A 2 Year Old Straight Bourbon from Texas distillery, Ironroot Republic. This has been distilled from a mash of 100% Bloody Butcher Corn, meeting the requirements for Bourbon having been matured in a new charred oak barrel (Char 1 - Heavy Toast).

Once again we’ve bottled this at natural cask strength and and have filled just 242 bottles.

An absolutely striking variety of Heirloom corn grown since the 1800’s, Bloody Butcher is probably the deepest red corn available anywhere. Ears grow to 12″, with a deep and bright red colour.

The distillery uses multiple varieties of corn, rye, wheat, and barley. The vast majority of which are grown within 60 miles of the distillery.

Bloody Butcher Corn is a pretty important grain for Ironroot Republic. They use it as a flavouring grain in about 20% of the whiskeys that they make, so to have a single cask 100% Bloody Butcher Corn Bourbon is kind of a big deal

Vineyard notes: "Our Chardonnay thrives in our American Canyon and Carneros vineyards in the southern tip of Napa Valley, near San Pablo Bay which spills into the San Francisco Bay. The cool maritime breezes and morning fog allow the grapes to slowly ripen to develop complex flavors while maintaining a bright, natural acidity. We farm all of our certified organic vineyards naturally, using the principles of regenerative agriculture."

The Giribaldi Barolo Ravera Riserva is a classic, full-bodied Nebbiolo from Novello, Piedmont, showing ruby-red with brick hues, offering complex aromas of cherry liqueur, berries, vanilla, spice (pepper, clove), and earthy notes like tobacco and mushrooms, with integrated tannins and high acidity providing an elegant, structured palate of red fruits and savory hints, best enjoyed with rich meats, game, or aged for further development.

Smoked meat, paprika, cumin, peppercorn, and star anise, amid fragrant smoke and maple bacon. The flavors are supremely fruity with tangerine, marmalade, lime zest, and pineapple juice. Among the fruit is a cascade of aromatic spices, before the interjection of a most compelling sour fruit note, and the smokiness takes charge. It’s certainly no Islay mimic, this terrific Indian whisky demonstrates it has the courage of its own convictions.

Scheurebe belongs to the spicy grape varieties and is ideal for spicy, aromatic dishes as a wine accompaniment. Its bouquet is reminiscent of cassis, ripe yellow fruits such as pear and peach. History: The vine breeder Georg Scheu succeeded in 1916 in the State Institute for Vine Breeding Alzey (30 km from Langenlonsheim) with his 88th seedling of a cross between Riesling and Silvaner in the convincing new breed - the Scheurebe.

Brother's Bond Original Cask Strength Straight Bourbon is a high-rye, 4-year-old Indiana whiskey (115.8 proof) created by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. A new, no age statement addition to the Laphroaig family that blends together Quarter Cask, PX, Triple Wood, and 10 year old. The nose is reminiscent of freshly-treated decking, before some classic iodine creeps in. Water brings out geranium, pollen, and damp leather. The palate is simple, clean, and mild (and smoky), with bay leaf, light dried fruit, and that oily wood. Undoubtedly there's a lot going on, but it’s not married, and 40% means it lacks the necessary wallop.

Sweet and sippable, this nut-brown spirit has complex, rich flavors and a soft feel. The aroma is dark and somewhat boozy, with notes of dried fruit and burnt toffee. On the palate, look for creamy vanilla, cinnamon, clove and mocha flavors, with a lovely rounded finish.

Extraordinarily aromatic, with notes of overripe banana, green papaya, molasses, toasted almond, and fermented mango. The palate offers more decadent notes of milk chocolate and spiced figs, but not without a peppery kick and touch of funk that this distillery is known for. Outstanding.
