Antoniolo Erbaluce di Caluso is a bright yellow wine with pale green reflections in the glass. The nose is very floral, with jasmine, green apple and apricot. The palate is crisp and very fine, elegant, with very tasty acidity. Strong mineral core, very refreshing.

The Vietti Colli Tortonesi Timorasso Derthona, aged in a mix of oak and ceramic tile-lined cement, is a wine with impressive tension and ample texture. Another great wine from the winemaking team at Casale del Giglio, this is another "petit" wine, although there's nothing little about it. Typically the grape used in Bordeaux blends to provide the tannic backbone, it's seen more and more often as a monovarietal wine. The Petit Verdot is part of a special research project that was launched in 1985 with the goal to identify maximize the territory’s potential for quality viticulture. Finding ideal growing conditions with respect to climate, elevation, and soil, the Petit Verdot matures into an elegant and full-bodied red wine with great berry flavours. Velvety and ripe tannins provide a great backbone. A complex wine with great aging potential.

The Vicini family, established near Pescara around 1500, has been engaged in agriculture since their wool merchant days, with their wine cantina built in 1853. Recently, Chiara Ciavolich inherited the vineyards from her aunt Giuliana Vicini and launched the Giuliana Vicini label to honour her grandmother and showcase the terroir. This crisp Pecorino wine, sourced from vineyards near Miglianico at 250 meters elevation, offers refreshing citrus and white flower notes. Once thought extinct, Pecorino is now prized in Italy’s eastern coastal regions. Vinified in stainless steel, it serves as a vibrant alternative to Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio!

Bright ruby red with dark core. On the nose dried plums and figs, dark berries, dried roses and cocoa. On the palate rich fruit flavours, nice tannin and good length, slightly drying on the finish.

The Fiano di Avellino is grown on the Irpinia hills, where the peculiar microclimate lends the wine notes of toasted hazelnuts and soft dried fruit. The acidity adds an extra splash of personality and makes it the perfect choice for pairing with soups, seafood and your favourite white meat dishes.

Since 1694, Benanti is synonymous with quality and represents a profound respect for Etna and the wine in produces. Grapes grown on the slope from north to southwest are at altitudes of 450-1050 meters above sea level. Benanti is the only winery that has vineyards located on every slope of the DOC Etna. The Dafara Galluzza vineyard is located on the prestigious north slope of Etna, at 750 metres asl, it is extremely suited to growing Nerello Mascalese. The nose is fine, heady, spicy, with measures of red fruit. The palate is chewy and intense, yet vibrant and surprisingly light on its feet. Sour cherry mingles with wood, chocolate and earth, then a lingering spicy finish.

With its usual deep ruby red colour, Ornellaia 2020 stands out on the nose with ripe red fruits and delicate vanilla and gentle tobacco notes. Upon tasting, the wine reveals itself to be rounded and velvety, making an enjoyable and engaging first impression that entices for a second sip. The tannins are dense yet elegant and the finish proves to be savoury and enduring.

Named for the Norman princess who lived around Cirò in the 11th century, the Mabilia is made from 100% Gaglioppo grapes. The juice is left on the skins for 24 hours, with only a delicate pink colour extracted, and the resulting wine being very fruity with notes of watermelon, red cherry, and roses. Fresh, lively, and fruity, this rosato is a great match for chicken, turkey and fish dishes.

Negro Amaro, a black grape grown in Puglia, the heel of Italy's boot, is often misspelled: unlike what is seen on many labels, it is two distinct words and should be written that way. Wines made with negro amaro are always dense, thick with blackberry, black cherry, licorice with clove and cocoa accents. Tenuta del Pajaru is Certified organic, using only natural yeasts and non-intervention winemaking, the wines express their sense of place. Get a mouthful of blackberry jam, spice and chocolate, pair this wine with strong cheese and hearty meat stews.

Exclusive to CLS, we don't often see Nebbiolo done in rose form, but the brother and sister team at Antoniolo of Lorella (whom this wine is named after)and Alberto have created this gorgeous rosato that is intense and fragrant with juicy red raspberries and violets. Initial mouth feel is soft but the acidity is high with a subtle spicy kick. Slight tannins and medium alcohol all rolled into a perfectly balanced wine. Only 50 more bottles left in the province, and they are here at CLS, so be sure to get your hands on one (or three, or...)

Aperol was created in 1919 by brothers Luigi and Silvio Barbieri who, after no less than 7 years of research and study, presented it for the first time at the Padua International Trade Fair. Since its first presentation to the public, Aperol has been distinguished by its bright orange color and inimitable bittersweet taste that make it unique and synonymous with quality aperitifs. Light, with 11 degrees, but with a rich taste given by the infusion of a mix of the highest quality herbs and roots.

Located in Montalcino, these Super-Tuscan wines from Luce (Light) are named for the altitude and southern exposure of their vineyards. Cool, breezy nights preserve the aromatic complexities of the grape and make for slow, even ripening. The Lucente is made primarily from Merlot with the addition of Sangiovese. Intense and bright red, the nose opens with intense fruity hints of blackberry, plum and currant, enriched by toasted and vanilla nuances. On the palate it is full and enveloping, soft and elegant, with a persistent finish that displays a pleasantly sweet and fruity aftertaste.

The vintage is characterized by intense aromas of ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, with hints of spices, such as black pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with soft tannins and a long, persistent finish.

This wine is made from a blend of Sangiovese and small amounts of complementary grape varieties, all of which are handpicked and undergo a fermentation and maceration process.

On the nose, this wine exhibits intense aromas of ripe red fruit, with hints of spice and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a good balance of acidity and tannins. Flavors of cherry, plum, and a hint of vanilla are present, with a long and persistent finish.

A fruity nose with tart cherries, strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries. After some time in your glass the fruits settle, though are still prominently featured. Slight hints of earthiness, eucalyptus, and green bell pepper tone down the fruits, but keep to the background. Try slightly chilled.

The Paternoster Rotondo Aglianico del Vulture is a full-bodied red wine made from 100% Aglianico grapes grown in the Aglianico del Vulture subregion of Basilicata, Italy. The wine is deep ruby red in color and offers aromas of ripe dark fruits, leather, tobacco, and spices. On the palate, it is rich and intense with flavors of blackberry, plum, licorice, and black pepper, with firm tannins and a long, persistent finish. Tenuta Scuotto's Greco di Tufo DOCG is a crisp and refreshing white wine with a bright straw yellow colour. 100% Carricante. Pietradolce “Archineri” Etna Bianco DOC is a structured wine, with complex aromas of grapefruit and herbs; fresh and flavorful, long finish. This pure native variety is an intense expression of its terroir. Lovely acidity and great minerality are characteristics of the terrain (Milo), which is undoubtedly the best for Etna whites.

Jermann Vintage Tunina IGT is a premium white blend made from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana, and Picolit grapes. This wine is produced by the renowned Italian winemaker Jermann, located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy. On the nose, the wine has intense aromas of ripe tropical fruits, including mango, pineapple, and papaya, along with a hint of honey and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with flavors of ripe peach, apricot, and pear, as well as a subtle minerality and a long, smooth finish. The 2019 bottling marks the 20th anniversary of the production of Oreno. This “Super Tuscan” of Merlot, Cabernet and Petit Verdot are blended beautifully with aromas and flavours of black fruit, exotic spice, cured tobacco and new leather.

The Vigneto Cialdini is Cleto Chiarli's top-of-the-line Lambrusco Grasparossa. The vineyard is located in the heart of the Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro denomination, where this member of the Lambrusco family has been cultivated since time immemorial. The wine is made through a single fermentation under pressure, rather than the normal two-fermentation process of almost all other sparkling wines. This is in the brut range, with a slight sweetness detectable. Vigneto Cialdini is the name of the vineyard, dedicated to Enrico Cialdini, who was a famous general during the unification of Italy.

Rich in red and blue flowers giving pleasure in the notes of lavender, passionflower, magnolias and gardenias. A lot of citrusy hints describe the secondary scene. Medium to full bodied, extremely light, gentle tannins of very fine grain and a harmonic, balanced finale with a smooth, progressive closure.

Grignolino is a rare grape variety hailing from Monferatto in Piemonte. Lighter than nebbiolo and more tannic, it is a love it or hate it wine, but very unique and worth trying a a glass! Fermented and aged in stainless steel, it’s light garnet red in the glass, with perfumed aromas of wild strawberry, cranberry, maraschino cherry, raspberries, rose petals, white pepper, and a hint of leather. Don't let the light colour fool you: it is high in tannins, yet high acidity and mouthwateringly fresh.

Carricante is the native white grape and can ripen up to altitudes of 900 meters above sea level. High, zesty acidity is a hallmark of this grape, and the Alta Mora is no exception to this rule. Sourcing their grapes from five separate contrade, their altitudes sit between 600-750m asl. The freshness of these areas allows full ripening of the Carricante without altering its aromas. A slight nod to sauvignon blanc, it is spicy and rich with fresh minerality, yellow apple, white flowers, lemon cream icing and ginger. Delicious and perfect with seafood dishes.
