This whisky is matured in re-charred red wine casks, oloroso sherry butts, and bourbon barrels. After maturation, a few drops of water are added to achieve a batch strength of 57% abv. The result is a monumental dram that marries Kilchoman's natural peat smoke and citrus character with notes of dark fruits, rich spices, and salted caramel sweetness.

Inchgower distillery is located in the village of Buckie on the Moray Firth coast and is known for producing a full-bodied and robust style of whisky. The distillery uses locally-sourced water from the nearby Burn of Inchgower to produce its whiskies.
In general, single malt whiskies from the Inchgower distillery are known for their rich and complex flavor profile, with notes of dried fruits, honey, and a hint of smoke.

Following on from Glenmorangie's A Tale of Cake, the magnificent distillery has gone and created A Tale of Winter (we do like the idea that "cake" is in fact a season and that it precedes winter, but we don't think that's what they're going for here)! Director of whisky creation Dr. Bill Lumsden wanted to evoke the feeling of winter, of sitting in front of a fireplace while the snow fall outside, and to do so, he finished a bourbon barrel-matured single malt in ex-Marsala wine casks. All those rich, comforting, chocolatey notes certainly put this one in the ‘winter warmer' category.

The GlenDronach 10 Year Old is a richly sherried Highland single malt, matured in fine Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. A dram which encapsulates the heritage and terroir of Forgue: a cornucopia of brambles, ripe barley and resinous oak, with a long, lingering finish. Nose: A dance of Seville blood orange and cherry, with harvest-ripe barley, roast chestnuts and winter-spiced cocoa.
Palate: Sweet Valencia orange and Morello cherries with rolling waves of ripe barley. As the flavour deepens, savour dark currants, praline toffee and earthy brambles.
Finish: A richly satisfying, lingering finish of orange-laced tobacco and ground nutmeg.

The founder's reserve is quintessential Glen Garioch; it pours a bright amber colour with aromas of sweet vanilla, grapefruit, green apple and subtle spice; the palate has buttery creaminess leading to more flavours of vanilla and green apple; citrus notes add to the cleanliness while the finish remains subtle and elegant.

A big Benriach, taking the distillery's fruity spirit and adding layers of rich and dark flavour to it. Aged for 12 years in bourbon, sherry and port casks, it's a spicy dram with loads of dried fruit and soft spice.

Meaning 'the original' in Gaelic, A'bunadh is made in homage to the founder of Aberlour- James Fleming, and has achieved a cult following among malt lovers. Deep rich amber colour with copper highlights; heady aromas of toffee, smoky brine and peach compote; creamy, sweet and laden with warm toffee and baked fruit notes.

Nose Malty with cereal/barley sweetness, buttery toast, wood shavings, hay and walnut. Palate Orange zest spiciness perks up a malty core of nuts, oak and toffee, hints of cut grass. Finish Oaky, rich with good length, some fruit lingers.

Nose: Waves of heather honey and butterscotch, followed by orange peel, pineapple, mint, and a hint of peat.

Taste: Layers of treacle, heather honey, and butterscotch, followed by orange peel, grapefruit, and almonds, with mocha, ginger, and a light wisp of peaty smoke on the finish.

This is rich in cask characters, with baked orange, pronounced nutmeg notes, mace, peppercorn, and petrichor. The opening flavors of dark orange and syrupy caramel swerve headlong into pepper, root ginger, allspice, and nippy clove. Despite appearances, this is not awash with sherry-dominated fruitiness, but the finish is long, with spice-led dried fruits.

This Highland single malt from Tullibardine was distilled in 2013 and aged for nine years in a single oak cask. Following this initial maturation period, it spent an additional three months in an octave cask, imparting further complexity to the whisky. Bottled in 2023, only 85 bottles were drawn, marking its inclusion in The Octave series by independent bottlers Duncan Taylor.

Limited release 25-year single malt, matured in a mix of American oak, Fino sherry butts, bourbon barrel and Tawny Port cask. Expect complex aromas and flavours of chocolate, vanilla, orange marmalade with notes of ginger and dried fruit The palate is rich and creamy with a warm finish. Enjoy neat or with a splash of water.

This Grangestone Single Malt has been matured in traditional American oak casks until it has achieved the perfect balance of flavours, green leafy notes play in harmony with its sweet delicate oak flavour. The whisky is then transferred into casks that have previously held premium Rum to allow for further development.

Aroma: A rich malty aroma with a biscuity sweetness and fresh fruit notes. A delicate leafy character is balanced with vanilla sweetness.

Taste: Sweet and rounded with a vanilla oakiness. The maly character carries through into the taste with subtle notes of caramelised fruits.

Finish: Mellow and long lasting

Ben Nevis Distillery is a distillery in Scotland that is located at Lochy Bridge in Fort William and sits just at the base of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, which rises to 4,409 feet above sea level. A coastal distillery in the Western Highlands, Ben Nevis draws its water from the Allt a'Mhuilinn which originates from two pools, Coire Leis and Coire na'Ciste. Founded in 1825 as an independent enterprise, it has been owned by Nikka Whisky Distilling of Tokyo, Japan, since 1989.
Nose: Treacle, strawberries and vanilla.
Palate: Sweet - with anise, Granny Smith apples and Kraft caramels.
Finish: Long and lingering with a rye spiciness and oak.

From the Auchentoshan distillery in Speyside, this single malt is made for savoring and sipping. Tropical fruit notes of mango and papaya are evident along with more complex notes of baking spices (clove, nutmeg), vanilla, toffee, and honey. Hiding in a small valley east of the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Edradour is a small operation producing fruity un-peated distillate under the Edradour name, and a meaty and peaty version named Ballechin. This release from Equilibrium (aka Whisky Sponge) is a vatting of a cask of each, both matured in refill ex-sherry casks.
