Caymus Special Selection is always a selection of the best barrels that play to a style constantly pushing the limits of richness and concentration, in this case, clocking in at 16% alcohol. The nose is slightly cooked and raisiny with plenty of cassis, chocolate, and coffee spilling onto the palate. Blackberry jam, pipe tobacco and brown spices line a richly dark, dense tannin finish. It is only made in the best years, but I wouldn’t mind if this was throttled back a bit.

Frappato is a light coloured red grape produced all over Sicily, but mainly in the southeast corner. It is typically blended with Nero d'Avola to help soften the tannins (like in Cerasuolo di Vittorio). By itself though, it bursts with aromas of sweet red berries and incense spice. Light in alcohol, but with beautiful texture and acidity, it's a juicy, lively alternative to white wines of the patio for summer. Serve chilled!

“The harvest lasted 16 days from the 16th September," proprietor Bruno Borie mentioned about the 1982 Ducru-Beaucaillou. Medium brick colored, it comes galloping out of the glass with bold, expressive notes of Black Forest cake, preserved plums and mincemeat pie with hints of cigar box, star anise, eucalyptus and espresso plus wafts of roasted nuts and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, generous and opulent, the palate has beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins and tons of youthful fruit, finishing with epically long-lasting layers of preserved black fruits and exotic spices.”

Dense and layered red with berry and tobacco character, a full body and a savory finish. Got it all here. Deep garnet in color, the 2016 Gloria needs a little swirling before notions of blackcurrant cordial, kirsch, and stewed black tea spill from the glass, followed by hints of chargrill and wood smoke.

Frescobaldi Nipozzano Chianti Rufina Riserva is a red wine produced by Marchesi de' Frescobaldi winery located in Tuscany, Italy. The wine is made using a blend of Sangiovese, Malvasia Nera, and Colorino grapes, which are grown in the vineyards surrounding the winery. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in French oak barrels for 24 months, followed by bottle aging for an additional 3 months. On the nose, the wine exhibits aromas of black cherry, ripe plum, and a hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with firm tannins and a good balance of acidity. Flavors of dark fruit, leather, and a hint of tobacco are present. This wine is a great pairing with roasted meats, pasta dishes, and aged cheeses.

Merlot 100% , Red dark colour, the nose is rich, fresh and fruity, the mouth is full-bodied with spicy notes, the tannins are soft, the end of the mouth is well balanced and round.

A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Saperavi and 5% Rara Neagra, this garnet colored wine has aromas of baking spices, raspberry, vanilla and black cherry. On the palate there are flavors of cherry, black raspberry and blueberry. The finish is exceptionally smooth.

This “entry level” wine of Ornellaia is a bright, lively wine that will introduce any wine drinker to the beauties of Ornellaia wines as it is instantly drinkable, enjoyable, and versatile. Made with (mostly) Merlot with the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, there is an abundance of cherry, strawberry, tobacco and spice aromas and flavours. Priced for instant consumption but can also be aged and held until 2030.

This wine is bright and focused, with a lasting finish. Its aromas and flavors of black fruit and pinpoint minerality should pair it beautifully with rosemary-accented lamb kebobs. 

The Cask 23 wine combines the signature perfume of grapes from the Fay vineyard with the structured and dark fruit of the SLV. The wine opens with fragrant and fresh aromas ofred and black currants, black tea, anise, and nutmeg. Vibrant with savoury notes, blackberry and blackcurrant flavours. The tannins are velvety and refined, and the oak is well integrated. This wine scored almost perfect - 99 points. ecause we also carry the 2018, this is a great opportunity to create a mini-vertical.

Cold soaked prior to fermentation to extract color and aromatics. Spontaneous fermentation over the course of two weeks in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally in cement tanks. The nose is broad and complex, yet clean and fresh, with classic hints of red fruit mixed with notes of aromatic herbs and spices. In the mouth, the wine is broad, robust, and savory, with silky tannins and a long, fresh finish.

However, Overture's third blending aspect - that of marrying multiple vintages - yields a softer, rounder expression of our estate that can be enjoyed upon release.Overture is full bodied but approachable in its youth. Magnus Monte Cabernet Sauvignon is a dry red wine from Romania's Dealu Mare region, known for its complex aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and dark fruit, along with cedar, tobacco, and spicy notes. It features a deep color, balanced palate with silky tannins and medium body, and a long, elegant finish with well-integrated acidity. This wine is best served at +18 to +20 °C and pairs well with lamb, game stews, and grilled meats.

This wine is characterized by its highly structured, harmonious, and delicate nature, boasting a long-lasting finish. Its refreshing acidity effectively counterbalances the wine's alcohol content, while the tannins, dense yet finely textured, contribute to its overall balance and complexity.

After two years of drought, 2013 proved to be an excellent vintage with expressive black and red fruit in this 100% Tempranillo.

" A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot that weighs in at 13.3% alcohol, the 2025 Pontet-Canet is one of the finest wines this estate has produced. Wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet cassis, wild berries and plums mingled with notions of violet and burning embers, it's full-bodied, ample and velvety, with a degree of structural polish and sensuality that is rare in the Médoc, ripe acids and a long, penetrating finish. Over the last handful of years, technical director Mathieu Bessonnet and his team have revitalized Pontet-Canet's vineyards with well-timed soil work and precise phytosanitary treatments; and since 2023, the careful use of "pieds de cuve" in the winery, along with early blending, more refined barrel choices and cooler temperatures in the chai—plus more precise bottling practices—have conspired to take this estate to new heights of quality and consistency. In 2025, the team formed lower-than-usual "ponts" (whereby the canopies of adjacent vines are braided together in an arch) to retain denser foliage to protect the fruiting zone from sunshine, and they waited to pick late in pursuit of full maturity in Cabernet Sauvignon, finishing on September 23. The result is one of the wines of the vintage."

Susumaniello is another indigenous grape of Italy, from Puglia, the heel of Italy’s boot. The “Lampu”, from the local dialect which means lightning, which in Puglia, heralds the arrival of rain, a blessing for the crops. Susumaniello is perfect for this region, adapating to hot, dry climate. The wine has violet and ripe red plum aromas while on the palate, it is fruity, herbaceous, and tannic, with hints of spices and licorice on the finish. Organic, sustainable and vegan.

“Showing the character of the best Cabernet Sauvignon berries I have ever worked with”, says Lenz. Spice of China, concentrated fruit aromas and flavours you would never expect from such a young Cabernet. The small berries occur in this desert climate to protect themselves from evaporating the water – hence a fantastic skin to juice ratio.
