This is a red wine from the Tuscany region of Italy. The wine is made primarily from the Sangiovese grape variety, which is the traditional grape of Chianti. The Gran Selezione designation is the highest level for Chianti wines, indicating that the wine has been made from the best grapes grown on the estate and aged for a minimum of 30 months. It is expected to have a complex bouquet with a rich and elegant taste with intense and persistent aroma, with notes of red fruits, cherry, plum, and spices. It pairs well with red meats, game, and mature cheeses.

This unique eau-de-vie is made from distilled cider from grapes grown on the estate at Domaine Johanna Cecillon. Before distillation, the ciders are aged on the lees in both barrel and tank for more than a year. The blend before distillation is both fruity and tannic ciders. The nose is powerful with spicy apples and pears with a beautiful roundness and freshness onthe palate.

Like many of the more historical wineries of Canada's Okanagan Valley, more attention is being made to "terroir" - the idea that certain plots are better suited for specific grape varieties. Pinot Noir likes cooler climates and it thrives in the North Okanagan climate with its glacial soils. 'Aspect' refers to the direction that the vineyards face, giving those extra hours of sunlight the grapevines need. This serves to set apart these single block wines: dynamic, aromatic and vibrant.
