Made with the same grapes and care that go into the Leitz award-winning “regular” Rieslings and Pinot Noirs, the wines are de-alcoholised through a low temperature vaccuum distillation process to ensure alcohol is removed without removing the all important natural aromas and remarkable properties of the terroir. Intense red berry fruit rises from the glass and offers juicy cherry aromas on the palate. A very harmonious red wine alternative with nuances of currants that does not immediately reveal that 99.5% of the alcohol is missing!

The Lautus red blend is made from a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage. Pure red and black berry fruit flavours, with a touch of oak. The elegant palate is underpinned by fine tannin and juicy yet subtle fruit.

The Armagnac Castarede hails from the historic Castarede family, who have been producing Armagnac in France since 1832. This expression offers a rich nose of stewed fruits, cedary oak, pecans, honey, plums, and a touch of white pepper. Over time, the aromas evolve into sweeter notes of vanilla, sticky dates, and old muscat. On the palate, it's silky and elegant, showcasing dried fruits, bread pudding, toffee, and baking spices, complemented by gentle fine tannins on the finish. The result is a refined Armagnac with great finesse and a surprisingly delicate character for its age.

The Distillers Edition is vintage-dated and finished in sherry casks, offering aromas and flavors of sweet malt, cooked fruit, dried flowers, and light smoke, complemented by herbal and creamy/buttery nuances. The palate is rounded, featuring wood and peppery/spicy notes that lead to a long, warming finish. Enjoy it neat or with a splash of water.

Fragrant on the nose with dominant red fruits, floral, and balsamic notes, this wine is fresh, unctuous, and fruity with a balanced mid-palate. Made with 100% garnacha, this wine is also VEGAN for those looking for that alternative. 

The red wine "Prugnolo" Valtellina Superiore from Cantina Rainoldi is named after the "Prunus Spinosa," a decorative shrub that grows near the vineyards and whose blue berries ripen in autumn, coinciding with the harvest period. Made from the noble Nebbiolo grape, "Prugnolo" is a structured and full-bodied wine, crafted from carefully selected grapes from the terraces of Valtellina Superiore. It undergoes a pre-fermentation cryo-maceration lasting about 60 hours, followed by controlled-temperature maceration with continuous pumpover. The wine then matures for approximately twelve months in small oak barrels previously used for Sfursat Fruttaio Ca' Rizzieri. Afterward, it is blended in stainless steel tanks and aged in bottle for at least 9 months before being released.

Polished and refined with a firm, fine and linear tannin structure. Harmonious. Perfumed violets, roses and subtle licorice. All in balance here, with precise layers of black fruit, minerals and pencil lead. Rather seamless. Firm, yet fine and sleek to the end. Very classy. Fine-velvet texture. 96% cabernet sauvignon, 3% merlot and 1% petit verdot.

In 2021, the vines of Cos d’Estournel Blanc yielded a graceful wine that is rich and finely structured, thanks in part to their ongoing ability to delve deeper in the estate’s soils but also thanks to the breezes of the nearby Gironde Estuary and the ongoing efforts of the estate’s teams. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are concentrated but balanced by the natural vivacity of their terroir, while the Sémillon —whose distinct mineral character derives from the limestone in the vineyard’s soils– are once again used in a larger proportion in the final blend. Extremely complex, Cos d’Estournel Blanc 2021 is a magnificent, harmonious expression of white peach, rose, bergamot, lemon, and flint. Remarkable energy accompanies a rich, precise palette of aromas, resulting in an accomplished, fascinating wine with great cellaring potential.

Polished and well-structured red with a medium body and firm but creamy and broad tannins. Perfumed already, with sandalwood, blackberry and currant character. Crushed stones. Tea leaves, too. Firm and solid to the end. Very solid for the vintage. 59% cabernet sauvignon, 28% merlot, 10% cabernet franc, 1.5% carmenere and 1.5% petit verdot.

Antonio Fattori's passion for winemaking traces back to his family's legacy, with roots planted in the early 1900s by his grandfather, who returned from WWI to restore vineyards devastated by phylloxera. Today, the Fattori family continues this tradition, crafting expressive and intriguing wines in Veneto. Their white wines, grown on basalt slopes in the alpine valley, showcase a distinct minerality. Their Soave, made from the Garganega grape, is a dry white wine renowned for its vibrant citrus and honeydew melon notes, accented by a subtle hint of macadamia nut. Easy-drinking and delightful, it captures the essence of the region.

This selection (above reserve) from the estate vineyard has the sort of raisin and prune aromas that suggest super-ripe fruit. It's tannic and chewy, a style more reminiscent of Shiraz than most Pinot Noirs, and the finish brings the heat.

62% of this expression’s tequila was column-distilled, then aged in European barrels that were previously used to age wine. 38% of the tequila in this lot was distilled in an Alembic pot still, then aged in French Oak barrels. The result is a smooth, rich, and complex flavour profile.

John Dewar & Sons Ltd has unveiled a 12-year-old expression from its Macduff distillery, previously recognized as Glen Deveron but now rebranded as the Deveron. This offering presents a delicate and inviting aroma, characterized by soft sweetness and fruity nuances. Notes of vanilla, ginger, ripe peaches, and apple blossom tantalize the senses. On the palate, it offers a medium-bodied texture with a gentle spiciness, featuring butterscotch and Brazil nuts, followed by a subtle hint of licorice. In 1854, Hiram Walker, an American entrepreneur with interests in the flour and grain industry, ventured into whisky production in Detroit. At the time, many grain merchants and millers dabbled in whisky production as a means of utilizing surplus grain and milling by-products. However, with Michigan's burgeoning temperance movement threatening prohibition, Walker relocated his distillery across the Detroit River to Windsor, Ontario in 1858. To differentiate his Canadian-produced whisky from American counterparts and to denote its higher quality, Walker branded his product "Canadian Club." This whisky boasts a nose redolent of vanillans, with subtle notes of crystallized sugar and fresh fruit. On the palate, it reveals a rich complexity, showcasing stone fruits like plum and dried apricot, with oak undertones that are well-balanced despite its aging. The finish is long and harmonious, making it a standout whisky.

Deeply coloured with garnet highlights. Sun-ripened nose showing a mix of stone fruits, strong spices and smoky notes. The palate is full and chewy with clean aromatics revolving around a menthol core. Sleek, energetic finish for a balanced and very fleshy wine.

One of the original producers that grows Trebbiano Abruzzese, one of the few quality grapes of the Trebbiano group. There is not much of this exported and even fewer bottles of the Montepulciano. Francesco Valentini and his son are the only humans allowed in the cellar as Francesco never wants to introduce foreign microbes or yeasts to interfere with the ageing of the wine. These are some of the most ageable white wines in the world and in fact, could be considered “unicorns” as they are hard to find here in Canada.  Truly collectible.

There's a faint coppery tinge to this wine's rosy pink hue, and the fruit is somewhat muted, but this remains an enjoyable drink. Leather and scorched cherry flavors are carried by a supple, rounded mouthfeel, finishing with moderate length and intensity. Easy to drink, but not one to hold more than another few months. Scotland has hundreds of islands, many of them familiar to scotch lovers, but the one known as Arran has flown beneath the radar. This sleeper single malt has a sublime aroma of bread dough that barely hints at the lively flavors that await in the glass, which include freshly shelled almonds, sweet berries, and clover honey, plus a toasty finish with a lovely (if not overly long) chocolate note. A balanced, elegant, and flavorful whisky that’s lively on the palate, and a true bargain
