The 2016 Château Lafite Rothschild is a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Merlot, offering a deep, rich, and elegant wine with notes of dark fruits, earthy undertones, and pencil shavings, known for its classic structure, vibrant tannins, and potential for maturation.

The wine is a dark, well-pigmented ruby-red in color. Cedar, coffee, tobacco & earthy notes overlay cassis fruit on the nose. The palate is very nicely together, with plentiful coffee notes overlaying black-cherry fruit Balanced acidity & slightly warming alcohol combine to give a firm, well-structured mid-palate. The finish lasts well.

A wine that transcends the vintage's challenges, the 2021 Figeac is performing brilliantly in bottle, wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries and cherries mingled with striking top notes of violet, rose petal, iris and mint. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and suave, it's pure and vibrant, its enveloping core of fruit framed by ultra-refined tannins, concluding with a long, floral finish. Readers in the habit of drinking top grand cru Burgundy are liable to find themselves seduced by this immensely elegant, perfumed Saint-Émilion, a wine I'll definitely be adding to my own cellar. It's the result of gamble that paid off, as Figeac's team chose to wait to pick their Cabernet Sauvignon despite the menace of forecast rain—a menace that, in fact, scarcely transpired. The 2021 saw a somewhat shorter-than-usual élevage of 16 months in barrel without fining. Drink 2027-2050.

Offering up aromas of cassis, minty blackberries, lilac and pencil shavings, the 2021 Haut-Batailley is medium to full-bodied, supple and polished, with a succulent core of fruit and delicately chalky tannins. For many years, significant parts of this property were left unplanted, but as of 2022, all 41 hectares are now under vine; so, there'll be more of this Pauillac—with its new, more modern style—to go around. The 2021 Léoville Las Cases has turned out beautifully in bottle and clearly numbers among the very finest wines of the vintage. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of dark berries and cassis mingled with notions of cigar wrapper, violets and pencil shavings, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated with a deep and multidimensional core of fruit framed by beautifully refined tannins and girdled by lively acids, concluding with a long, penetrating finish. Serious and structured without being austere, it's a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and a mere 5% Merlot. Drink 2031-2065.

A serious, age-worthy vintage of La Mission Haut Brion here. With a deep, dark, rich hue, the wine pops from the glass with its smoky essence made even better by its layers of black currants, black plums, tar, herbs, cigar box, and tobacco accents. The palate is full-bodied, powerful, rich, intense, mouth-filling, and long. Everything is in balance, meshing power with precision, purity, freshness, length, and complexity. Like all the great vintages of La Mission Haut Brion , this is going to demand time in the cellar before it unfurls and displays all it has to offer. Drink from 2036-2060. 98 Points

Chateau d'Armailhac showcases all of the hallmarks of its big brother, Chateau Mouton Rothschild, which is right next door. This is seriously juicy. Succulent ripe fruits dominate the palate, with a cool and racy undertone. The wine is ripe, showing flair and full of gravitas. Aged in 50 percent new and 50 percent old oak from Mouton itself, it has a creamy, fulfilling character. This is a wine which will certainly benefit from spending a few years in the cellar. This could be a treat and might just be a bargain too.

94 Points - James Suckling" Very minerally, silky and refined with a full body, firm tannins and currants, stones and citrus. Racy and fine. This has a little more Merlot in the blend but is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon as always. One of the best Armailhacs in a long time."

A mild and very wet winter led to an early and even budbreak. The damp weather lasted all the way through Spring accompanied by some very cool temperatures. Miraculously, full flowering took place between the 7th and the 11th of June which was a 5-day period of lovely weather and relatively hot temperatures. These conditions encouraged a quick and uniform flowering followed by a good return of fruit. The midpoint of the colour change of the berries happened around the 10th of August, with excellent uniformity across all the grape varieties. Despite these unpredictable swings of Nature; the heat and the absence of rain, the vines could maintain a healthy foliage right up to the beginning of the harvest thanks both to the water reserves and to the ploughing of the plots. Harvesting started 8 days late. Light showers at the beginning of September and a lovely Indian summer during the picking meant that all the grape varieties achieved perfect ripeness and a healthy condition placing the 2016 vintage among the great vintages.

This is really excellent with creamy tannins and a lovely berry, currant and blueberry character. Full and luscious for the vintage. Superb. Second wine of Ausone.

The Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva (produced at the Tenuta Tignanello estate) is a prestigious, fruit-forward Tuscan red wine. Tbilisoba Mukuzani is a Georgian dry red wine made from 100% Saperavi grapes sourced from the Kakheti region. Known for being a structured and high-quality red, it is characterized by a dark ruby color, aromas of ripe cherry and blackberry, and a long finish.

Tbilisoba Saperavi is a dry red wine from Georgia's Kakheti region, featuring a dark ruby color with purple tones. It offers a rich, balanced taste with notes of black currant, cherry, and blackberry, featuring a long, dry finish. This 100% Saperavi wine is characterized by its high acidity and firm, well-integrated woody tannins.

The 2023 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon is characterized as a profoundly elegant, aromatic, and mineral-driven wine, showing notes of crème de cassis, liquid violets, graphite, and cedar. It features a silky yet powerful structure with polished tannins and immense longevity, often deemed a high-investment, "cult" Napa Valley wine.

Lamole di Lamole Chianti Classico is a vibrant, ruby-red Italian red known for its deep fruit (black cherry, plum, dark berries), floral notes (violets), and complex spice (sweet spice, sandalwood, tobacco), offering a fresh, savory profile with balanced acidity, fine tannins, and a long, fruity finish, reflecting its high-altitude Tuscan vineyards and often a blend of Sangiovese with small amounts of Cabernet/Merlot or organic grapes.

The Castelgiocondo Ripe Al Convento Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a full-bodied, elegant, and complex Italian red wine known for its brilliant ruby color and long, persistent finish. On the nose, it presents a rich mix of fresh fruit (like black and red cherries, wild berries, and pomegranate), floral notes, and tertiary aromas such as graphite, tobacco, and coffee. It has a balanced, silky yet firm palate with well-integrated, fine tannins and a minerally or chalky undertone.

F NEGROAMARO shows a very deep and deep purple red color. The scent is rich and complex, with notes of spices, berries, and cherry jam. A full-bodied wine, soft and harmonious, rich in noble tannins, with a pleasantly persistent finish.

Querciabella Mongrana DOC Maremma is a vibrant, intense red wine from Tuscany that's certified organic and vegan. It's a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, featuring aromas of ripe fruit like morello cherry and blackberry, with notes of kirsch and herbs, and an intense ruby-red color. The palate offers a juicy, fresh sip with soft tannins and a long, savory, and mineral finish.

SAINT K Black Cat Bone is a 100% Pinot Noir from the Yellow Foxtrot II Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, California, known for its medium body, vibrant acidity, and complex aromas and flavors of cherry, raspberry, spice, and earthiness. The 2022 vintage is described as having notes of cranberry, raisin pie, cardamom, and gingerbread, with a long, fruity finish.

Pingus is a renowned red wine from Ribera del Duero, Spain, known for its high quality and cult status. It's made from 100% Tempranillo grapes and is produced by Dominio de Pingus, a small winery established in 1995 by Peter Sisseck. Pingus is considered one of the most sought-after wines in the world and has received top ratings from critics. The winery also produces a second label, Flor de Pingus, as well as a younger wine called PSI.

The nose starts floral, with aromas of roses, vanilla and cherry, then turns earthy, before spiced undertones of cloves and bergamot float to the surface. The cherries return on the palate, with more bitter citrus and earth tones, while finely grained tannins tickle the back of your tongue.

Candied cherries, wild herbs and darker flowers, with subtle violet notes, create a very pretty aromatic profile. Well-structured, it showcases a great balance, with supple tannins and lifted acidity. While it can be enjoyed now, a bit more time in the cellar would be beneficial.

Guado Al Tasso is from the famous Antinori family from their estate in Bolgheri, the famed appellation on the upper coast of Maremma. The label features the crest and initials of the Della Gherardesca, former owners of the estate. Produced since 1990, the wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and occasionally a small amount of Petit Verdot to best represent the complexity and elegance of the Bolgheri terroir. The palate is intense and complex with captivating aromas of currants, blackberries and blood oranges followed by undertones of spices, tobacco, licorice, and roasted coffee. The palate is mouth filling and persistent, bursting with vibrant silky tannins. A powerful yet graceful vintage with outstanding aging potential.

Rocas de Seña is named in tribute to the rocky soils of the Aconcagua Valley, which impart unique characteristics to the wine. The large volcanic rocks in the vineyard reflect the holistic landscape. This second wine from Seña continues the exploration of the terroir's expression, blending selected blocks from the Seña vineyard with Mediterranean varieties that thrive in the region. The result is a wine that delivers both elegance and youthful freshness. A lively blend of 38% Malbec, 25% Syrah, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Grenache & 8% Petit Verdot that has subtle aromas of
coffee and Asian spices with a touch of mocha from the oak which creates a very deep and
complex nose. The palate is vibrant and tense with good density and shows multiple
layers of fresh fruits, spices, and balsamic notes with a hint of smoke. This is a very elegant and
splendidly youthful wine, yet will age for a decade or more. 

Once past the opening bouquet of white flowers and dried roses, you find plums, black cherries, black raspberries, mint and cigar wrapper nuances. The palate provides a lush, opulent, vibrant, energetic backdrop for its wealth of deep red fruits and oceanic influences. The finish has a touch of salty chalk that adds complexity to its wealth of silky, ripe, red fruits.

Reflecting Nicholson's unconventional approach, this New World-style blend seeks to capture the unique character of each vintage, unbounded by tradition, to create an exceptional wine.

Malbec has thrived in Stellenbosch, alongside the region's famed Bordeaux varietals. Known for producing expressive, approachable wines that are medium-bodied with fine tannins and a generous mid-palate, the Rustenberg Stellenbosch Malbec is a new addition to our Regional Range. Enjoy it on its own or with roasted meats, Italian dishes, or mushroom-based fare. As with all Rustenberg reds, decanting before serving is recommended!

If you're looking for Beaujolais Cru, look no further. Of the 10 Cru, CLS has wines from seven. Rather than sourcing the grapes from all across the Beaujolais region, each individual Cru has their own terroir and soil structure; all made with 100% Gamay with the resulting wines unique and set-apart from each other. Ths Saint-Amour Esprit de Séduction (the most northern Cru) displays an intriguing deep-ruby colour. The palate is round and balanced with seductive and aromatic black berries. A beautiful bouquet of fruit with complimentary spices.

Like many of the more historical wineries of Canada's Okanagan Valley, more attention is being made to "terroir" - the idea that certain plots are better suited for specific grape varieties. Pinot Noir likes cooler climates and it thrives in the North Okanagan climate with its glacial soils. 'Aspect' refers to the direction that the vineyards face, giving those extra hours of sunlight the grapevines need. This serves to set apart these single block wines: dynamic, aromatic and vibrant. This Pinot comes from 22 year old vines, and spends 14 months in French oak barriques (of which 23% are new). The wine is dense and structured yet with a great typicity of red plums, blueberries, and nuances of mushroom and forest floor. A Canadian wine designed for ageing.

The Conde Vimioso range is a seal of historical legacy, whose wines assume their own identity. They use a combination of indigenous and international grape varieties gives birth to enriching experiences based on the character of the terroir. These wines are ambitious, innovative and 100% delicious.

The sommelier edition tinto is a blend of Aragonês, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah. The wine has aromas of red fruits and jam, with slight nuances of spices from the wood. Soft tannins deliver a very pleasant and well-balanced wine of structure and elegance, ending with persistent notes of ripe black fruits. Try with grilled or roasted meats, sausages, patês and cheese.

Blue Canyon Estate Grown (Eg) Pinot Noir, primarily from Monterey/Arroyo Seco, is a medium-bodied, value-driven California wine. It features vibrant red fruit aromas (cherry, raspberry) mixed with earthy notes, sagebrush, and light oak spice, offering a silky, approachable texture with a crisp finish. 

Dense impenetrable core. Elegant nose, layered with tobacco, spice box, fine wood, dark berries and violet, young but with an approaching complexity. The palate is dense and concentrated with moderate extraction, grainy tannin, layers of spice, elegant dark fruit and some meaty notes. Long and fleshy finish, digest and rounded yet with power and persistence, good!
