The nose of this wine needs some air in order to wake up but soon notions of ripe Amalfi lemon and butter rise from the glass. On the palate, freshness takes center stage, with a playful, concentated finesse that dances across the tongue. The wine is wonderfully sprightly and refreshing, with unforced resonance. Bright young straw colour wth a green hue. Pure and fragrant aromas offering white peach, pear, lemongrass and flinty notes. The palate shows very nice restraint in terms of freshness, mouth watering with crisp young stone fruit flavours, good volume and texture with fine extract and a very long vibrant finish.

A multi-vineyard blend, this uses both barrel and concrete egg ferments. It's textured and complex, with lightly buttery apple fruit, a whiff of toast and salty minerality. It was aged for 16 months, and roughly half of the barrels used were new.

 Arnot-Roberts Watson Ranch Chardonnay is a distinguished example of California Chardonnay, hailing from the cooler, southern reaches of Napa Valley. It features a pale, golden hue and a complex bouquet of green apple, lemon zest, and flint, with subtle undertones of vanilla and toasted oak derived from its careful aging. On the palate, it offers a crisp acidity that beautifully balances its medium body and depth of flavor. The taste evolves from citrus and orchard fruits to a more nuanced minerality and a hint of salinity, reflecting the vineyard's coastal influence. The finish is long and refreshing, with a lingering complexity that invites contemplation. Their Chardonnay is a testament to the winery's commitment to highlighting the unique character of their vineyard sites, producing a wine that is both refined and expressive.

Medium yellow/green colour. There are intense pea-pod & asparagus aromas. The palate is rich with a touch of sweetness/juicy ripeness, overlaid by toasty oak. The alcohol adds a touch of warmth & the acidity is quite tart, leaving green notes on the finish.

Medium golden yellow, silver reflections. Nuances of yellow apple, delicate pineapple, fine citrus zest, mineral touch. Medium complexity, white fruit, fine acid structure, subtle extract sweetness in the finish, well balanced, already developed and easy to drink, subtle floral honey in the aftertaste.

The aromas are bright, with notes of honey dew, lemon and spice, much more fruit forward than this wine usually is. The palate meanwhile is reserved. It seems fragmented at present, but many good pieces are there. Sean P. Sullivan

The grapes for Meursault Les Meurgers are coming from the parcel located on the route to Auxey Duresses, in a horseshoe shape ravine. The grapes always reach ripeness quite early in the season. The name of this village comes from the efforts undertaken by man to plant vines in extremely stony soils. Stones that were thrown formed piles, that are called "murger".

Rich and luxurious wine, well balanced and structured in the mouth. Beautiful golden yellow in color with green highlights. It boasts aromas of toasted nuts, ripe fruit and a very delicate oak aroma. On the palate it is dry and mellow with a lingering smooth finish.

Nose: Intense aromas of citrus fruits, particularly grapefruit, with hints of white flowers and a touch of honey.

Taste: Crisp and refreshing on the palate, with flavors of lemon, lime, and green apple. Subtle notes of tropical fruits and a delicate minerality.

Palate: Well-balanced acidity, offering a lively and vibrant mouthfeel. The wine has a medium body and a long, zesty finish.

This does, in fact, attack the palate with a burst of raw wood that sharpens up the mouthfeel. More time in bottle and plenty of aeration will help to smooth that out. Vinified in a brand new foudre, the Dijon 76 clone fruit is polished and mixes apple, pear and peach with a touch of fruit skin.

A very aromatic dry white wine, fruity, flowery, complex and well done. The palate is very aromatic, balanced, mineral and quite long. It expresses notes of white fruits, flowers, apricot and more slightly associated with honeyed tropical fruit note. Presence of a small pretty nice acidity that brings freshness in the mouth.

An elegant, complex nose offers lime, citrus blossom and gooseberry, then mixed dried herbs and an almost imperceptible but essential umami undertone of Parmesan rind. The balance between savory and citrus continues on the palate, where a mineral backbone and substantive acidity provide structure within a rich, satiny texture.

Find delightful aromas of fresh verbena lemon and pastry filling and roasted hazelnuts in this wine. The palate impresses with intense focus, offering ripe citrus flesh, orange oil, white lily, chamomile and almonds. Medium bodied with a lactic edge, it finishes saline with lingering notes of vanilla.

The wine has a medium golden yellow color & a real viscosity. The honeyed aromas have an overlying honeysuckle perfume. The palate is hugely sweet with rich honey, juicy, ripe apricot & intense perfumed honeysuckle flavors. Acidity is balanced and alcohol adds warmth & roundness. The finish has notes of vanilla & marzipan touches, but ends sweet with opulent ripe apricot fruit.

The structure on this wine, which comes from vines planted in 1984, keeps it tight and stony after many days of being opened, indicating longevity in the cellar. Aromas of lemon sauce, crusty brioche and flinty rocks on the nose lead into a tense palate of orange peel and wet stone. Drink now–2040.

This white wine from an estate property is bright in lemon and tangerine, with a tasty accompianment of biscotti and anise. Well-integrated oak gives it structure and weight without being intrusive. A touch of pie dough and nutmeg coats the finish. Virginie Boone

The 30-year-old single malt from Glengoyne is a must-try for whisky enthusiasts. The Kentucky Owl Mardi Gras XO Cask Limited Edition is an exclusive release crafted by finishing an 11-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey in Bayou Rum XO Casks for over a year. This unique whiskey, celebrating Mardi Gras and Louisiana pride, is bottled at 102.8 proof (51.4% ABV). On the nose, it offers robust toasted rye bread notes with farm-fresh sweet butter, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg. The palate is rich with flavors of rye whiskey and sweet butter whipped with allspice, culminating in a smooth finish with sweet, buttery notes and a warming nutmeg coda.

This limited edition release from Laphroaig, bottled in March 2017, underwent a unique maturation process. Initially aged in refill hogsheads, a portion was transferred to refill quarter casks, while the rest remained in first-fill bourbon barrels. After a total of 27 years of aging, the whiskies were blended and bottled at 41.7% ABV.

A delight for Tomatin fans, the first batch of their 36-year-old single malt Scotch whisky was unveiled in mid-2015. Distilled in 1977 and matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks until March 2015, this well-aged expression is bottled at 46% ABV. Expect masses of milk chocolate, oak spice, and subtle orchard fruit notes in this top-notch Highland dram. This release was limited to just 800 bottles.

This 2021 bottling of Bowmore was distilled in 1989 and matured for 30 years in a combination of sherry hogsheads and bourbon barrels. Aged in the legendary Bowmore No. 1 Vaults, this edition is selected from just two casks each year.

Tobermory 42 Year Old Sherry Cask Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a historic bottling from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull. This exceptional whisky contains some of the first spirit produced when the distillery reopened in 1972. Renowned for its long-aged sherried profile, it boasts a rich texture, with pronounced spice and sweet fruit characteristics. An impressive 1952 Glen Grant single malt from Gordon & MacPhail's Private Collection, matured in a single first-fill sherry butt for 70 years, was bottled to honour the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 6 February 2022, the date of her accession. The nose reveals aromas of beeswax, ripe figs, toffee, orange zest, raisins, and aged leather, while the palate offers notes of blackberry compote, clementine, milk chocolate, black pepper, and a hint of wood smoke, all lingering through the finish.
