With a mashbill of 72/18/10% (corn/rye/malted barley), Old Forester offers a traditional recipe in a contemporary proof. Ponder the basics: caramel and vanilla with hints of herbs and baking spices. Promise shows in pumpkin spice, custard, and burnt caramel, but there’s an unwanted high-alcohol note that dulls much of the sweeter taste. Its final moments are saved with hints of cinnamon. In 1870, George Garvin Brown established Old Forester on Louisville, KY's renowned whiskey row. To commemorate this pivotal year in bourbon history, we present Old Forester 1870 Original Batch, the inaugural craft expression in the Old Forester Whiskey Row Series.

Old Forester 1870 Original Batch pays homage to George Garvin Brown's original batching method. In his time, Brown combined barrels from three distilleries to achieve a consistent flavor profile. To replicate this process today, we meticulously select barrels from three warehouses, each originating from a distinct day of production, with varying entry proofs and age profiles.

These three iterations of Old Forester are then blended to create Old Forester 1870 Original Batch. This 90-proof bourbon is minimally filtered to honour the techniques available to George Garvin Brown during that era.

Ben Nevis Distillery is a distillery in Scotland that is located at Lochy Bridge in Fort William and sits just at the base of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, which rises to 4,409 feet above sea level. A coastal distillery in the Western Highlands, Ben Nevis draws its water from the Allt a'Mhuilinn which originates from two pools, Coire Leis and Coire na'Ciste. Founded in 1825 as an independent enterprise, it has been owned by Nikka Whisky Distilling of Tokyo, Japan, since 1989.
Nose: Treacle, strawberries and vanilla.
Palate: Sweet - with anise, Granny Smith apples and Kraft caramels.
Finish: Long and lingering with a rye spiciness and oak.

Proudly offered at a natural cask strength of 48.4%, this Single Cask bottling was distilled at Invergordon Distillery in 2002. Sweet and creamy with a plethora of vanilla and a perfect spicy oak character

Nose: Rich and aromatic with notes of dried fruits, honey, and vanilla.

Taste: Smooth and full-bodied, with flavors of caramel, toffee, and a hint of spice.

Palate: Complex and well-balanced, with a creamy texture and a long, warming finish.

It’s hot and spicy, but water quells it without losing the spice explosion, red berry notes, and roasted rye. Warm and more mellow on the finish, with excellent integration of oak, coffee, and bitter chocolate. Spice and tartness, with ably balanced fruit.

Matured wholly in air-dried, hand-selected ex-bourbon casks, the 'unashamedly excellent' Old Pulteney 12-years-old is the definitive expression in the Old Pulteney family.
Traditionally crafted using techniques that other distillers have long abandoned, this winner of numerous gold medals at the most prestigious international competitions is a high water-mark of quality spirits. Deep amber, red golden (with a slight pink hue) sparkling with a copper glow. Medium to high intensity with a briny hint of sea air.

This expression replaces the previous 17 year old, and has been aged in bourbon and second-fill American oak casks, followed by a period in first-fill Spanish oak oloroso butts. Sherry is immediately obvious on the nose, with fresh-baked fruitcake aromas, honey, and allspice. The palate is sweet and spicy, with Jaffa orange segments dipped in sea salt, toffee, and dark chocolate. Orange and oak in the medium-length finish.

Aromas of fresh almond, apple, biscuit notes and mineral flavours. Structure is solid and persistent.

Olivier Leflaive Chablis Les Deux Rives is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from vineyards in the Chablis appellation in Burgundy. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for up to 12 months to preserve its freshness and purity. It has aromas of green apple, lemon, and a hint of minerality. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing, with flavors of citrus, green apple, and a touch of salinity. The wine has a long and vibrant finish, with a good balance of acidity and minerality. Olivier Leflaive Chablis Les Deux Rives is a classic expression of Chablis Chardonnay, known for its crispness, purity, and minerality. It is a great match for seafood, oysters, and salads. Winemaker Notes : The Opus One 2018 offers profuse aromas of blackberry, cassis, and black cherry. Elegant notes of violets, white pepper, and rose petals follow and together they deliver a very seductive bouquet. The seamlessly layered flavors build to a crescendo of fresh and juicy black-fruit, accented with hints of orange zest, licorice, and dark chocolate. Beautifully balanced, the smooth round tannins and fresh acidity combine to create a soft, creamy mouthfeel and extend the flavors into a long persistent finish.

The estate vineyards of Opus One, comprised of 4 parcels, sit in the western portion of the famed Oakville AVA. Two parcels, totaling 100 acres, are within the renowned To Kalon Vineyard. These are complemented by the combined 70 acres of the Ballestra and River parcels, which envelop the winery. In the vineyards, hand-harvesting and other traditional approaches are taken wherever they work best. When modern techniques benefit the winegrowing process, they are researched, evaluated and integrated into practice.

The Orin Swift Machete, with its formidable 16.1% alcohol by volume, is a bold and intensely flavorful red wine blend that makes a striking impression. This wine is renowned for its deep, inky purple color and a powerful, complex bouquet that marries ripe dark fruits like blackberry and plum with layers of vanilla, toasted oak, and peppery spices. On the palate, it unfolds with a lush, full-bodied texture, offering concentrated flavors of dark cherries, blueberries, and black currants, accented by hints of licorice, mocha, and a subtle smokiness. The high alcohol content is well integrated, providing warmth without overpowering the wine's rich fruit character and velvety tannins. The finish is long and satisfying, with a lingering spice that complements the wine's opulent fruitiness. Machete's bold profile and rich complexity make it an excellent pairing with hearty dishes, such as grilled meats or robust cheeses, and it's a standout choice for those who appreciate wines with depth, intensity, and a touch of daring.

Traditionally, Palermo was a blend that included wine not used in Mercury Head or Papillon, but winemaker Dave Phinney now sources fruit specifically for this bottling. The Cabernet Sauvignon Palermo, aged for 11 months in 34% new oak and crafted from a blend of estate-grown and purchased fruit, also incorporates small proportions of Merlot and Malbec. It presents aromas of cherries, cassis, and subtle earthiness, complemented by hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Full-bodied and well-balanced, it offers a combination of firmness and softness, resulting in an overall enjoyable drinking experience.

Aromas suggesting scorched earth and French oak form the shy nose along with a whiff of dried botanical herb. Reflecting the aromas and the heat of the scorching vintage, the subdued, one-dimensional palate offers toasted hazelnut, espresso and the merest hint of dried cherry. It's evolving fast, so drink soon to capture what fruit remains.

Intense savory notes dominate the nose of this wine, from caramelized onions to fried herbs to fresh pastry. Lemon and other citrus offer an acidic throughline that carries over to a still very savory and now also saline palate. More spicy, herbal notes run through a leisurely finish.

An elegant, complex nose offers lime, citrus blossom and gooseberry, then mixed dried herbs and an almost imperceptible but essential umami undertone of Parmesan rind. The balance between savory and citrus continues on the palate, where a mineral backbone and substantive acidity provide structure within a rich, satiny texture.

With its usual deep ruby red colour, Ornellaia 2020 stands out on the nose with ripe red fruits and delicate vanilla and gentle tobacco notes. Upon tasting, the wine reveals itself to be rounded and velvety, making an enjoyable and engaging first impression that entices for a second sip. The tannins are dense yet elegant and the finish proves to be savoury and enduring.

The Poggio Alle Gazze Toscana IGT Bianco is a showcase of Bolgheri’s best terroir and features mostly Sauvignon Blanc, but the final blend features different grape varieties every vintage. This wine has the addition of 11% Vermentino and 6% Viognier with the Sauvignon Blanc to show an array of both citrus and tropical fruit notes accompanied by floral notes and the quintessential fresh cut grass and asparagus aromas from the Sauvignon. Always refreshing with a delicate vanilla coming out on the palate and always showing the salty tang on the finish, giving this wine a true sense of place.
