Medium ruby hue in the glass. On the nose, a classic Pinot perfume with rich brandied cherry, fresh rose petal and hints of ground nutmeg. With time in the glass, the bouquet opens to earthier, herbal aromas reminiscent of sage leaf and fennel. The palate is nicely structured with bright red fruit flavours framed by medium tannins and persistent length. An elegant, restrained style of cool climate Pinot Noir that is characterized by vibrancy and finesse.

This was aged in oak barrels for 10 months, and then drawn off and tightened in tanks for 2 months prior to bottling. This shares the neighbouring appellation's grandeur, with an expansive palate of crystalline lemon, perfumed white florals, Rainier cherry, ripe pear, and toast, bedded with a riveting buzz of stony minerality which drives through the lingering finish. Lovely balance of generosity and cut, this is drinking smartly now, and with time ahead. Great find.

Aromas reminiscent of cassis, mint and cocktail bitters are heady and boisterous. Unfortunately they're overwhelmed by the mocha-like barrel influence. The palate finishes what the nose started. This Syrah, crafted from the SH99 Syrah clone of the 'Karibib Vineyard' in the Polkadraai Hills, is a masterpiece for Syrah enthusiasts. With only the Syrah clone and a touch of sulfur, this wine embodies the essence of its vineyard. Hand-harvested fruit was fermented naturally in a concrete fermenter with skins and stems for 10 days, then aged in a 15hL concrete egg for 10 months with gross lees intact. This spumante has a beautiful coral pink colour. On the nose, it reveals scents of small red berries, honey and apple. Crisp palate with citrus character mixed with cranberries and raspberries. Good texture from the bubbles, and pleasant acidity that brings freshness and a firm finish.

Leitz Eins-Zwei-Zero Rosé offers a refreshing alcohol-free wine experience with clean, fresh flavors of pale strawberries, raspberry, and citrus, balanced by hints of grapefruit and natural minerals. Piekenierskloof's mountain vineyards, located near the Cederberg Wilderness Area, are renowned for producing exceptional Grenache from dry land bush vines. Neil discovered the oldest Grenache vineyard in the country that each year yields a limited amount of grapes. The vineyard produced consistently award winning Grenache since 2007. The alcoholic fermentation is initiated in stainless steel tank with the malolactic fermentation being completed in French oak barrels. The wine is aged for 14 months in a combination of new, 2nd and 3rd passage larger French oak barrels.The wine has inviting red berry and creamy strawberry flavours, complemented by a creamy texture and silky tannins. The oldest of these vines, planted in 1966 on their own roots, remain un-grafted and disease-free, contributing to the wine's elegance, finesse, and sweet fruit character. The region's extreme temperature variations, with hot days and cold nights, along with its Table Mountain sandstone and shale soils, further enhance the distinctiveness of the Grenache from this area. Light in colour, and although high(er) in alcohol, the wine is well-balanced. Put a slight chill on it for optimal flavour. Another great Neil Ellis wine. 

Zacapa Edición Negra is a rich, dark rum inspired by Guatemala's natural elements, including the fiery intensity of its volcanoes. Crafted from a blend of rums aged between 6 and 24 years, it matures in select barrels, including double charred American oak casks, imparting a smoky intensity. Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks, Zacapa Edición Negra adds a smoky twist to classic dark spirit cocktails.

The plot En Rémont is covered with 80-year old vines. It is a secluded vineyard at the end of the road, preserved and protected by surrounding woods and fields. Guided by Pascal’s careful touch, the grapes produce a very round and generous wine with intriguing notes of berries and spice. Beautiful silky tannins lead into a long, fresh finish.

Canadian Robert Tome learned his craft of hospitality in Italy, studying with the Italian Sommelier Association. He opened his own import agency, which quickly became one of the largest agencies in Canada representing some iconic Italian wineries. In 2017, Robert decided to challenge himself to do more and give more with a new endeavor. He sold his shares and branched out on his own to launch Tomé Group of Brands, his own wine brand making wines from Washington State and Italy. This vegan-friendly Pinot Grigio is clean and crisp, layered with notes of apple, pear, almond, and white nectarine with a twinkle of acidity. This is a great match with seafood, pasta with cream sauce, oyster, asparagus and summer salads.

From the master himself, Mastroberardino, Campania's favourite winemaker, this might be considered "entry level", but with nothing lacking in flavour and quality. Made with a blend of aglianico and piedirosso, the aromas denote fruity sensations of plum, blackberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, strawberry and cherry with hints of cinnamon. On the palate it is medium bodied with rich notes of red fruits.

This delicious Vinho Verde is a mix of three traditional grape varieties: Alvarinho, Loureiro, Trajadura. At 12.5 percent, it is light on its feet, and with bright acidity, it is vibrant. The fruit is grown on granite giving the wine all the minerality it needs to shine, and the flavours are very VV. It goes through a classic white wine ferment leaving a fruity white reminiscent of fresh tropical fruits and white flowers. The 2021 Les Pagodes de Cos is a strong effort, offering up aromas of cassis, charcoal, dark berries and cigar wrapper, followed by a medium to full-bodied, sweet and fleshy palate that's quite rich and extracted, concluding with a saline finish. It's a blend of 60% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. 2025 - 2035

Sauvignon Blanc is much loved for its freshness, mouth watering acidity and upfront fruit. This is a full, richer style of Sauvignon Blanc. The vintage in stock was an excellent white wine vintage. It has the freshness of the cool growing season combined with the fruit expression of a warm end to the vintage and moderate alcohols thanks to the higher yields. Tropical fruits, with underlying tones of pineapple and passion fruit on a fresh, crisp and palate with prodigious length.

Born from a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Syrah grapes propagated through mass selection, Solana embodies a harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation. The grapes are meticulously hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, undergoing a 40-day maceration period. Following an initial decantation, the wine undergoes refinement in stainless steel tanks before transitioning to first-pass oak barrels, known as "heart selection," representing the pinnacle of wood quality.
