Deep violet-red to the eye, this wine has aromas of black cherry, blackberry preserves and a hint of mint. Fruit of the wood flavors are joined by notes of freshly ground espresso, dark chocolate and touches of eucalyptus and orange zest. Opulent tannins make their way across the palate and linger for a while.

Brilliant, shimmering ruby red. On the nose wild berries, rose hips, subtle leather, saffron, reverberating on earthy tones. The palate is exciting and has a creamy touch, showing warm-hearted fruit, with fine harmony, tight tannin on the finish, with drive.

The fruit for this comes from the first site in Washington to plant Syrah back in 1986. The aromas are fruit forward, with notes of ripe blackberry, black cherry and other black fruit, speckled with spice. Ripe, saturated dark-fruit flavors follow. Coffee notes linger on the finish. The color is a deep, dark, opaque black-purple. Aromas are of graphite, dark-plum & rich licorice. The palate is fresh with a concentrated licorice fruit. Then fine tannins have a slight greenish bite that is mouth-watering rather than particularly astringent. The mid-palate is medium to full bodied, dense, extracted & fairly subdued, with tary touches. The finish is long & structured but shows plenty of juicy cassis fruit.

Slightly developed ruby red color. Fresh nose of crushed berries, red currant and dry wood. The palate has medium weight and high extract a bit on the austere side with firm tannin, high acidity and light fruit, medium long finish.

This biodynamic producer has hit in two consecutive vintages. The 2011 is a bit funky at first, so you may want to decant it before serving, but once some cabbage-like aromas dissipate, the wine delivers plenty of blackberry fruit, some garrigue notes and a touch of licorice. It's full bodied and creamy in texture, with a long, silky finish.

The Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru La Toppe au Vert presents vivid red cherries and black plums on the nose, displaying focus alongside refinement and poise. Named after the Roman emperor who restored vine planting in France, this wine has structure and a dense texture. It is balanced with a good freshness to it and a poise in its step.

The nose is a light lunch on a rocky beach, where the dusty stones contrast with the sanguinity of bresaola and the richness of sweet chili jam. The jam spreads onto the palate, but the meatiness doesn't go anywhere either, before a crackle of black pepper sets up a lingering finish.

Strong cedar, toast and clove aromas continue into the flavors of this lavishly oaked and moderately tannic wine, giving it a flashy profile that will be fine for casual occasions.

Deep, dark, intense Black-purple color. Aromas are very high-toned with exotc dark-fruit perfume of very ripe, juicy black-cherry fruit & sweet oak spices. The opulence fruit on the nose carries through to the palate as do the exotic spices. The tannins are initially cedary & add grip. Alcohol adds a little warmth. The long finish combines cinnamon spices with juicy black-fruit.

Miner’s Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc that spent 21 months in 60% new French oak without being overly impacted by the wood. Scents of crushed stone, pencil shavings, cherries and sage mark the nose of this full-bodied effort, which comes across as tannic and even a bit rugged
