The Vinum Cellars Red Dirt Red begins with a pleasing aroma of red cherry, cranberry and baking spice. The wine tastes of plum and cherry and features lots of earthy, meaty and mineral notes along with touches of balsamic and black olive plus more baking spice. La Storia Merlot is and has been a consistently fine example of the ability of this classic Bordeaux variety to make solid, tasty, and age-worthy wines.

The main aromas and flavours are dark cherry, plums, a bit of black liquorice, and herbs. The new oak barrels contribute a touch of vanilla, brown sugar, cocoa dust, and toast.

On the mouth the wine is soft and viscous, balancing the acidity and the tannins well for such a young wine. The finish is long and soft with a suggestion of sweetness backed by ripe tannins.

The 2023 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon is characterized as a profoundly elegant, aromatic, and mineral-driven wine, showing notes of crème de cassis, liquid violets, graphite, and cedar. SAINT K Black Cat Bone is a 100% Pinot Noir from the Yellow Foxtrot II Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, California, known for its medium body, vibrant acidity, and complex aromas and flavors of cherry, raspberry, spice, and earthiness. The 2022 vintage is described as having notes of cranberry, raisin pie, cardamom, and gingerbread, with a long, fruity finish.

Columbia Crest's H3 Cabernet Sauvignon is a Washington State wine known for its bold, fruit-forward profile and smooth, approachable style. It typically features aromas and flavors of dark cherry, blackberry, and currant, often with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Blue Canyon Estate Grown (Eg) Pinot Noir, primarily from Monterey/Arroyo Seco, is a medium-bodied, value-driven California wine. It features vibrant red fruit aromas (cherry, raspberry) mixed with earthy notes, sagebrush, and light oak spice, offering a silky, approachable texture with a crisp finish. 

This is a surprisingly thin wine from this classic vineyard and stellar vintage. Flavors of strawberry, watermelon and cranberry seem dilute, and there is little backup as the wine trails out the finish.
