The Irishman Cask Strength is a series of limited-edition, high-proof Irish whiskeys from Walsh Whiskey, known for its annual release of a vintage cask strength blend of single malt and single pot still whiskeys. These whiskeys are bottled at their natural cask strength, meaning they are not diluted with water after maturation, resulting in a higher ABV (Alcohol By Volume). Jayson Cabernet Sauvignon, crafted by Pahlmeyer, is a full-bodied Napa Valley wine known for its rich, layered flavors and firm, yet supple tannins. It typically exhibits aromas of black cherry, orange zest, and hints of dust, evolving on the palate with notes of cherry, dark cocoa, and a touch of pine. The wine's structure suggests aging potential, with tannins that soften over time.

The FALESCO BRUNELLO LE MACIOCHE (also known as Famiglia Cotarella Le Macioche) is a Brunello di Montalcino wine that typically showcases a ruby red color with notes of dried wild plum, undergrowth of fresh juniper, and white musk. On the palate, it offers a deep, fruity character with elegant tannins and a long finish. Some vintages, like the 2019, might exhibit bright cherry fruit, menthol, balsamic herbs, and earthy tones.

Les Millandes premier Cru is an east facing sit and close to the GC of Clos de la Roche, growing 100% pinot noir. The soils are the same in both sites, resulting in similar wines. Les Millandes is always supple and seductive with dusty chocolate notes, along with the typical aromas of red berries, warm barking spices and earth. The tannins are structured, yet fine.

This wine is from a contiguous parcel that sits astride the Clos Prieur du Haut (classified 1er Cru) and the Clos Prieur du Bas (classified as a village wine); rather than create two tiny cuvées, the domaine prefers to blend the two to make an extra-fine village wine from the lieu-dit “Clos Prieur”. Harmand-Geoffroy owns a bit less than a half-hectare of vineyards in Clos Prieur and the vines therein were planted between 50 and 85 years ago. In our opinion, this is one of the finest village wines available from Gevrey; it is elegant yet powerful with a compelling density and ripe, sweet tannins.
