A new, no age statement addition to the Laphroaig family that blends together Quarter Cask, PX, Triple Wood, and 10 year old. The nose is reminiscent of freshly-treated decking, before some classic iodine creeps in. Water brings out geranium, pollen, and damp leather. The palate is simple, clean, and mild (and smoky), with bay leaf, light dried fruit, and that oily wood. Undoubtedly there's a lot going on, but it’s not married, and 40% means it lacks the necessary wallop.

Mars Shinshu Iwai is an approachable, bourbon-inspired Japanese blended whisky (approx. 75% corn, 25% malt) crafted at Nagano's high-altitude Mars Shinshu Distillery. Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or is a 46% ABV Highland single malt, initially aged in American oak bourbon casks and finished in French Sauternes dessert wine casks. It offers a dessert-like profile with notes of lemon tart, honeycomb, ginger, and toasted almonds. The palate is creamy and silky, featuring citrus and a long, sweet, and nutty finish.

The Bowmore Distillery, established in 1779 and located on Islay is so close to the sea, the Atlantic waves smash against the iconic sea-facing wall. Nose: Very gentle, floral, sweet and juicy. Orchard fruits intertwined with nutty caramel, nougat and powerful butterscotch overtones.
