Traditionally, Palermo was a blend that included wine not used in Mercury Head or Papillon, but winemaker Dave Phinney now sources fruit specifically for this bottling. The Cabernet Sauvignon Palermo, aged for 11 months in 34% new oak and crafted from a blend of estate-grown and purchased fruit, also incorporates small proportions of Merlot and Malbec. It presents aromas of cherries, cassis, and subtle earthiness, complemented by hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. The 1er Cru vineyard "Montmains" is one of the very best 1er Crus in the Chablis . The Chablis Montmains of Chanson Père et Fils has a bright golden yellow color. From the storage in oak barrels it has a tender vanilla smell, plus white fruits and lemon zest. Firm on the palate, but also with juicy fruit. Invigorating vitality in the long finale.

Winemaker notes:
Overture reflects the winemaker's artistry by showcasing the talent of blending five traditional Bordeaux grape varieties and capturing terroir characteristics of the same variety grown in different soils. However, Overture's third blending aspect - that of marrying multiple vintages - yields a softer, rounder expression of our estate that can be enjoyed upon release.Overture is full bodied but approachable in its youth. Overture shows generous dark fruit aromas and flavors with a soft, supple mid-palate.

Through 26 generations (since 1385!), the Antinori family has forged a passionate bond with their fans. This blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah is rich and succulent, with violet floral notes, vividly expressed black and red berry fruit, tobacco, and oak spice. Pair it with roasted meats.

Frappato is a light coloured red grape produced all over Sicily, but mainly in the southeast corner. It is typically blended with Nero d'Avola to help soften the tannins (like in Cerasuolo di Vittorio). By itself though, it bursts with aromas of sweet red berries and incense spice. Light in alcohol, but with beautiful texture and acidity, it's a juicy, lively alternative to white wines of the patio for summer. Serve chilled!

Conundrum Red is a rich, full-bodied California red blend (Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon) known for its complex, approachable profile, featuring dark fruit (cherry, plum, blackberry) balanced with notes of chocolate, smoke, and spice, offering a smooth, grippy texture with fine tannins, and best enjoyed slightly chilled to enhance its vibrant fruit and unique character.

 Taylor's wines are lovely across the spectrum including this 10-Year-Old. Light ruby/tawny colour. Spicy, with lots of walnutt-y and caramel notes, exotic spices and tobacco. Fruit comes to the fore on palate, red berries perhaps, but the mellow barrel-aged warmth re-emerges into a long finish with a little bolstering tannin and good acidity. Pair with a baked fig pudding or chunk of mature cheddar.

Unique wine, harmonious and elegant with pleasant notes of red berries, among which cherry is dominant. Fresh, delicate and pleasantly fruity with a light and velvety tannin. Slightly balsamic finish, of medium length. Extremely enjoyable and easy to drink.

Umbria, Italy’s only land-locked region is home to Italy’s most tannic grape variety – Sagrantino. This big, bold, structured wine is high in tannins, but they are polished and perfect for those big fatty, high protein meat dishes. Let this age for ten years or more for optimal taste or decant for several hours to enjoy sooner.

Mildiani Akhasheni is a popular Georgian semi-sweet red wine from the Kakheti region, made from Saperavi grapes, known for its dark ruby color, rich aroma of ripe berries/cherry, and smooth, balanced taste with velvety texture, fruitiness, and hints of oak/licorice, pairing well with grilled meats, desserts, and cheeses.

Susumaniello is another indigenous grape of Italy, from Puglia, the heel of Italy’s boot. The “Lampu”, from the local dialect which means lightning, which in Puglia, heralds the arrival of rain, a blessing for the crops. Susumaniello is perfect for this region, adapating to hot, dry climate. The wine has violet and ripe red plum aromas while on the palate, it is fruity, herbaceous, and tannic, with hints of spices and licorice on the finish. Organic, sustainable and vegan.

This wine is characterized by its highly structured, harmonious, and delicate nature, boasting a long-lasting finish. Its refreshing acidity effectively counterbalances the wine's alcohol content, while the tannins, dense yet finely textured, contribute to its overall balance and complexity.

The De Grendel farm of Cape Town are always purveyors of good wine and this particular vintage show tropical fruit on the nose without that typical jalapeno pepper that is sometimes found in SA sauvignon blanc. Crisp and refreshing on the palate, yet with an unctuous mouth feel and continuing with tropical pineapple, guava and banana. Not complex, yet elegant and drinkable alone or with mixed green salads with poke tuna or salmon mixed in.

A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Saperavi and 5% Rara Neagra, this garnet colored wine has aromas of baking spices, raspberry, vanilla and black cherry. On the palate there are flavors of cherry, black raspberry and blueberry. The finish is exceptionally smooth.

The Cask 23 wine combines the signature perfume of grapes from the Fay vineyard with the structured and dark fruit of the SLV. The wine opens with fragrant and fresh aromas ofred and black currants, black tea, anise, and nutmeg. Vibrant with savoury notes, blackberry and blackcurrant flavours.
