Rich ruby red. Spicy, vivid and inviting nose of rich cassis fruit and ripe cherry with Mediterranean herbs in the background. Pithy and juicy on the palate, mouth-filling with clear fruit and long, precise finish.

Les Griffons de Pichon Baron 2018 reveals a deep, almost black colour. The nose is delicate, with notes of black fruits and a hint of subtle, well-integrated wood. The palate is generous and full, with powerful and luscious tannins. The balance is rich and harmonious with tension.

Pristine, attractive fruit with perfume and freshness. Dark-berry and plum notes, as well as cassis and brambleberries, define the character of both nose and palate. The tannins are saturated in ripe dark berries and plums and deliver a superbly fresh, shimmering, dark-fruited finish. Wow-factor is strong here in 2016.

Barnard Griffin Winery began in 1983 with borrowed grapes and a rented cellar, the dream of founders Deborah Barnard and Rob Griffin. It has since become one of Washington's most enduring and award-winning wineries. The Cabernet delivers a cascade of opulent plum, cherry and raspberry fruit flavors framed with subtle notes of bittersweet chocolate and oak spice. A very rich, fruity, food-friendly Cab!

Bisci is synonymous with Verdicchio, being crafted in the mountain area of Matelica and staying true to the terroir giving wines that are more austere and higher in acidity. This is a great wine of typicity with a nose full of green and yellow apple, Anjou pear, yellow flowers, even hints of pineapple but still with the mineral nuances, and even a flinty petrol. On the palate that lees ageing was evident as it was very textural and almost tannic, which lends itself to a full bodied wine. More flavours of yellow apple and pear, great minerality and of course, bitter almond. If one is looking to try Verdicchio for the first time, this is a good place to start!

Mastroberardino is definitely one of the founding fathers of winemaking in Campania, and put grapes like Fiano and Aglianico on the world wine map. Also from the quality region of Taurasi, the Historia is made from grapevines that are over 50 years old. Complex, broad, intense and persistent, it is full of violet, blackberry, black cherry, chocolate and vanilla with hints of earthy mushroom notes. Great structure, yet soft tannins in perfect balance. An absolutely stunning wine that will age for 50 years and beyond at a fraction of the price of Barolo! Collectors should always add aglianico to their cellar portfolio.

Aged for a minimum of five years, the Padelletti Brunello di Montalcino Reserva is a premium red wine that is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the Montalcino region of Tuscany, Italy. This wine is characterized by its deep ruby color, intense aromas of dark fruit, leather, and spice, and its full-bodied, complex flavor profile that is marked by notes of black cherry, tobacco, and vanilla. The wine is aged in oak barrels for three years, followed by two years of bottle aging, which gives it a smooth, velvety texture and a long, lingering finish. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to hearty meat dishes, aged cheeses, and rich pasta dishes.

Exclusive to CLS, we don't often see Nebbiolo done in rose form, but the brother and sister team at Antoniolo of Lorella (whom this wine is named after)and Alberto have created this gorgeous rosato that is intense and fragrant with juicy red raspberries and violets. Initial mouth feel is soft but the acidity is high with a subtle spicy kick. Slight tannins and medium alcohol all rolled into a perfectly balanced wine. Only 50 more bottles left in the province, and they are here at CLS, so be sure to get your hands on one (or three, or...)

Lucien Lardy is a family owned property with vineyards in the Fleurie and Moulin-A-Vent crus of Beaujolais. The fruit for this Villages wine was selected from a Fleurie vineyard that is over 50 years old. Perfect with Asian food, this Gamay is bright with bursts of wild cherry. Serve slightly chilled for the best experience!

Located in Montalcino, these Super-Tuscan wines from Luce (Light) are named for the altitude and southern exposure of their vineyards. Cool, breezy nights preserve the aromatic complexities of the grape and make for slow, even ripening. The Lucente is made primarily from Merlot with the addition of Sangiovese. Intense and bright red, the nose opens with intense fruity hints of blackberry, plum and currant, enriched by toasted and vanilla nuances. On the palate it is full and enveloping, soft and elegant, with a persistent finish that displays a pleasantly sweet and fruity aftertaste.

The Cogno family has been making wine for four generations in Piedmont. Located in Novello (one of the 11 communes in which Barolo can be made), it is now being run by Elvio's daughter Nadia and her husband Valter Fissore, the current winemaker. Ravera is a powerful Nebbiolo that has enticing scents of rose, tobacco and perfumed berry, along with a palate of violet, raspberry compote, star anise and wild mint. he finish is complex with some spice notes. This wine will no doubt become better with age. 

Sunday Sail Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough is a fresh and zesty wine with notes of tropical fruits, citrus, and herbs. Roeno Pinot Grigio Tera Alta is a white wine produced by the Roeno winery located in the Vallagarina Valley of Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy. This wine is made from 100% Pinot Grigio grape variety, which is grown on the winery's estate vineyards.

On the nose, this wine has a bouquet of white flowers, citrus fruits, and green apple, with a subtle minerality. On the palate, it is fresh and well-balanced, with crisp acidity and a long finish. The flavors of citrus fruits and green apple are dominant, with a hint of peach and apricot.

This wine is made from a blend of Sangiovese and small amounts of complementary grape varieties, all of which are handpicked and undergo a fermentation and maceration process.

On the nose, this wine exhibits intense aromas of ripe red fruit, with hints of spice and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a good balance of acidity and tannins. Flavors of cherry, plum, and a hint of vanilla are present, with a long and persistent finish.

Jermann Vintage Tunina IGT is a premium white blend made from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana, and Picolit grapes. This wine is produced by the renowned Italian winemaker Jermann, located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy. On the nose, the wine has intense aromas of ripe tropical fruits, including mango, pineapple, and papaya, along with a hint of honey and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with flavors of ripe peach, apricot, and pear, as well as a subtle minerality and a long, smooth finish. Jermann Vintage Tunina IGT is a well-balanced wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes, including seafood, poultry, and pasta dishes with creamy sauces. It is a popular choice among wine enthusiasts who appreciate the unique character and complexity of a premium Italian white wine blend.

Perlage: Fine, elegant and long-lasting mousse.

Colour: Pale lemon shade with golden and green highlights.

Bouquet: On the first nose, the wine reveals white flower aromas (honeysuckle, lilac), citrus notes, as well as fresh butter and cream. After airing, as it is getting warmer, this Champagne exhales another spectrum of aromas. The wine reveals spicy notes of ginger, and lemongrass, which were unsuspected until then.

Flavour: The beautiful quality of the acidity (present throughout the tasting) is especially remarkable. The frank vinosity of the wine (roundness and alcohol) gives an impression of strength and freshness. The wine appears both broad yet tight. These various sensations produce a pure, creamy and silky-textured wine. The finish is clean, slightly mineral and long. The last aroma is the grapefruit. The impression will be remembered as a harmonious, healthy and vibrant wine.

Decoy Sauvignon Blanc is a single-varietal wine made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc grapes sourced from premium vineyards in Sonoma County, California. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh and vibrant character. Decoy Sauvignon Blanc has a pale straw colour with aromas of citrus, melon, and tropical fruit. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing with flavours of grapefruit, lime, and passion fruit. The wine has a bright acidity and a clean, zesty finish.

This wine is ideal for pairing with seafood, salads, and light appetizers.

The small-batch rum, called Bumbu XO, has been finished in white oak Sherry barrels from Andalusia, Spain. Bumbu XO is distilled and aged at a 120-year-old Panamanian distillery and uses local sugarcane and pure spring water. The 40% abv expression has aromas of toffee, toasted oak and vanilla, while the palate has hints of orange zest, peppery spice and coffee. The new offering is packaged in a paperless glass bottle, with a matte black finish, silver and white details and a tarnished silver ‘X’.

This albariño, true to its varietal character, combines freshness and complexity thanks to an ageing process on the lees and the contribution of a short stay in oak foudres. A wine with a lot of personalities that will accompany your appetizer to lead you to a meal full of experiences.

A sophisticated powdery pink robe with luminous glints of wild rose. Delicate, vivacious bubbles are the result of an ageing period of 36 months. A base of 20% of reserve wines, white and red, gives this rose blend a subtle, yet complex nose. The initial fragrances from the 5-6% of elegant red wines are redolent of homemade strawberry jam mixed with the fruitiness of blood peach. A meticulous selection of crus gives the Charles Heidsieck Rose Reserve the rich warm notes of gingerbread and cinnamon. The deep powerful mouthfeel, the result of ageing in thousand-year-old cellars offers a burst of strawberry, raspberry and blackberry nestled in velvety whipped cream.

Osoyoos Larose is a single-block vineyard overlooking the magnificent Osoyoos Lake, a flagship estate of the Canadian wine scene and exclusive property of Groupe Taillan since 2013. This jewel of the classic Bordeaux grape varieties has the substance and aromatic definition of the wines of this famous French region.

Domaine l'Enclos' 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudsier demonstrates both elegance and power: apple, pear, quince, orange and orange zest, notes of vanilla, bread crust and coffee with milk. Everything is dominated by a scent of sea air, dried oyster shell and seaweed. A great opening on the tongue, lots of light and juicy fruit combine with a fine acidity which is wonderfully integrated into the fondant of the fruit. A high-class Chablis.
