Adelphi presents this bottling of 2015 vintage Welsh whisky from the lovely Penderyn Distillery. It was aged for 8 years in a single cask which filled 247 bottles at 56.9% ABV. This single malt is presented without chill-filtration and with its natural colour.

The Clynelish Distillery, situated in Brora, Highlands, Scotland, has a rich history dating back to 1819, with the current facility established in 1967 alongside the original Brora distillery. Initially struggling, it gained prominence in 1896 when acquired by Ainslie & Heilbron, later owned by John Risk. Despite closure in the 1930s, it operated during World War II. Clynelish is renowned as a premium Single Malt, notably used in Johnnie Walker blends. This 10-year-old edition, part of Diageo Special Releases 2023, is exclusively aged in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels.

Maotai Chun - Bai Nian Sheng Shi Ib (500mL, 53% ABV) is a premium Chinese Baijiu with a bold, aromatic, and mellow flavor profile, featuring earthy aromas, notes of fermented fruit, and a light, savory minerality. This 53% ABV spirit, often featuring traditional design elements, is best enjoyed neat in small, celebratory glasses. 

Kaiyo Whisky Japanese Mizunara Oak is a Japanese blended malt whisky matured in rare, handmade Mizunara oak casks and uniquely finished via a three-month ocean voyage. Known for its complex, aromatic profile, this whisky is un-chillfiltered, generally bottled at 43% ABV (or higher in cask strength expressions), and designed to showcase the influence of the porous, delicate Mizunara wood.

This is a red wine from the Piedmont region of Italy. Made from Nebbiolo, this wine has an intense nose with aromas of rose, dried fruit and blackberry, with notes of spice, mint, cardamom and minerals, a firm structure, a rich mouthfeel, firm tannins and a long, lingering finish.

Les Charmots is a lieu-dit in the north of the village of Pommard. The soils are clay and limestone-based and add a structure to this bolder red Burgundy. The vines have an average age of 100 years and the wines from here are among some of the best in Pommard. This 100% Pinot is expressive and charming with red berry spice notes.

The Sovereign Port Dundas blended Scotch whisky is made using a combination of single malt whiskies from the closed Port Dundas distillery and other distilleries in Scotland. The exact composition of the blend is not disclosed, but it is known to have a light and floral character with a hint of sweetness and a smooth and balanced flavor profile.

La Bota de Gin 81 "Bota NO" is a complex and elegant gin, perfumed with a subtle sherry character. It has its origin in the finest distillate, London Dry Gin style, with marked citrus and juniper berries aromas, later aged for almost four years in a single cask previously used for ageing Fino from Jerez until it has been bottled at cask strength. The outcome is a symphony of aromas and flavours and a delicate palate that reminds of manzanilla pasada rather than spirits—an exceptional gin. We do not know any other one like this.

At the beginning of 2014, we selected several old casks that had previously been used for maturing sherry or brandy for over forty years to mature this magnificent gin. One was almost completely emptied for this edition of the "La Bota" series. It is, therefore, an exclusive product, which will last as long as it takes to sell out the few more than six hundred bottles that have come out of this single cask.

This particular rum comes from a beautiful but previously used sherry butt in the same solera as our highly esteemed 2013 cask strength release. The distinction here is that it's a single cask bottling from a sherry butt that has been exclusively emptied for this release. Additionally, we have chosen to bottle it at a more moderate 44% alcohol content, rather than its original 50%.

this cuvée is distinguished by its aromas of quince, pear and mirabelle plum, and its beautiful balance on the palate despite its sweetness, its precision, and its aromas of candied fruits. a very nice sweet vouvray, with great ageing potential.

Johnnie Walker Green Label is a rich and complex 15 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky crafted entirely from carefully selected single malts from across Scotland. It offers an expressive combination of fresh herbs, orchard fruit, gentle sweetness, and earthy malt, layered with notes of wood smoke, pepper, and subtle spice. The palate is smooth and well balanced, developing into a rich, smoky finish with lingering oak and malt character. Etienne Julien presents a high-quality Nuits-Saint-Georges with his balanced 2019 vintage! The nose reveals black fruit lard notes, violets and undeniable minerals. Spices and slightly woody notes take over as it evolves. On the palate, it has a beautiful structure and drinkability despite everything. It has a potential to be kept for 10 years.

The roots of Domaine Parent date back to the 17th century. Currently the domaine is being run by the 12th generation - Anne Parent and her sister Catherine Fages-Parent. Anne is self-taught, following the lunar cycle and principles of biodynamics to express all the peculiarities of each plot. The small 1.3ha site of Les Croix Noires is located just south of Pommard village. Strong, yet elegant, this Pinot Noir is well-balanced in structure between wood/tannins and acidity.

Anne Parent and her sister Catherine are the 12th generation of the family running the Domaine. The Les Chaponnieres vineyard is 2.89ha lying south of the village of Pommard, above the Les Croix vineyard. The wines here have fleshy fruit, with aspicy nose, raspberry and cherry hints, together hints of licorice.

"The 2020 Aloxe-Corton Les Fournières 1er Cru is ripe and juicy on the nose: strawberry and raspberry, the oak here more pronounced compared to the Les Vercots. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, saturated tannins and again, here, I find the new oak more pronounced and perhaps just detracting a little from its delineation and mineralité on the finish. Roland Piollot and Dominique Moreau are Champagne Piollot, a family Estate in the Aube dating to the late 19th Century. The couple are also responsible for the Champagnes of Marie Courtin. Dominique’s family vineyards make Marie Courtin, Roland’s family vineyards make Champagne Piollot. Roland, fifth generation grower, was joined by his daughter Jeanne in 2018.
Although Pinot Meunier is widely planted in the Marne Valley, it is relatively rare in the Aube. Only a mere 6% of the Piollot family vineyards are planted to Pinot Meunier, but they decided to highlight this grape with the Mepetit vineyard in Polisot starting in 2015. Aging in oak barrels gives this wine a uniquely complex texture and profile that is not to be missed. The wine is aged on the lees for four years before release, and like all of the Champagnes from Piollot, it’s disgorged non-dosé.

Les Millandes premier Cru is an east facing sit and close to the GC of Clos de la Roche, growing 100% pinot noir. The soils are the same in both sites, resulting in similar wines. Les Millandes is always supple and seductive with dusty chocolate notes, along with the typical aromas of red berries, warm barking spices and earth. The tannins are structured, yet fine.

From vines planted in 1922, from a relatively low-lying vineyard towards the border with Volnay. Les Cras comes from the word ‘craie’ which translates as lime. Low yielding from a parcel of less than 0.5ha.

Friuli-Venezia Giulia is one of the smallest regions in Italy, yet also one of the mightiest. With a plethora of indigenous grape varieties not grown outside of the region, and even fewer producers that are embracing them, Zidarich is truly one of the best.

There are many “malvasia” named grapes within Italy, with some more quality than others. One of the best Malvasia grapes is Istriana, grown in the Friuli region as well as neighbouring Slovenia. Benjamin Zidarich practices biodynamic viticulture, picking grapes and bottling wine according to the phases of the moon. He will tell you that the grapes are grown by the sun and the earth, and the wine is grown by the moon.  The nose has notes of white peaches, oriental mixed spices, mineral, and stony notes. Maceration on the skins will give the wine slight tannins that overlay crunchy stone fruits, savoury herbs, and crushed stony minerality. 

This wine is from a contiguous parcel that sits astride the Clos Prieur du Haut (classified 1er Cru) and the Clos Prieur du Bas (classified as a village wine); rather than create two tiny cuvées, the domaine prefers to blend the two to make an extra-fine village wine from the lieu-dit “Clos Prieur”. Harmand-Geoffroy owns a bit less than a half-hectare of vineyards in Clos Prieur and the vines therein were planted between 50 and 85 years ago. In our opinion, this is one of the finest village wines available from Gevrey; it is elegant yet powerful with a compelling density and ripe, sweet tannins.

Chateau Angelus in St. Emilion, Bordeaux's right bank has been in existence since 1782. Now operated by Stephanie de Bouard-Rivoal, who represents the 8th generation of the Bouard de Laforest family. Her goal is to ensure the Angelus name continues to represent excellence and timelessness. The Carillon d'Angelus is the second label of Chateau Angelus, this was first released from the 1987 vintage. This wine is a red blend of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and is highly appreciated for its purity of fruit, velvety tannins and elegant finish. The high content of merlot makes it drinkable earlier in life, but can be aged for the next 8-12 years.

The Le Clarence Haut-Brion is the 2nd wine of the first growth Chateau Haut-Brion. It was in 2007 that this wine was renamed Le Clarence Haut-Brion as a tribute to Clarence Dillon, who acquired the property in 1935. This blend of 73% Merlot, 16% Cabernet France and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon has fruity red fruits on the nose with a smooth, concentrated palate.This a charming, pleasant wine.

The 2020 L'Eglise Clinet is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The Merlot was picked between the 11th and the 14th of September, and the Cabernet Franc was picked on the 16th of September. It has an alcohol of 14.4% and is aging in French oak barrels, 80% new. Displaying and opaque purple-black color, it needs a bit of swirling to reveal a fascinating array of earthy notes —black truffles, charcoal, mossy tree bark and fallen leaves—over a profound core of preserved plums, blackberry preserves and violets, with a waft of tapenade. The medium to full-bodied palate has exquisitely ripe tannins and bold freshness supporting the seductively ripe, black fruit layers, finishing on a lingering fragrant earth note.

Extremely floral with blackberry and blueberry character plus hints of violets. Full-bodied yet always in check and reserve with fine tannins and bright acidity that goes on for minutes. Limestone undertones. The finish is particularly long this vintage. Super Clerc. Try in 2021.

Clos Figueras owns an original estate of old Garnacha and Cariñena vineyards. In addition, other varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet and Viognier have been planted. The Clos Figueres wine is made of a blend of grenache and carignan from 80 year old vines.The nose shows lively red cherry and black fruit flavours with a touch of classy oak. Young and fresh with the classic mineral character of the Priorat. The palate is smooth and rich with great finesse, depth and class. Ageing potential for up to 20 years.
