Elegant, light and pretty. This amber spirit has a light, briny vanilla scent and a silky feel. A veil of smoke rises through the Scotch (but fades out fast), leaving behind a sweet nutty, vanilla finish.

Rebecca Creek Distillers had the opportunity to age their bourbon for up to four years in new Spanish Oak barrels in the attempt to produce a bourbon whose taste and colour resembled whiskey that was twice its age. The whiskey was then aged for a further two years in second-fill American Oak barrels to complete the unique, dual-aged maturation process. The mashbill for this whiskey is: 75% Corn, 21% Rye and 4% Malted Barley and it is bottled at true cask strength.

George Remus Highest Rye 6 Year Straight Bourbon takes the rye content to its legal limits, resulting in a bourbon that pays homage to the rye trend preceding Prohibition. Aged for six years, this bourbon presents an enchanting fusion of sweet, rich fruit, and maple on the nose.

Each batch is a little bit different, this one leaning to sweet orchard fruits, nutty barley, and hot spicy rye. Butterscotch and vanilla on the nose translate well onto the palate. Brisk peppery spice underlies developing layers, adding another dimension of complexity to an already broad range of flavors. Hints of oak tannins on the finish remind us this was finished in Canadian wood.

Chiyomusubi Pure Malt Whisky Mizunara (700mL) is a refined Japanese blended malt (containing both Chiyomusubi and imported malt whisky) matured in rare Japanese Mizunara oak. It features a smooth, well-balanced profile with distinct aromas of sandalwood, coconut, and vanilla, followed by flavors of honey, spices, and a gentle wood finish.

Kujira 10 Year Old Bourbon Barrel is a Japanese single-grain whisky from Masahiro Distillery in Okinawa, distilled from 100% Indica rice and aged over a decade in bourbon casks. It features a deep amber color with a smooth, sweet, and spicy profile, notes of caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, and a warm, woody finish.

The Deveron 18 Year Old is a 40% ABV Highland single malt scotch from the Macduff Distillery. Part of the Last Great Malts collection, it offers a coastal, maritime character featuring notes of orchard fruits, hazelnut, and creamy caramel, with a subtle sherry-influenced finish. It is known for being a smooth, approachable, and well-balanced dram.

Glendalough 7 Year Old Mizunara is a unique Irish single malt matured in bourbon casks and finished in rare, aromatic Japanese Mizunara oak. Bottled at 46% ABV, it features a vibrant, fruity nose and a smooth palate with distinctive notes of dark chocolate orange, sandalwood, and cinnamon, concluding with a long, spicy finish. 

Inchgower distillery is located in the village of Buckie on the Moray Firth coast and is known for producing a full-bodied and robust style of whisky. The distillery uses locally-sourced water from the nearby Burn of Inchgower to produce its whiskies.
In general, single malt whiskies from the Inchgower distillery are known for their rich and complex flavor profile, with notes of dried fruits, honey, and a hint of smoke.

Nose: Sweet toffee and candied orange aromas with silky white chocolate and sugared violets. Tropical fruit notes come to the fore with hints of coconut and ripe banana. A nutty note lingers in the background.
Taste: Intense sweetness to begin then fading to reveal herbal aniseed and peppery notes. Dried tropical fruit; pineapple, lime, and coconut flavours complement madagascan vanilla pod.
Finish: Rounded, with lingering vanilla tones with an herbal edge.

Producer Tasting Note
Nose: Rich brown sugar and stewed apples lead to glacé cherries and raisins alongside a subtle touch of honey and ginger.
Taste: Dark honey and almond flavours lead to raisins, warm ginger and lingering fruit loaf.
Finish: A light and delicate finish with soft cherries and toasted almonds.

Nose: Creamy, aromatic nose with hints of hay, malted barley, oak and mixed peels. Palate: Soft smoke and gingerbread, oodles of toasty spices, Demerara sugar and boiled sweets.

Following on from Glenmorangie's A Tale of Cake, the magnificent distillery has gone and created A Tale of Winter (we do like the idea that "cake" is in fact a season and that it precedes winter, but we don't think that's what they're going for here)! Director of whisky creation Dr. Bill Lumsden wanted to evoke the feeling of winter, of sitting in front of a fireplace while the snow fall outside, and to do so, he finished a bourbon barrel-matured single malt in ex-Marsala wine casks. All those rich, comforting, chocolatey notes certainly put this one in the ‘winter warmer' category.

MacNair’s Lum Reek is a range of blended malts produced by the GlenAllachie Distillers Company. Created by Billy Walker, this composition is built around peated Islay and Speyside whiskies, mixed with GlenAllachie single malt. The whiskies are drawn from a combination of Oloroso, virgin oak and red wine casks. Nose: a nice start on elegant smoke, tobacco leaves and hints of cedar wood, mixed with raisin sweetness, toffee and a good dose of vanilla. Plum jam. Cinnamon. Lemon zest. Hints of cocoa in the background. Maybe not hugely expressive – elegance is key here.

Taste: s layered combination of dry and sweet notes again. Peaches, marmalade and berries, some honey and dark chocolate. Some old leather and pleasant woody touches. Toffee. Pepper. The earthy smoke is present but never overpowering.

Finish: medium to long, more ashy and spicy with lingering cocoa.

Hiding in a small valley east of the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Edradour is a small operation producing fruity un-peated distillate under the Edradour name, and a meaty and peaty version named Ballechin. This release from Equilibrium (aka Whisky Sponge) is a vatting of a cask of each, both matured in refill ex-sherry casks.

After spending 9 years in American oak, the spirit was further matured in French oak barrels that previously held Napa Valley Bordeaux varietal red wine which added perfumed aromatics and rounded out the mouthfeel. The spirit was then tamed with pristine wine country water. Nose: Intense and inviting with caramelized sugar, baking spices, dark fruits, butterscotch and vanilla notes.
 
Palate: Smooth, ultra rich and layered.
 
Finish: Honey, toast and loads of caramel.

The founder's reserve is quintessential Glen Garioch; it pours a bright amber colour with aromas of sweet vanilla, grapefruit, green apple and subtle spice; the palate has buttery creaminess leading to more flavours of vanilla and green apple; citrus notes add to the cleanliness while the finish remains subtle and elegant.

A big Benriach, taking the distillery's fruity spirit and adding layers of rich and dark flavour to it. Aged for 12 years in bourbon, sherry and port casks, it's a spicy dram with loads of dried fruit and soft spice.

Bib & Tucker Double Char 6-Year-Old is a robust Tennessee straight bourbon aged for six years in new white American oak, followed by a minimum of five months in a second heavily charred barrel. Finished with sugar maple smoke, this innovative method yields a complex, smoky, and sweet profile.

KUJIRA KYOJIN (meaning "Giant" in Japanese) is a distinctive Japanese rice whisky crafted at the historic Masahiro Distillery in Okinawa, Japan. Distilled from 100% Indica rice using traditional black koji and aged in American white oak, it offers a bold, velvety profile with distinct tropical notes.

Compass Box Crimson Casks is a rich, sherry-forward blended malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46% ABV.
