bollinger R.D. is an Extra Brut vintage Champagne from Champagne Bollinger, meaning it's aged for a long time on the lees before being recently disgorged to preserve its remarkable freshness.
