Cinsault, a historic yet underappreciated grape variety in South Africa, showcases its unique charm in this wine. Departing from the weightier profiles of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, Cinsault offers a lighter, fresher style bursting with vibrant berry flavors. Soft, powdery tannins add to the wine's appeal, balancing the savoury earthiness and leading to a finish marked by lingering spice and unexpected complexity. This wine is a testament to the diversity and potential of South African winemaking.

Neil Ellis, one of our favourite South African producers has created this Sauvignon Blanc to rival many from Pouilly-Fume in the Loire valley. Using wild yeasts and creating only a few barrels, the name Amica is derived from the Latin Amicus which can be described as a gathering of friends, sharing good food and wine around the table. Barrel fermented for complexity this Sauvignon Blanc is a thing of beauty and can most certainly be aged for several years. An outstanding wine.

These bush vines are low yielding vineyards, delivering a refreshing, well-structured wine with bright, tropical aromatics. The palate is elegant with delicately detailed tropical fruits and subtle herbaceous undertones. A lively acidity and a refined minerality add to the complexity of the wine.

Neil Ellis is considered to be one of the most influencial pioneers of modern day winemaking in South Africa. The Syrah grapes from the Groenekloof vineyard were handpicked from low yielding bush vines. They produce a medium bodied wine with vibrant colours. The aroma is full of enticing dark fruit with contributing spicy undertones. There are lingering savoury notes in the long finish, accentuated by fine, elegant tannins. For the price, this is an excellent Syrah.

Piekenierskloof's mountain vineyards, located near the Cederberg Wilderness Area, are renowned for producing exceptional Grenache from dry land bush vines. Neil discovered the oldest Grenache vineyard in the country that each year yields a limited amount of grapes. The vineyard produced consistently award winning Grenache since 2007. The alcoholic fermentation is initiated in stainless steel tank with the malolactic fermentation being completed in French oak barrels. The wine is aged for 14 months in a combination of new, 2nd and 3rd passage larger French oak barrels.The wine has inviting red berry and creamy strawberry flavours, complemented by a creamy texture and silky tannins. The oldest of these vines, planted in 1966 on their own roots, remain un-grafted and disease-free, contributing to the wine's elegance, finesse, and sweet fruit character. The region's extreme temperature variations, with hot days and cold nights, along with its Table Mountain sandstone and shale soils, further enhance the distinctiveness of the Grenache from this area. Light in colour, and although high(er) in alcohol, the wine is well-balanced. Put a slight chill on it for optimal flavour. Another great Neil Ellis wine.

Nelson's Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey is an award-winning, 91-proof spirit revived from an 1860s family recipe. It features a unique, historic wheated mash bill rather than the standard rye-heavy blend, and is meticulously mellowed through sugar maple charcoal before aging.

This white wine offers a unique combination of aromas and flavors. On the nose, you'll detect nutty and herbaceous-planty notes, along with a subtle hint of tobacco and yellow fruity aromas. There's also a touch of dark berries and floral traces adding to its complexity. On the palate, you'll experience a pleasant sweetness of fruit with nutty and slightly smoky undertones. Herbal and tobacco notes intermingle, while a faint taste of passion fruit emerges. The tannins are somewhat drying, and there's a moderate presence of wood spice and nutty flavors. In order to craft a harmonious dry Gewürztraminer it requires skill and vision. Christian succeeded with his dry interpretation of this very eccentric and aromatic grape variety. A beautiful nose of rose petals, ripe yellow fruit, and pear with elegance and smooth acidity. A dry Gewürztraminer that is a testament to the skill of the grower. It delivers all the exotic notes that we associate with this grape variety while inviting us to enjoy another glass with its clean and refreshing finish. Remarkable.

Typical nose with notes of apricot, ripe citrus fruits, and mineral-spicy hints. On the palate of medium stature with noticeable CO2, intense acidity and balancing, subtle sweetness. Medium length.

New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Vodka is a playful, pink lemonade-flavored vodka. It has a light pink color and a smooth, refreshing taste with a hint of sweetness and citrus. Nikka Coffey Malt is a rich, fruity, and spicy Japanese whisky made from 100% malted barley but distilled in a Coffey still (continuous still) rather than pot stills, giving it unique depth, a silky texture, and characteristics of both grain and malt whiskies, with notes of honey, caramel, red apple, vanilla, oak, tobacco, and chocolate, finishing creamy and lingering. It's known for its luscious mouthfeel and complex, balanced profile, perfect neat or with a drop of water. 

An accomplished blend packed with appealing flavors from Miyagikyo and Yoichi Distilleries. Honey, baked lemon, vanilla essence, brioche, golden syrup, and spring tree blossom aromas, with hints of butterscotch and caramel. Smooth, rich, and rounded, this has toffee, chocolate, red berry fruit, plum, vanilla pod, a touch of oak char, and clipped spices. A flash of peat smoke on the finish, with flavors of burnt sugar, baked fruits, and spices.

Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt is an elegant, well-balanced Japanese whisky from Sendai, characterized by a smooth, fruity, and slightly sherry-influenced profile. It features rich aromas of orchard fruits (apple, pear), malt, and floral notes, with a palate of banana, chocolate, vanilla, and light, gentle spices. 

Nirvana Williams Pear Brandy is a clear brandy with a rich, true-to-fruit taste and aroma of ripe Williams pears, resulting in a smooth, delicate, and long-lasting finish with a hint of toasty notes. It is distilled from the 'Viljamovka' pear cultivar and aged in stainless steel containers to preserve its authentic fragrance, rather than wooden barrels, which would alter its delicate character. A bottle requires 8-10 kilograms of pears, and it is known for its exceptionally clean flavor.

Niwa No Uguisu 50 Junmai Daiginjo is a refined, light, and modern Japanese sake from Fukuoka with a 50% rice polish rate. It offers a fragrant, fruity, and juicy profile featuring notes of apple, melon, and pear with a delicate, clean, and slightly sweet finish. This smooth, easy-drinking, and versatile sake pairs well with light dishes like sashimi.

Nomad is a unique whisky. A collaboration between sherry producer González Byass and Whyte & Mackay master blender Richard Paterson. A blended Scotch whisky aged for more than five years in sherry butts is shipped to Jerez for further year's ageing in PX casks.

Noughty Sparkling Rosé is a sophisticated, 0.0% alcohol-free sparkling wine made from organic Tempranillo grapes, offering a balanced profile with notes of red berries (strawberry, raspberry), citrus zest, and hints of elderflower or floral notes, balanced by acidity and gentle sweetness with a fine fizz, making it a celebratory, lower-calorie, and lower-sugar alternative to traditional sparkling wines, pairing well with spicy foods, sushi, and seafood.

Royal Walnut Aperitif is a type of liqueur or wine made from macerated green (unripe) walnuts, often combined with spices, herbs, and sugar, and then aged to develop a rich, complex flavor profile. These liqueurs, such as the traditional Italian Nocino or French Vin de Noix, are enjoyed neat as a digestif after meals, in cocktails, drizzled over desserts, or even used as a flavoring in cooking and cheese pairings.

A market improvement on the previous vintage, this affordable Chard from the warm, inland Riverina region of New South Wales takes a little time to find its way out of the glass, but when it does knit together it offers notes of lemon zest, florals, oatmeal and toast. Acidity on the palate feels a touch forced, but overall there's lovely texture, bright fruit and a refreshing lack of heavy barrel work. Christina Pickard

The sweet chocolatey American and French oak influence is what's most prominent on this Riverina Shiraz. It's peppery, too. Dark-berry fruit, medicinal herbs and sap comprise the rest of the aroma profile. In the mouth, the fruit is cool and crisp and the herb and spice flavors pop, but the acidity feels a bit forced amidst austere tannins and layers of oak. Christina Pickard

Aromas reminiscent of cassis, mint and cocktail bitters are heady and boisterous. Unfortunately they're overwhelmed by the mocha-like barrel influence. The palate finishes what the nose started. Gauzy, oaky tannins are chewy, distracting from the fruit and spice. The alcohol feels warm towards the finish. Christina Pickard
