Tasting notes Colour: Medium-high depth wine, ruby red colour with roof tile rim, which denotes its long barrel ageing and its peaceful bottle ageing.

Nose: Powerful on the nose with primary aromas of ripe fruit accompanied by complex spicy and balsamic notes and a slight touch of vanilla.

Palate: Balanced on the palate, it is a round and unctuous wine with ripe and sweet tannins, providing the wine with a long aftertaste: an elegant Rioja classic.

The history of Château Durfort-Vivens is linked to the Durfort-Duras family. The consecration of Château Durfort-Vivens took place in 1855 with the obtaining of the prestigious title of Second Cru Classé. The owners who have succeeded one another until today have never ceased to improve the quality of the wine and extend the reputation of the château. The vinification is in cement and wood vats. Aging in 40% new barrels for 18 months. The result is a Margaux full of finesse and freshness.

The bouquet of Durfort-Vivens 2014 opens with clear aromas of black fruits such as cherry and blackberry to evolve towards more subtle aromas of truffle. In the mouth, the wine is revealed, silky and elegant. It is definitely a wine that carries the colors of the prestigious Margaux appellation.

Chateau Changyu Moser XV Helan Mountain Blanc de Noir White Cabernet Sauvignon Ningxia - The colour of this Cabernet comes with a hue of rose, just a touch to indicate its provenance. Surprisingly peachy on the nose with a cornucopia of floral aromas - it certainly enlarges the spectrum of fragrance in wine. On the palate it offers a stunning lusciousness of peach and exotic fruits with a hint of violet. The vibrancy comes from its perfectly embedded acidity.

Langpai Tequ T8 is a strong-aroma baijiu that is processed old mud pits. Baijiu has a very long fermentation period, from weeks to months or longer. This type of fermentation leads to a spirit very high in esters, hence the very sweet flavors.

Strong Baijiu takes some time to get used to because the flavor profile is quite different. The closest example I know of is Smith & Cross Jamaican Rum. This is a potent very high quality Baijiu full of flavor.

Mildiani Mukuzani is a red wine from the Kakheti region of Georgia, made with Saperavi grapes. "Slaty minerals, fruitiness, and floral hints on the nose suggest plenty of rye in this satisfying, complex dram. More mineral notes emerge on the crisp, sweet palate, along with citrus elements, burley tobacco, hints of wine, dark chocolate, mild vanilla, and subtle oak. This attractively golden-hued whiskey shows the delicate aromas of orange peel, white pepper, and butterscotch. Upon tasting there is a gentle heat that gives ample zip to the smooth texture of baked apples, raw vanilla bean, crushed spices, and lightly charred oak.

Blue Run High Rye Bourbon is distilled and aged to perfection in Kentucky, the heart of America's whiskey-making tradition. The exceptional high rye mash bill imparts a distinctive spicy note that harmonizes beautifully with the underlying sweetness of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak. The result is a rich, full-bodied whiskey with a complexity that reveals new layers of flavor with each sip.

This clear and light-bodied mezcal has a faintly smoky aroma and a mildly peppery flavor. A potent, alcoholic finish fades into black pepper.

Padre Azul Añejo is a premium 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, aged for at least 18 months in hand-selected oak bourbon barrels. It features a complex, smooth profile with prominent notes of vanilla, caramel, chocolate, cinnamon, and dried fruits, boasting an extremely long, refined finish.

Persistent and fragrant scent, reminiscent of field violets and cherries. A lively wine, with long and fruity persistence, savory and dry, with an inviting foam that makes every sip irresistible. Delicate astringency.

“Showing the character of the best Cabernet Sauvignon berries I have ever worked with”, says Lenz. Spice of China, concentrated fruit aromas and flavours you would never expect from such a young Cabernet. The small berries occur in this desert climate to protect themselves from evaporating the water – hence a fantastic skin to juice ratio.

Taber Corn is second to none. Each summer, when word of Taber, Alberta’s first corn harvest breaks, connoisseurs converge on roadside stands to get it. It’s an easy progression why we would use Alberta’s famous Taber Corn from the Molnar Farm in our corn mash allowing you to not only eat your Taber Corn, but drink it too. 

A blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, the 2020 Haut-Bailly was harvested from the 9th to 25th of September. It has an alcohol of 14.3%. Deep purple-black in colour, it prances out of the glass with naturally beautiful notions of fresh black cherries, violets, mulberries and boysenberries, giving way to hints of redcurrant jelly, star anise, tilled soil and menthol. The medium to full-bodied palate is delicately crafted with velvety/grainy tannins and fantastic freshness framing the perfumed red and black berry layers, finishing on a lingering fragrant-earth note.

Veuve Clicquot Extra Brut Extra Old is a champagne that is made from a blend of reserve wines, some of which are up to 20 years old, along with a base of younger wines. The exact blend of grape varieties is not specified by the producer. The wine is aged in the cellar for at least 3 years, which is longer than the minimum requirement for champagne. The wine is then disgorged and a low dosage of sugar is added, resulting in an "extra brut" style that is very dry and crisp. The wine has notes of dried fruit, toasted brioche, and nuts, and is known for its complexity and elegance.
