Deep, dark ruby-red color. There is ripe, dark-fruit on the nose & palate, but it is overlaid by sulphidic, reduced notes that are very unpleasant - two bottles were tasted & the same was true of both.

A pure expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a lush and beautiful wine, with thick layers of red fruit, chocolate, spice and tobacco. The mouthfeel is firm, streamlined and very nicely held together.

Strong cedar, toast and clove aromas continue into the flavors of this lavishly oaked and moderately tannic wine, giving it a flashy profile that will be fine for casual occasions.

Medium to deep ruby red colour. Aromas are meaty with red fruits. The palate is firm & again quite meaty. Alcohol is warm & the acid quite soft, fruit on the finish is a little flat & rounded.

This wine's nine months in French oak, 30% new and 70% neutral, is a winning combination. A pronounced raspberry-pie aroma is joined by notes of sage and orange zest. There's a meatiness to the palate, with tart cherries blending with fennel and Italian sausage notes. The acidity is zippy and the mouthfeel crisp.

Faro is an appellation located on the hills overlooking the Strait of Messina in Sicily. A truly unique wine made will all indigenous varietals: Nerello Mascalese, Cappuccio, Nocera, and a small fraction of Acitana, Galatena, Jacché, and Cor ’e Palumba.  In the glass you will fine new leather, wild berry, dark spice and camphor and a smooth, bull-bodied palate full of licorice, cinnamon and cherry . Tannins are full yet polished.

Alluring aromas of nutmeg and coriander immediately invite the nose, leading to a deep core of black cherries, rhubarb, wild mint, eucalyptus and clove. A blend of cabernet sauvignon fruit from select vineyards across Napa Valley, this deep ruby wine opens with inviting aromas of black cherry, black peppercorn, and toasted sage. Clearly a bigger and more structured wine than the 2014, this has blackberry and fig notes along with a lick of minerality, suggested by both the texture and the gunsmoke edge to the finish. It’s enjoyable and approachable, although still young. The alcohol levels are high in 2015, but the St-Emilion plateau is a relatively forgiving spot for generous alcohols because there’s a natural minerality and freshness from the limestone. 30% new oak. Vigna Colonnello is ruby red with garnet hues. The nose is intense and well-balanced with notes of blueberries, raspberries and currants accompanied by balsamic hints, impressions of Mediterranean scrub and floral notes of dried roses.
