Old Forester 1870 Original Batch pays homage to George Garvin Brown's original batching method. In his time, Brown combined barrels from three distilleries to achieve a consistent flavor profile. To replicate this process today, we meticulously select barrels from three warehouses, each originating from a distinct day of production, with varying entry proofs and age profiles.

These three iterations of Old Forester are then blended to create Old Forester 1870 Original Batch. This 90-proof bourbon is minimally filtered to honour the techniques available to George Garvin Brown during that era.

Unbenownst to many, the country of Moldova is one of the world's oldest with the largest collection - over 2 million bottles, as well as the largest underground cellar used for storage of wines. This cuvee has 60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Blanc and 10% Pinot Noir for a soft wine with complex citrus flavours and nuances of peach.

Golden yellow in the glass, this sparkling wine has aromas of yeast, apple and freshly baked bread. It is slightly oxidized, with flavors of brioche and apple cider on the palate.

Chateau de Montifaud XO Cognac is a light and smooth extra old cognac created solely from eaux-de-vie grown in Petite Champagne.A fresh, non-tannic cognac, mellow with hints of almonds and aromas of dried fruits. A cognac much appreciated by the ladies, thanks to its light, fresh taste.

It is considered one of the highest quality Baijiu products in the world and is often referred to as the "king of Baijiu".It is made using traditional fermentation and distillation methods, using only high-quality sorghum as the main ingredient. The production process is highly controlled and takes several years to complete, with the liquor being aged in ceramic jars and underground cellars. One of the distinguishing features of Moutai Prince Chiew - Gold is its smooth and complex flavor profile. Montes Purple Angel is a premium red wine from Chile that is made from a blend of Carmenere and Petit Verdot grapes. Jim Beam White, also known as Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, is a classic American bourbon known for its approachable and versatile character. It's aged for four years in new, charred American white oak barrels, imparting a smooth and balanced flavor profile with notes of vanilla, caramel, and subtle spice. It's a popular choice for both sipping neat, on the rocks, or in classic cocktails.

This cheery buttercup-yellow spirit evolves from sweet to bitter in seconds flat. At first, it has a sweet, honey-like cast, then ginger and other herbal notes develop and, finally, it finishes dry, with an amaro-like bitter note. Traditionally consumed neat, Becherovka also stands up well to dilution (tonic, club soda) and makes a particularly refreshing apéritif chilled with a squeeze of lime.

Ilauri Bajo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a vibrant, ruby-red Italian wine from the Abruzzo region, featuring an intense aroma of ripe red fruits (cherry, plum, blackberry) framed by subtle oak spices. It is typically medium-bodied, velvety, and approachable, offering a balanced, juicy, and well-rounded palate with 13% ABV.

The first of the fine Divins produced in Moldova. It is made of top-quality 7-years-old wine distillates.

It is characterized by a refined taste and complex bouquet with resinous-vanilla notes. In 1967 at the International Beverage Contest, Montreal, “MOLDOVA” was declared the best world cognac in its category and awarded with Big Gold Medal.

It was also awarded with 2 gold and 3 silver medals at other events.

The essence of rhubarb adds a tart crisp edge to our smooth gin base whilst the ginger extract warms the palate for a full-bodied finish.
Johnny Neill’s gin evokes childhood memories of visiting his grandparents on their farm by taking a firm Whitley Family favourite in rhubarb and placing a warm twist on this with the addition of fresh ginger.

fresh aromas of raspberries and overripe strawberries are pronounced in this wine from the noble Pinot Noir variety. Pleasant acidity combined with a silky finish.

Torres 10 has a dark topaz colour with hues of gold. Intense aroma with warm hints of cinnamon and vanilla. Complete and persistent finish with aromatic notes of oak.

The nose of this wine presents fruity and slightly peppery aromas, including hints of lemons, grapefruits, green apples, pear drops, and fresh herbs. On the palate, it is zesty and succulent, offering a concentrated fruitiness balanced by crisp acidity. Flavors of citrus fruits, green apples, nettle, fresh cut grass, and sorrel add complexity. The finish is refreshing with citrus notes lingering on the palate.

As with much of what passes for Japanese whisky, the spirit for this one was not produced in Japan, it was however matured there for at least some of its life. This "pure malt", a term no longer allowed in Scotland, means it is a blend of different single malts, or a Blended Malt. The sourced whiskies, almost certainly Scottish, where matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry before marrying and gfinishing in Mizunara, Japanese Oak. 43%.

Tasting Notes

Nose: salted caramel, raisins, dates and figs; firm new leather, fruity tobacco and candied nuts; chocolate covered espresso beans and Twizzlers black licorice.

Palate: round, fruity and spicy; more salted caramel, firm new leather, Twizzlers Black and salty Dutch licorice; a trace of juicy malt, dried dark fruits and more chocolate covered espresso; drying and spicy with more cinnamon sticks, ginger root and fennel.

Finish: medium long, coating, drying and spicy; elegant but subtle.

Comment: the Mizunara oak notes do not come through quite as prominently for me on the 15 as they did on the 10 year; this is a more mature, austere and understated malt.

"LVNAE is named after the ancient "Portus Lunae" (the Port of the moon), one of the most important cities and ports of the ancient Roman Empire. It was established in 1966 by Paolo Bosoni, who transformed the winery by combining farming wisdom and business acumen. He is now joined by his children Debora and Diego. Lunae currently represents the largest winery in Liguria with an annual total production of approx. 780,000 bottles and a total of 85Ha. 50Ha are family-owned vineyards in the hills of Luni and Castelnuovo Magra and, in part, on the plain surrounding the ruins of the ancient city of Luni. 15Ha are on long-term leases and the other 20ha are from approximately 150 local growers who, supported by the company's technical staff, contribute their small grape production, keeping alive traditions and the unique quality of the wine.
The focus is on Vermentino which is distinguished by a selection of different vines and vinification and perfectly reflects the nature of the soil and unique climate which favors crisp, acidic, mineral whites and fruity, fresh reds. The red wines are Sangiovese-based blended with local varietals such as Massareta, Pollera Nera and Sangiovese (Sangiovese is very widespread in this area due to its proximity to Tuscany - 2 km only to the border)."
