Deep, dark, purple-red color, almost opaque. The nose and palate both display vivid blackcurrants - on the palate these are paired with clean cedary oak flavours. There is fair tannic structure & the wine is of mid-weight, but it is predominantly juicy cassis in nature.

This wine can be drunk after 3 years but is best drunk after 6 years and will age beautifully well past the decade mark.

Full-bodied, wild, aromatic, and a bit leafy, with a salty touch in the fruit-filled end-note, this will be better with a bit of aging. Drink from 2024-2034.

Extremely fascinating and polehydric in the primary profile alternating notes of red prunes, currants, coriander, white pepper, bergamot and green mandarin. A lot of lime describes the very fresh secondary scene. Medium bodied, perfectly extracted tannins and a finale with a graceful, subtle closure. Wow!

This is a wine with fine acidity, red berry flavor and a mineral texture. Fresh, ethereally light and fragrant in character, it should drink well from 2015.

The aromas aren't particularly revealing. The palate is all about delicacy, with plump, lightly creamy-feeling red-fruit flavors with barrel accents. There's plenty of acidity around it all. Give it time in the cellar. Sean P. Sullivan

Deep violet-red to the eye, this wine has aromas of black cherry, blackberry preserves and a hint of mint. Fruit of the wood flavors are joined by notes of freshly ground espresso, dark chocolate and touches of eucalyptus and orange zest. Opulent tannins make their way across the palate and linger for a while.

The fruit for this comes from the first site in Washington to plant Syrah back in 1986. The aromas are fruit forward, with notes of ripe blackberry, black cherry and other black fruit, speckled with spice. Ripe, saturated dark-fruit flavors follow. Coffee notes linger on the finish. 93-95 Barrel sample. The estate is American owned by the Adams family. The wine has concentration that will bring out dark fruits and structure, but it also has great freshness among all the richness.

The color is a deep, dark, opaque black-purple. Aromas are of graphite, dark-plum & rich licorice. The palate is fresh with a concentrated licorice fruit. Then fine tannins have a slight greenish bite that is mouth-watering rather than particularly astringent. The mid-palate is medium to full bodied, dense, extracted & fairly subdued, with tary touches. The finish is long & structured but shows plenty of juicy cassis fruit.

Deep, dark, ruby red color. Open, dark fruit aromas with vivid blackcurrant &well integrated oak. The fruit on the palate is fresh, rounded red-fruit. with tobacco leaf notes. Mid-weighty with fine, supple tannins that give good grip on the finish. Alcohol & acids were were balanced an the finish is long.

Deep, dark, intense Black-purple color. Aromas are very high-toned with exotc dark-fruit perfume of very ripe, juicy black-cherry fruit & sweet oak spices. The opulence fruit on the nose carries through to the palate as do the exotic spices. The tannins are initially cedary & add grip. Alcohol adds a little warmth. The long finish combines cinnamon spices with juicy black-fruit.

Very intense ruby red color, the nose reveals intense and clean scents of very ripe cherry, black cherry, wild berries followed by fresh and slightly spicy tones. In the mouth it is dry and soft at the same time, enveloping and of great balance thanks to the excellent balance between acidity and tannins. The whole tasting is embellished with a very pleasant tannic texture, which fades towards a finish of excellent persistence, with light hints of red fruit.

Flavors of saucy, herbal plum and blackberry come with notes of tobacco and olive, while this is drawing and gritty on the finish, with a roasted quality. Drink through 2024.

A nose of macerated cherries, berry brambles and dark chocolate with aromas of soil and a flinty, metallic edge transitions into a palate that's still dense with cherries and chocolate but balanced by chalky, taut tannins and a bite of acid that brings energy to a leisurely finish.
