This non-vintage Rose is the end result of a desire to create a Rose champagne with a delightfully luscious, fruit-based charm. The wine has a luminous color with attractive pink glints. The nose is generous and elegant, with initial aromas of fresh red fruit (raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry, blackberry), leading to biscuity notes of dried fruits and Viennese pastries (almonds, apricots and brioche).

Bin 389 was often referred to as ‘Baby Grange', in part because components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange. First made in 1960 by the legendary Max Schubert, this was the wine that helped forge Penfolds reputation with red wine drinkers by combining the structure of cabernet sauvignon with the richness of shiraz. Exemplifying the judicious balance of fruit and oak, Bin 389 highlights the generous mid-palate Penfolds in known for.

Glenfiddich 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a distinguished and mature expression from one of Scotland's most iconic distilleries. Aged for 18 years in a combination of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, this single malt is renowned for its rich and complex flavor profile. The whisky offers notes of dried fruit, baking spices, and a hint of oak, complemented by a touch of sweetness and a subtle smokiness. As with much of what passes for Japanese whisky, the spirit for this one was not produced in Japan, it was however matured there for at least some of its life. This "pure malt", a term no longer allowed in Scotland, means it is a blend of different single malts, or a Blended Malt. The sourced whiskies, almost certainly Scottish, where matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry before marrying and gfinishing in Mizunara, Japanese Oak. 43%.

Tasting Notes

Nose: salted caramel, raisins, dates and figs; firm new leather, fruity tobacco and candied nuts; chocolate covered espresso beans and Twizzlers black licorice.

Palate: round, fruity and spicy; more salted caramel, firm new leather, Twizzlers Black and salty Dutch licorice; a trace of juicy malt, dried dark fruits and more chocolate covered espresso; drying and spicy with more cinnamon sticks, ginger root and fennel.

Finish: medium long, coating, drying and spicy; elegant but subtle.

Comment: the Mizunara oak notes do not come through quite as prominently for me on the 15 as they did on the 10 year; this is a more mature, austere and understated malt.

Chateau de Montifaud XO Cognac is a light and smooth extra old cognac created solely from eaux-de-vie grown in Petite Champagne.A fresh, non-tannic cognac, mellow with hints of almonds and aromas of dried fruits. A cognac much appreciated by the ladies, thanks to its light, fresh taste.

Eye: Coppery with amber shades.

Nose: Very fruity aromas, dry and some toasted almonds and hazelnuts.

Remarkable aromas of sweet spices reminiscent of nutmeg and saffron. Palate: Fresh, very round and with a long finish.

Regauged into once-used bourbon barrels, this is not the WhistlePig of old. Four years’ finishing in Vermont has toned down the sweetness and high notes, emphasizing a complex, leather/dark chocolate/tobacco spectrum instead. Lavender, violets, and ripe red fruit rise over dusty-dry barn boards, blue clay, and dark rye bread. The spicy rye tones glow with white pepper, while hints of astringent barrel oak keep a slight slipperiness from clinging.

Fragrant spring lemon verbena, fresh summer rose, and ripe, autumnal blackcurrant leaf are tailored into a supple and vibrant gin which stimulates the senses, from its initial citrus burst to the rounded, generous finish.

This is the first release made with this old process and creates an exceptional product in the most traditional manner.

The gorgeous aromas of roast cucurbita, deep earthy spice and citrus waft from the glass. Texturally rich and highly complex on the palate.

The Charles Heidsieck Brut 2012 is a vintage champagne made by one of the oldest and most prestigious houses in Champagne. Made from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay grapes sourced from some of the best vineyards in the region, the wine is aged for over 8 years in the cellars of Charles Heidsieck to develop complexity and richness.

On the nose, it has notes of toasted brioche, ripe apple, pear, and white flowers. On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine with a creamy texture and flavors of citrus, baked apple, and a touch of honey, along with a subtle hint of mineral. The wine has a long and elegant finish that leaves a pleasant aftertaste.

Sangre De Vida Añejo is a premium 100% blue agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, aged for at least 12 months in American or French oak barrels. It is characterized by a rich, complex profile with dominant notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak, often packaged in a hand-painted, heart-shaped bottle, boasting a smooth finish. 

Moutai Prince Chiew - Gold is a luxury Chinese Baijiu (a type of distilled liquor) produced by the Moutai Distillery, which is located in the town of Maotai in Guizhou Province, China. It is considered one of the highest quality Baijiu products in the world and is often referred to as the "king of Baijiu".It is made using traditional fermentation and distillation methods, using only high-quality sorghum as the main ingredient. The production process is highly controlled and takes several years to complete, with the liquor being aged in ceramic jars and underground cellars. One of the distinguishing features of Moutai Prince Chiew - Gold is its smooth and complex flavor profile. Ace of Spades Champagne, also known as Armand de Brignac, is a brand of champagne produced by the Champagne house Cattier in Chigny-les-Roses, France. The champagne is made from a blend of grapes of the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier varieties, and is known for its rich, full-bodied flavor and elegant packaging. It has aromas and flavors of citrus, brioche, and toasted nuts, and is often enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with rich, flavorful foods.

Pearse Lyons Distillery opened in 2017, becoming Dublin’s second working distillery this century. This single malt has a nose of honey, apple pie with cream, light pepper, dried grasses, and green herbal notes. The orchard fruits of apple and pear are silenced by a fury of pepper, root ginger, and clove, with only grapefruit peel proffered in response. The dry, banana chip finish fades in a melee of squabbling spices.

Blackberry and light dried fruit with oyster-shell undertones. It’s full-bodied with round, lightly chewy tannins that nicely accentuate the fruit character. Walnuts and wet earth. Delicious now, but better in two or three years.

The 2014 Chevalier is a blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot, and 5% petit verdot, giving a wine of great structure that will be a decade old next year. Refined, yet opulent with a full array of blackberries, blackcherry, earth, forest floor and spicy oak notes. 

The GlenDronach Port Wood is inspired by the historical import of casked port into Scotland during the 19th century. During the 1800s, port was ‘de rigueur', and many of the finest port pipes would travel from Portugal, down its Douro River, destined for the wine cellars of Scotland's gentry. Whilst many years have passed, Portugal's majestic Douro Valley is still renowned for its exceptional port. We have selected some of its finest port pipes to house The GlenDronach for a second maturation period of three years. Our Master Blender has expertly combined the whisky from these port pipes, to create a fruit-filled ten-year-old expression, with layers of ripe berries rolling into its signature long, lingering finish.

Dense and layered red with berry and tobacco character, a full body and a savory finish. Got it all here.
