The history of Chateau Duhart-Milon is not as well known as it should be. In the 18th century the wines of Milon became the "second" wine for Chateau Lafite. The 1855 classification awarded Duhart-Milon the only 4th growth in Pauillac, recognizing it for the quality of its soil. Sometime between 1830-1840 35 acres was left to the Casteja family who subsequently possessed a 99 acre vinyard name Duhart-Milon. Over the years the property changed hands many times and suffered a decline in the quality of the wines. The property was acquired in 1962 by the Rothschild family who totally overhauled the vineyards and brought back the quality of the wine as a 4th growth. This 2011 is a red blend from Pauillac in Bordeaux that is composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, this is a medium bodied wine with finesse and purity showing ripe berries, tobacco, spice and leather with an excellent freshness on the palate. This wine is ready to drink now, and should age for a few more years yet.

Winemaker Notes

A wine of good density ruby red, with brown, mahogany, biscuit hints. The rim is fairly thick and the legs are fine, clear, abundant and regular. At once expressive, forthright and complex. There are notes of all families of fragrance: fruit, flowers, and spices. The attack is forthright, round and suave, soothing even. The intense aromas initially recall the complexity of the nose. There is leather and lightly charred wood, and roasted notes. The beauty of the wine is revealed by its elegance rather than its full-flavor. The wine has an attractive aromatic range with a finish of remarkable elegance.

This wine was grown in Rheinhessen one of the most important wine-growing regions in Germany. Gewürztraminer is a strong spicy white wine grape; it has a rich bouquet sometimes like perfume.Tasting Notes: Intensely perfumed with aromas of rose petals, lychee nuts, and super-ripe pineapples. This wine is full-bodied, rich, lots of different aromas but not heavy. Still, you can taste the finesse of the grape variety.

A nice fruity bouquet of berries and cherries introduce this wine. It is a soft smooth red, made for people just starting to get into red wines. A fruit-driven wine, refreshingly light with just a touch of chocolate.

Cava is Spain's famous traditional method sparkler, made in the rolling hills of Penedès, southwest of Barcelona. This is a red wine made from the Malbec grape variety. It is likely to have a deep purple color and aromas of dark fruit such as plum and black cherry, with hints of vanilla and spice. On the palate, it is expected to be dry, full-bodied, and structured, with flavors of blackberry and vanilla.

Coming from a ten-generation family of winegrowers, Chanson Père & Fils, Thibaut started his career -- and honed his skills for seven years -- at the family winery in Beaune. Today, he puts his experience, passion and energy at the service of the great wines of Burgundy. Every effort has been made at Seguin-Manuel to let the wines express their natural balance and each cuvée is crafted with the intention of reflecting its terroir with panache. Complex and smooth, offering rich fruit flavours and fine tannins. Classic Cabernet Franc typicity is evident with the concentrated fruit and cinnamon spice, with an intriguing character of earthiness and cloves.

A legend throughout the entire Cote-d'Or, Henri de Villamont can be easily spotted from miles around due to its famous Guettes Tower and beautiful manor house, which has drawn wine lovers on a Burgundy pilgrimage for many decades. Located in the heart of one of the region's prettiest villages, Savigny les Beaune, Henri de Villamont is a magical place, surrounded by high walls and scores of Premier Cru vineyards. The property is owned by a major Swiss family company who have been in the wine business for over 20 years. A shy nose that very slowly releases precise red berries. Eventually this rounds in the mouth, has a hint of salt too. This has decently understated concentration and real grand cru complexity here. Understated, sometimes subtle, but excellent.

This classic Cabernet Sauvignon fills the glass with vivid aromas of blackberry, black cherry, warm earth, and baking spice. The flavors richly echo the wine's aromas, adding juicy layers of summer briar fruit, berry compote, cinnamon, lively red and black plums, and mocha with a long, radiant finish.

This family owned Domaine has a prestigious location: they are the only Domaine located inside the walls of Clos Vougeot itself. They are the largest owners of land with 5.5ha, many of these with Pinot Noir vines that were planted in 1910. Although they always farmed organically, they received their certification in 2021. The Grand Cru is a cuvée that is the most faithful expression of Clos de Vougeot. Picked from different plots, the grapes are vinified and aged separately, then blended just before bottling. This 100% Pinot Noir is a powerful wine with penetrating aromas of cherry and spice. Powerful tannins and mouth filling, give this wine some time to settle down. 

Its aromas are intense and elegant. Cabernet Franc brings sweet spices, black pepper and light notes of eucalyptus and thyme. Malbec brings notes of ripe black fruits, blackberries and black cherries. The oak aging gives a touch of chocolate and vanilla to blend.

The aromas of iodine and blackcurrants with roses and lavender make the wine extremely perfumed. It's full-bodied with a tight, fine-tannined palate that shows linear flow through the center palate. It's vertical and integrated, adding depth and serious quality to the wine.

Beautiful, resolved nose, a touch of delightful oxidation, coffee and chocolate but still that cherry ripe red fruit clarity. In the mouth it is silky and dense, a flood of quite meaty and fleshy black fruit, super ripe tannins and lovely plum and cherry skin acidity giving length. A beautifully resolved and complete wine.

Koyle's Cabernet Sauvignon has been on the scene since 2008. Sourced from Organic and Biodynamic vineyards in Los Lingues, and Colchagua Andes, the Koyle Royale Cabernet spends 25 days fermenting in stainless steel tanks and then 20 months in 225 Litre French Oak Barriques before bottling.

TASTING NOTES
A very complex and concentrated interpretation of Tempranillo, complemented by 15% Merlot. The grapes come from a single vineyard at the foot of Sierra Cantabria with an elevation of 700 meters. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in stainless steel with a 20-day maceration. This is followed by barrel aging in French for 14 months. The colour of the wine is an inviting bright red with hints of purple. The aroma is full of ripe fruit with a hint of almond skin and aromatic herbs. The palate has a beautiful mouth-feel with soft tannins, complex yet smooth and an underlying touch of well-integrated oak aging. A lively acidity provides balance, leading into a harmonious, long finish.

From the legendary Michel Chapoutier, this is a consistently highly-rated wine that reliably delivers big flavour in an intense yet elegant package. Look for bold red and dark fruit with earth and spice notes. Great for burgers, ribs, or lamb.

The Tuscany Verruzzo di Monteverro was born in vineyards located in the Grosseto municipality of Capalbio, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma.

It is produced with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese grapes, harvested exclusively by hand between the first ten days of September and the first of October. The vinification takes place entirely "by fall", so as not to deplete and allow the highest expression in the glass. Subsequently the wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels before being bottled.

It has a bright garnet red colour with purple nails. The nose opens with floral aromas of rose and lavender, enriched with fruity notes of plum and wild strawberries. On the palate it is structured, soft and with character, with hints of rose, strawberry and melon.

Ideal in combination with lasagna and first courses with lamb ragù, this red wine is perfect to accompany medium-aged cheeses.

100% Verdicchio. Intense, complex, persistent bouquet of apricot compote and spice; full body, exceptional, layered richness. The structure and concentration of a red wine, it should not be served too cold, and is best with a little time for decanting before consumed.

Burrowing Owl's flagship blend opens on aromas of cassis, red currant, burlap, roasted red pepper, chocolate, paprika and some pretty violet floral notes in the background along with a hint of toasty oak.
