Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky that embodies the vibrant contrasts of its namesake city. Crafted by Dr. Bill, this limited edition expression explores the use of rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks alongside sherry and bourbon casks, resulting in a uniquely balanced flavor profile. Pepper notes intertwine with hints of bitter cherries and lively orange zest, complemented by subtle undertones of incense and sweet oak. Dry, with less than 2g/l of residual sugar, this Riesling from Washington State spends some time on the lees in older oak barrels just to add a little texture, and that works: it is brimming with bright citrus and rosy apple, a little floral aroma, a tang of lemon sherbet and lots of zest. The palate has that bit of weight and texture, but those sweeping acids fire through the peachier, slightly more tropical tones, but shimmering and long and delightfully zippy and fresh.

This is a full-bodied oak matured red with with ripe plum, red fruits and complex perfumed oak bouquet. A concentrated middle palate with a long after taste of blackberries and undertones of spice. Good to drink now, but will continue to improve for the next 3-5 years.  Pairs easily with beef, lamb or even wild game such as venison. 

Octomore 14.3 showcases the essence of Islay barley, sourced just a stone's throw from the distillery on Octomore farm, emphasizing the significance of the raw ingredient and the revival of the local farming community. Adam Hannett, the Head Distiller, skillfully extracts the essence of the Islay barley, resulting in a cereal-forward single malt whisky. Aged in a blend of first-fill ex-American whiskey casks and second-fill wine casks, the oak influence harmonizes with the grain, allowing the terroir and distinctive flavor of the Islay barley to shine through. The nose offers enticing aromas of hot, sweet mash and earthy peat smoke, accompanied by soft biscuit notes from the malted barley. Sheep Dip is a premium small-batch blended malt Scotch whisky, crafted from single malts across Scotland into a sophisticated blend with a robust character. It pays homage to Scottish farmers who historically distilled their own spirits, reflecting an era when quality and community took precedence over excise duties. This whisky features a nose of bold fruit aromas including melon, pear, and orange, with citrusy botanicals, sweet marzipan, and spicy oak. Tasting Notes

Nose: cereal barley malt, some caramelised sugar and light treacle, hints of vanilla custard and crème brulee, fruity apples and pears, toffee and caramel

Palate: light and smooth initially, creamy caramelised sugar, caramel, fudge, toffee, vanilla, some spices begin to develop, a light wasabi heat and a little fennel give this a spiced kick

Finish: medium, balanced between creamy vanilla toffee and drying spiced oak and hints of peat

This exquisite 32-year-old Highland single grain whisky, distilled at Invergordon in January 1990 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in August 2022 for their Rare Auld series, offers a luxurious tasting experience. Drawn from single sherry cask number 520009 and bottled at natural strength, it presents enticing aromas of butterscotch toffee, vanilla biscuits, and hints of sherried fruits. Named for the Norman princess who lived around Cirò in the 11th century, the Mabilia is made from 100% Gaglioppo grapes. The juice is left on the skins for 24 hours, with only a delicate pink colour extracted, and the resulting wine being very fruity with notes of watermelon, red cherry, and roses. Fresh, lively, and fruity, this rosato is a great match for chicken, turkey and fish dishes.

With its usual deep ruby red colour, Ornellaia 2020 stands out on the nose with ripe red fruits and delicate vanilla and gentle tobacco notes. Upon tasting, the wine reveals itself to be rounded and velvety, making an enjoyable and engaging first impression that entices for a second sip. The tannins are dense yet elegant and the finish proves to be savoury and enduring.

This Pinot from Oregon stands as a testament to the state's ability to produce wines that can indeed rival those from Burgundy. This realization is further solidified upon tasting this particular wine, which is currently in its optimal drinking window and will remain so for the next few years. It opens up slowly, revealing a salty zest of dark cherry and the wild garrigue—a type of herby scrub found in Burgundy. This wine is a gastronomic delight, becoming one of my favorites when paired with a seared steak accompanied by a red wine pan jus.

A perfect summer red, this refreshing, light-bodied wine from Alto-Adige in northern Italy, is made with the indegenous Schiava (group of) grapes. Three grapes in this group, often co-planted can sometimes also be known as Vernatsch. The wine is packed full of bright red cherry, strawberry and sweet almond sensations. Thanks to soft acidity and supple tannins, it's an ideal wine to serve chilled and sip as an apéritif or pair with seafood. Your guests will enjoy this wine for the upcoming spring/summer season.

Aromatic with crisp citrus and anise, this selection boasts a smooth, silky medium body featuring notes of milk and pepper. It achieves a harmonious balance, culminating in a prolonged, sweet honey finish. Remarkably soft, it's perfect for sipping neat or enhanced with a simple fruit garnish.

The nose of this wine is reticent at first but with a decant or time in the glass, elegant aromas of ripe red berries and blue fruits begin to shine through. Hints of clove, cinnamon and savory herbs complement the fruit on the nose. The palate is bright and fresh, with a pop of acidity that keeps the wine from being overpowering. Flavors of Bing cherry, fig and cooked plum shine but do not steal the show, finishing with a savory note. This wine will go great with braised or grilled meats and/or earthy vegetables.

Extraordinarily aromatic, with notes of overripe banana, green papaya, molasses, toasted almond, and fermented mango. The palate offers more decadent notes of milk chocolate and spiced figs, but not without a peppery kick and touch of funk that this distillery is known for. Outstanding.

Pineapple is the “King of Fruits,” and Maui Gold pineapples . . . well, they are the King of all the pineapples! We select only the best to make the Hula o Maui. We look for almost under-ripe fruit to accentuate the fresh pineapple aromatics that are represented in the wine.

Quite possibly one of the most unique sparkling wines you’ll ever come across, the Hula o Maui is made from 100% Maui Gold pineapples, produced in the Traditional Method (Methode Champenoise). The wine is aged on the lees for 6 to 8 months to develop mouthfeel and texture but not long enough to lose its fresh fruit-forward nature.

Beginning as a trial, 100 cases were produced for the 20th anniversary of the winery. We sold out of them in a month, and we’ve been trying to keep up with the demand ever since. It is an amazing and perfectly accurate representation of Hawaii – fruity and lively.

Truly making an ART of their NOM, Tequila Artenom features expressions of unique altitudes, heritage, agave cultivation and distillation techniques.
This Reposado is born from estate-grown agave in the Highlands of Jalisco, and produced at Distileria El Ranchito, with no additives in order to let the tequila profile and terroir shine through.
Agave mash is fermented with a field-extracted, wild yeast.
Color of very pale, yellow straw, smoked citrus nose with hints of vanilla and roasted sweet potato.
Taste of salted vanilla cookie, allspice, oak, and some slight heat- but minimal burn.

Nose: Rich and aromatic with notes of dried fruits, vanilla, and caramel.

Showing just the faintest straw tinge in the glass, this single-maguey mezcal offers a zesty dried-herb scent. The palate also shows plenty of dried herb flavor, plus hints of tomato, citrus peel and a strongly smoky midpalate, finishing with a minty fade.

This expression replaces the previous 17 year old, and has been aged in bourbon and second-fill American oak casks, followed by a period in first-fill Spanish oak oloroso butts. Sherry is immediately obvious on the nose, with fresh-baked fruitcake aromas, honey, and allspice. The palate is sweet and spicy, with Jaffa orange segments dipped in sea salt, toffee, and dark chocolate. Orange and oak in the medium-length finish.

Highly aromatic, with allspice, ground cinnamon, and hints of clove. Behind the spice, there is soft vanilla toffee, creamed coconut, and grapefruit peel. A palate comprised of citrus, peel oils, toffee, red berries, sweet barley, cinnamon, pepper, and star anise transition to a greater emphasis on toffee, hints of chocolate, more maltiness, and a little oak.
