Deep, dark ruby-red is not quite opaque. The nose is classic for Lafite, with meaty notes to the dark fruit complimenting cedary oak. The aromas are deep & brooding. Cassis & dark fruit on the palate is overlaid by coffee notes & plentiful cedar. There is excellent freshness. There is a good concentration of deep, dark fruit supported by fine tannins. Alcohol is balanced & the finish is long. This is a nice classic example of Lafite.

Louis XIII de Remy Martin is an exceptional blend of 1200 eaux-de-vie from Grand Champagne, aged from 40 up to 100 years through 4 generations of Cellar Masters, packaged in a gorgeous Baccarat decanter.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild (Pauillac) – there’s no denying that no matter what vintage, the name of Rothschild will carry the weight and cachet for selling itself, not to mention scoring very high. Cassis, raspberry coulis, and blackberry dominate on a palate of crisp tannins, enormous structure and concentration. Always give this time to age to allow the wine to come into itself. Drink from 2027- 2045. 

On the nose, astonishingly perfumed and filled with fruity complexity. Soft notes of rose, jasmine and carnation blend with ripe, red fruits, mint toffee and cake mix. Spicy notes on the palate with additional hints of soft, red fruits, pineapple, pear, oranges, ginger and sweet chili.

This wine is smooth, ripe with fine tannins and red plum and black-currant fruits that are soft and gentle. Acidity dominates at this stage, supported by the tannins. It brings out the fruit and freshness of the year while also keeping some structure from the high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. Drink from 2025.

Château Pontet-Canet is an estate that needs little introduction. After fully transitioning to biodynamic viticulture in 2005, this all-star property has captivated wine lovers around the world not just because of the quality of their grand vin, but because of their revolutionary winemaking techniques and guidance of the legendary figure Alfred Tesseron.

The folks at Pontet-Canet are truly among the pioneers of Bordeaux’s shift to the now widely practiced biodynamic viticulture. Unlike other classified growths that believe in using the most cutting-edge technology to make great wines, Château Pontet-Canet is all about slowing down. Horse drawn carriages plough the vineyards, real people survey the fermentation vats 24 hours a day, and no electricity is used at the estate. Though these practices may seem unorthodox, their results are undeniable and they certainly are very interesting points of conversation to say the least.

The 1990s were a pivotal time for Château Pontet-Canet, largely due to the fact that Alfred Tesseron took over managing the estate in 1994 and began transitioning the property over to biodynamic viticulture at that time. Each vintage during that decade increased in quality, and this offering from Château Pontet-Canet offers fans of the estate six ready-to-drink vintages from that formidable decade. This mixed case offers buyers the opportunity to take a trip back in time to that pivotal time and experience for themselves the evolutionary results of Alfred Tesseron’s visionary winemaking techniques, featuring a vertical selection from 1990, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, and 1999.

1995 "An old style Pauillac, yet made with far more purity and richness than the estate's ancient vintages, this broad-shouldered, muscular, classic wine exhibits a saturated purple color, and sensationally dense, rich, concentrated, cassis flavors that roll over the palate with impressive purity and depth. The wine is tannic and closed, but powerful and rich. It appears to possess length and intensity similar to the 1996. This is a great young Pauillac. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2025.

1996 "I was shocked by how backward the 1996 Pontet-Canet was on the three occasions I tasted it in January. This wine possesses superb potential, but it appears a decade's worth of patience will be necessary. The color is a saturated dark purple. With coaxing, the wine offers aromas of black currant jam intertwined with minerals, sweet oak, and spice. 1998 "The 1998 Pontet Canet was made at a time when the property practiced green harvesting that began in 1994 but is not done today. “The changes were in the mind at this stage,” commented Jean-Michel Comme wryly. Initially it felt a little muddled on the nose but it gains focus with time. Eventually it offers straightforward blackberry, briary and cedar scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity, plenty of cedar and mint-laced black fruit with a pleasant, quite lively and lightly spiced finish that lingers in the mouth. This is a commendable 1998 from the château before they really began to embrace biodynamics. Tasted at the château." - Neal Martin, Vnous, Ratings: 90

1999 "Tasted at the Pontet-Canet vertical in London, the 1999 Château Pontet-Canet put in a respectable showing and demonstrated more class than either the 1996 or1982. Well-defined on the nose, there is a satisfying delivery of blackberry and blueberry fruit infused with dried blood and incense as it moves into its secondary stage. The palate is medium-bodied with classic tobacco-infused black fruit. There is nice salinity here, not a complex Pauillac by any stretch of the imagination, although there is impressive precision on the conservative finish. Probably at its peak now, the 1999 Pontet-Canet is a wine that never had lofty ambitions, but a wine that I would welcome on my table. As so often with Lafite, it is power that marks this wine. That, and density of texture. The additional element in this vintage, and at this stage of the wine's development, is a dominant wood element. The vanilla and tannins from the wood match well with the concentrated tannins of the fruit, which is dark, dense and tight. This is a wine for long-term aging: in 15 years this will have superb richness.

The color is bright and the aroma, while not that intense, is precise and extremely pleasing thanks to how clean and assorted it is. The bouquet has notes of blueberry, blackberry and juniper, all topped with a balsamic touch. The mouthfeel is extraordinarily soft, perhaps too much so, but fortunately this is balanced by a lively acidity. It is decidedly impossible not to like this wine.

This first collection case contains unique bottles sealed with wax, direct from the Château, and includes: 1988, 1995, 1998, 2001, 2003 and 2008 vintages

One of the wines of the vintage, the 2000 has barely budged in its evolution since it was bottled and released in 2002. After ten years in bottle, it still reveals a dense opaque purple color along with a potentially sensational bouquet of blueberries, black currants, graphite, asphalt and background oak. Extremely powerful, full-bodied and superbly concentrated with good acidity and high but round tannins, this massive La Mission-Haut-Brion should take its place among this estate's most hallowed vintages when it hits full maturity in another one to two decades. I was surprised by just how youthful this wine tasted at age 12. If tasted blind, I would have guessed it to be around 4 to 5 years old. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2050.

Blackcurrants, cassis, graphite and earth on the nose, then changing to roses, violets and berries. Full-bodied with incredible energy of fine tannins and lively acidity. It grows on the palate and escalates to the summit of perfect wine.

Nose: Sweet toffee and candied orange aromas with silky white chocolate and sugared violets. Tropical fruit notes come to the fore with hints of coconut and ripe banana. A nutty note lingers in the background.
Taste: Intense sweetness to begin then fading to reveal herbal aniseed and peppery notes. Dried tropical fruit; pineapple, lime, and coconut flavours complement madagascan vanilla pod.
Finish: Rounded, with lingering vanilla tones with an herbal edge.

Nose: Rich brown sugar and stewed apples lead to glacé cherries and raisins alongside a subtle touch of honey and ginger.
Taste: Dark honey and almond flavours lead to raisins, warm ginger and lingering fruit loaf.
Finish: A light and delicate finish with soft cherries and toasted almonds.

Not always a first growth, Chateau Mouton, owned Baron Philippe Rothschild was originally a 2nd growth in the original 1855 classification, but after a 20 year battle was elevated to a first growth in 1973, now in the elite five first growths. In 1988, Baron Philippe's daughter took over the Chateau. During her time as CEO, she brilliantly enhanced and modernized Chateau Mouton. Her three children now are co-owners and united in the same ambition to carry on the work of their mother and grandfather. The Chateau spans 90ha in the Pauillac appellation on the left bank of Bordeaux. A red blend made with 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot which offers an intense, expressive wine with aromas of blackberry, cassis, pencil shavings, cedar and mint. The palate has fine tannins with a rich, medium to full bodied wine. The finish is extremely lengthy. Always scoring very high, put this away for a few years. Best from 2025-2040.

Golden amber coloured Paradis was created in 1979 by Maurice Fillioux when Hennessy was asked for an 'ultra-prestige' cognac higher in quality than XO. Everything is there but no one note dominates. Complex with a silky attack, it has length and persistence. Made from 100 different batches, the youngest 25 years old and the eldest from the beginning of the last century (1900, 1910, 1920), it's 85% to 90% from Grande Champagne. It has a timeless, distinguished elegance and a personality that grows as you swallow and comes back wave after wave. Savour in a snifter - no water, no ice, just bliss. Score - 98. As if visiting a First Growth Bordeaux château and tasting the wares, including pristinely cellared library vintages, wasn't awesome enough, the folks at Lafite-Rothschild take the experience one step further. Limited release 25-year single malt, matured in a mix of American oak, Fino sherry butts, bourbon barrel and Tawny Port cask. Expect complex aromas and flavours of chocolate, vanilla, orange marmalade with notes of ginger and dried fruit The palate is rich and creamy with a warm finish. Enjoy neat or with a splash of water.

Dark, almost opaque in colour, the wine opens with a cornucopia of scents; spice-box, dark Cuban cigar wrapper, flowers, creme de cassis, blackberry espresso, mint and a drop of dark chocolate. Concentrated, full-bodied, deep, long, intense and complex, texturally, the wine is opulent, plush and velvety. But there is also more than ample lift to keeping everything upbeat. The seamless finish is perfectly balanced, with all its layers of polished, sensuous, silky fruits in the right place for over 60 seconds! The wine blends 84% Cabernet Sauvignon,13% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, 13.1% ABV, pH 3.8. Yields were low at 32 hectoliters per hectare with only 49% of the harvest going into the Grand Vin, so not much wine was made.

Picture walking into a flower show with a basket of fresh berries and a lit Cuban cigar, and while that is not quite PC, it is the aromatic profile here. The wine is fresh, bright, vibrant, lifted, and floral on the palate. The wine is elevated, refined, soft, and silky, with a refreshing, silky edge to the fruits in the finish. The wine is pure elegance. There is nothing between you and the fruits. There is intensity, length, and a striking sense of purity. The wine lingers seamlessly for 60 seconds or longer..

This "coming of age" whisky is the pinnacle of the Dalmore whisky collection. This exceptional whisky was matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels and first-fill Sherry casks, which previously held 30 year old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry. These Sherry casks are hand-selected exclusively for The Dalmore from the world-renowned González Byass bodega, to create an extraordinary whisky full of character. It's complex with bitter dark chocolate notes, toffee and baked apple on the nose with a palate of black licorice, roasted walnuts and sweet marzipan. A great "segue" to the older expressions of Dalmore whisky.

This award-winning anejo comes in a tall, striking clear bottle. The contents found inside are equally striking. It pours deep amber. Expect caramel, cooked agave, oak, dried apricot, orange and maple. It's -full-bodied and mouth-coating with a long, warm finish. Pair with Mexican cuisine or enjoy neat as an aperitif.

Taylor Fladgate is one of the oldest of the founding Port houses (since 1692). It is dedicated entirely to the production of Port wine and in particular to its finest styles. The VVOP is the latest in a series of exclusive releases from Fladgate. It is made from a selection of rare lots that have been maturing in wood, some before the Second World War. The wine will be represented beautifully in a bespoke decanter and accompanying wooden case. Deep chestnut brown in colour, the age is evident upon first glance. The nose has a heady aroma of butterscotch, dried figs and ground coffee, intermingling with marzipan and sultana raisins. Underneath in the background, the aromas are lifted by orange peel and apricot. Hints of vanilla, cedarwood and cinnamon provide a subtle spicy note. The complexity of this port is simply astounding. The acidity is still bright, yet the flavours are mellow and will emerge on the seemingly endless finish. Very few ports retain such balance and finesse after so many years maturing in cask. This is surely a port collectors masterpiece.

Fuenteseca Tequila presents the mastery of agave cultivation and tequila distillation using agave cultivated in various soil types, distilled in assorted still types, and rested in an array of vessels, be they of stainless steel or a collection of wooden casks from around the world… harmonizing to create incomparable spirits in a series of limited bottlings.

In a bid to craft the world's most extensively aged tequila, Master Distiller Enrique Fonseca utilized copper double-column stills for distillation. Sourced from agaves planted mostly in 1984 and harvested at the end of 1993, the distillation process crossed into the early days of the new year, with the tequila being barreled in February 1994. Initially aged for 10 years in a dry, earthen-floored aging room in Atotonilco el Alto, the casks were then moved to a cooler, higher altitude environment in Chapingo, Jalisco, to mature for an additional 11 years. The tequila was bottled in 2014, with the majority of it aged in 180L Canadian white oak barrels previously used for Canadian rye whiskey, except for one barrel, which had aged California white wine, marking a pioneering effort in tequila production. The nose is moderately spicy, rounded with notes of butterscotch with a taste is of oaky vanilla, but the agave still comes through nicely- leaving a soft, long finish, with hints of coconut.  

This scorching hot 32-year-old Speyside single malt was carefully aged at the Tomatin distillery starting from 1988, and recently bottled for the revitalized Connoisseurs Choice series by Gordon & MacPhail on March 15, 2021. Drawn from refill American hogshead number 6656 at its natural cask strength of 54.6% ABV, this rare release comprises just 145 bottles, each elegantly presented in a lovely oak presentation case.
