This nine-year-old single malt hails from the Dailuaine Distillery, distilled in 2012 and subsequently enhanced with a finishing period in Sauternes wine casks before being bottled in 2021 by Càrn Mòr for their Strictly Limited series. Sauternes wine, celebrated for its distinctly bold and vibrant sweetness, lends its luscious characteristics to the whisky, enriching its flavor profile with a generous dose of sweetness.

Kujira 5 Year Old Single Grain Whisky is a premium Japanese Ryukyu whisky produced by Masahiro Distillery in Okinawa, made from 100% Indica rice and black koji. Aged for over 5 years in virgin white oak casks in a subtropical climate, it offers a rich, smooth profile with notes of caramel, vanilla, dried fruits, and woody spices, typically bottled at 43% ABV.

Produced by the historic Orendain family in Jalisco, it features an intense profile with notes of cooked agave, caramel, chocolate, and vanilla. It has a smooth, rich, and full-bodied mouthfeel, ideal for sipping neat or on the rocks.

This is a well-made red, blended with Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, then aged in French, Hungarian and American oak. Black pepper, cigar and toasted oak notes combine around a force of black currant, the wine offering a touch of reduction. Virginie Boone
