This U.S.-exclusive release was initially aged in first-fill American oak sherry casks before a period of finishing in cognac casks. The history of Château Durfort-Vivens is linked to the Durfort-Duras family. Aging in 40% new barrels for 18 months.The result is a Margaux full of finesse and freshness.

With age the bright gold evolves to a dark amber colour. With an extensive life-span, it powerfully and harmoniously combines fruit and floral aromas with roasted and candied notes.

This hand harvested white wine made from the aromatic grape Muscat Ottonel offers intense nutmeg and floral aromas. The palate has a refreshing fruitiness reminiscent of ripe peach, white flowers and a lingering, lightly sweet finish. Pair with light desserts, creamy cheeses or exotic fresh fruits.

The De Grendel farm of Cape Town are always purveyors of good wine and this particular vintage show tropical fruit on the nose without that typical jalapeno pepper that is sometimes found in SA sauvignon blanc. Crisp and refreshing on the palate, yet with an unctuous mouth feel and continuing with tropical pineapple, guava and banana. Not complex, yet elegant and drinkable alone or with mixed green salads with poke tuna or salmon mixed in.

Whilst many years have passed, Portugal's majestic Douro Valley is still renowned for its exceptional port. We have selected some of its finest port pipes to house The GlenDronach for a second maturation period of three years.
