TASTING NOTES

The Juliette is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc and has her roots in the shale soils of the stunning Highfield farm in Elgin, in a vineyard farmed for premium wine. This includes intensive shoot thinning and leaf removal after berry set to allow optimum tropical flavours to develop in the fruit. Grapes were harvested in the cool early morning hours and sorted at cellar.

This attention to detail yielded a lively wine, with crushed pineapple, bananas and soft tropical notes of white peaches and pear on the nose. A full mouthfeel with fresh green melon flavours that excite the senses, and lingering finish complete the drinking experience.

Perfect for relaxing on a picnic blanket or with long lunches around the pool, surrounded by the stirring sounds of nature and the laughter of loved ones sharing a memorable moment. It is also a great wine for food such as grilled prawns, sushi and other seafood dishes.

Saburomaru Junenmyo 7 Year Old is a premium blended Japanese whisky from the Wakatsuru Saburomaru Distillery, aged for at least 7 years to deliver a smoky, rich, and complex flavour profile. Bottled at 46% ABV, it features a blend of malt and grain whiskies with a, notable, smoky character.

Jura 18 Year Old is a rich, fruity, and gently smoky single malt, aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Premier Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux red wine barriques. It features a rosewood gold color, with a palate of black forest fruits, toffee, and warm spice. 

The Jura 21 Year Old Tide is a premium, 46.7% ABV single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Jura's "Aged Vintage" series, matured in American white oak bourbon barrels and finished in virgin American oak casks. It offers a sweet, smoky, and spicy flavor profile, featuring notes of ginger, caramel, walnut, and roasted coffee.

JUSTIN Isosceles is a premier Bordeaux-style blend from Paso Robles, characterized by a deep ruby color and a complex, full-bodied profile. It features intense aromas of black cherry, cassis, and vanilla, with savory notes of cedar, tobacco, and cocoa. It offers a long, elegant finish with firm, polished tannins. 

Made entirely from Grenache, this lively rosé promises to add vibrancy to your table. It offers a complex palate featuring peach, apple, strawberry, tropical fruit, and savoury herb notes, all balanced by a crisp and elegant mouthfeel. This poised and generous wine pairs beautifully with Tuscan-style grilled trout, showcasing its buoyancy and balance.

KAH Tequila Añejo offers rich aromas of coffee, chocolate, and tobacco, developed during two years of aging in American white oak casks. The black and white bottle design honours Nicaraguan traditions, where people sleep at gravesites to maintain emotional connections with the deceased. Inspired by the Day of the Dead and traditional Calaveras, the bottle symbolizes death and rebirth, with each being a unique, hand-crafted piece of art. The tequila, made from 100% Blue agave, is certified organic and Kosher, reflecting the vibrant spirit of Mexico and its ancient rituals.

KAH Tequila Blanco is a double distilled, un-aged Tequila crafted from 100% Blue Agave and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). It offers an initial sweetness followed by a burst of peppery spice. Silky and delicate, it envelops the palate with a sachet of spices, creating a memorable tasting experience.

A straw-yellow reposado with classic flavors of white pepper joined by dusty hints of cocoa nib. A viscous, sweet first taste quickly moves to an incredibly bold, invigorating finish with intense flavors of cinnamon candy, roasted clove, and dark chocolate.

Kahlúa Chocolate Sips is a brown coffee and chocolate liqueur. Tasting notes include a rich, velvety texture with a smooth, balanced blend of coffee and chocolate flavors. The aroma is characterized by rich coffee and cocoa, often with a hint of vanilla. The taste features a deep, roasted coffee flavor paired with smooth, creamy chocolate, creating a sweet and approachable experience.

Kahlúa Coffee Flavoured Liqueur offers a rich and complex taste profile featuring strong coffee notes, blended with hints of vanilla, chocolate, and a touch of sweet butter. The aroma is characterized by freshly ground coffee, dark chocolate, and vanilla. Alternatively, you can savor this liqueur neat, poured over crushed ice, to fully appreciate its rich toffee and vanilla notes. The experience concludes with a comforting, warm, and smooth finish, making it a truly delightful indulgence.

The nose is enticing and spicy with black fruit and floral notes. Structured with soft tannins that lead to a finish that is fresh, complex and long, with fruit notes and subtle undertones of rosemary, thyme and dried flowers.

Kaiun Iwaizake Junmai Daiginjo is known for its smooth, fruity, and creamy flavor profile, often described as a balanced and velvety experience. It features notes of melon, pear, apple, and honey, along with hints of ripe fruit compote, honeydew, and a touch of banana. The sake is often considered a "feel-good" brew, well-suited for celebrations or as a gift.

Kaiun Iwaizake Tokubetsu Honjozo is a premium, crisp, and slightly dry Japanese sake from Doi Shuzojo in Shizuoka, featuring bright, fruity aromas of melon, pear, and banana. Polished to 60%, it offers a smooth, light-bodied, and refreshing taste with subtle umami. It is best served chilled or at room temperature, pairing well with sashimi and sushi.

Kaiun Junmai Ginjo (often labeled as Iwaizake) is a premium, award-winning Japanese sake from Shizuoka Prefecture, brewed by Doi Shuzo. It is characterized by a balanced, velvety, and, fruity profile with aroma notes of melon, pear, apple, and honey. It is made with 50-55% polished Yamada Nishiki rice and is best enjoyed chilled, offering a smooth finish with a hint of sweetness and acidity. 

Kaiyo 7 Year Old Mizunara Oak ("The Single") is a Japanese malt whisky characterized by a unique "ocean maturation" process and aging in rare Japanese Mizunara oak. It is distilled on a Coffey still and, after an initial maturation, spends a final 3-to-6-month period on a ship, where the constant motion of the ocean and changing air pressure are intended to intensify the interaction between the whisky and the oak.

A cask strength variant of Kaiyo Whisky, a Japanese teaspooned malt which has endured a maturation in mizunara casks - known for being expensive though difficult for coopers to work with. These whiskies also spend part of their maturation at sea, to help develop their flavour profiles.

Kaiyo The Peated is a rare, 46% ABV Japanese blended malt whisky matured in Mizunara oak and Madeira casks, then aged at sea. It offers a unique profile of sweet peat smoke with notes of nuts, honey, and orchard fruits. The, often described as an "ocean-aged" spirit, delivers a long, dry, and smoky finish.

Kaiyo The 1er Grand Cru 10 Year Old is a limited-edition, 46% ABV Japanese whisky matured for a decade in rare Mizunara oak casks, finished in French Grand Cru wine barrels, and aged at sea. It features a complex, rich profile with notes of honey, vanilla, coconut, and dried fruit, offering a smooth, lingering finish.

Kaiyo "The Kuri" Ariake Wood Collection is a 7-year-old Japanese single malt whisky, unique for its maturation in100% Japanese Kuri (chestnut) wood casks. Part of the Ariake ocean-aged series, it matures for 3 months at sea to enhance flavor. The 46% ABV, non-chill filtered whisky features tasting notes of lavender, honey, toasty nuts, and ginger.

Kaiyo The Sheri Third Edition is a premium 46% ABV Japanese whisky, matured in rare Mizunara oak and finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, often aged at sea for depth. It features a rich, complex profile with notes of dried fruit, toasted oak, caramel, and spice.

Kaiyo Whisky Japanese Mizunara Oak is a Japanese blended malt whisky matured in rare, handmade Mizunara oak casks and uniquely finished via a three-month ocean voyage. Known for its complex, aromatic profile, this whisky is un-chillfiltered, generally bottled at 43% ABV (or higher in cask strength expressions), and designed to showcase the influence of the porous, delicate Mizunara wood.

Kaiyo Whisky The Rubi 1st Edition is a premium, 46% ABV Japanese malt whisky matured in Mizunara oak for three years, ocean-aged for three months, and finished in Ruby Port pipes. It features a complex, viscous profile with notes of candied orange, toasted marshmallow, sandalwood, mango, dark chocolate, and peppermint.

Kanekou Okinawa Whisky (43% ABV) is a unique, award-winning blend from Shinzato Distillery, Japan's oldest operating distillery (est. 1846). It blends 3-year+ malt/wheat whiskies with 8-year+ sherry-cask-aged rice whisky. It offers a tropical, slightly sweet profile with notes of pineapple, citrus, ginger, and minerals, resulting in a smooth, long finish.

Kanonkop Estate, renowned for crafting some of the finest red wines in the Cape, is celebrated as a South African "First Growth." This fourth-generation family farm, currently managed by brothers Johann and Paul Krige, has been under the stewardship of the Sauer-Krige family since the early 1930s.

This classic Simonsberg Cabernet captures a remarkable coolness, even within the context of a warm vintage. Its perfumed nose is a complex bouquet of blackcurrants, fennel, cigar box, tea leaf, and the native "fynbos" shrub. On the palate, the wine is delicate and fresh, embodying an austere charm reminiscent of the old world. Grainy tannins enhance its earthy profile, leading to a lengthy finish nuanced with subtle hints of licorice.

The 6th release in Truth Malters Lunar Zodiac series: The Year of the Snake, is a cask of Kavalan Solist Fino Sherry Malt Whisky. Drawn from Cask #001, this is Kavalan’s first-ever Fino sherry private cask, and it is 11 years old!

Matured in Spanish top quality oloroso sherry casks in special editions, Kavalan Solist Sherry is bottled at the distillery, without any colouring or chill-filtration. It is a naturally smooth and rich whisky with a complex character.

Introducing Kavalan’s Triple Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky, a distillery-first masterpiece that marries premium Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez (PX), and Moscatel-aged casks with Kavalan’s velvety spirit and signature sweetness. CEO Mr. YT Lee describes it as a distinct whisky boasting dried fruits, rich caramel, sweet maltose, and tropical fruits. Through a meticulous three-stage balancing craft, the whiskies matured in their respective casks meld together in perfect fusion, resulting in optimal smoothness and up to nine distinct sherry dimensions. Kawatsuru Super Dry is a 15% ABV Japanese sake from the Kagawa region (Shikoku) known for a crisp, refreshing, and, as named, very dry taste. It is characterized by a clean, light finish, often with a subtle, rice-driven flavor profile suitable for pairing with light, savory dishes.

Kaze no Mori Tsuyuhakaze 507 is a premium Muroka Nama Genshu (unfiltered, unpasteurized, undiluted) Junmai Daiginjo from Yucho Shuzo, Nara, featuring 50% polished Tsuyuhakaze rice. Known for its bright, lively, and spritzy character, it offers notes of green apple, white peach, and melon with a creamy sweetness and sharp acidity.
