The Oban Distillers Edition 2021 is a unique blend of flavors achieved by aging the whisky in ex-bodega Montilla Fino cask wood. Oban Special Release 2022 is a single malt whisky aged for 10 years in first-fill American oak barrels before undergoing a secondary maturation in amontillado barrels. In 1870, George Garvin Brown established Old Forester on Louisville, KY's renowned whiskey row. To commemorate this pivotal year in bourbon history, we present Old Forester 1870 Original Batch, the inaugural craft expression in the Old Forester Whiskey Row Series.

Old Forester 1870 Original Batch pays homage to George Garvin Brown's original batching method. In his time, Brown combined barrels from three distilleries to achieve a consistent flavor profile. To replicate this process today, we meticulously select barrels from three warehouses, each originating from a distinct day of production, with varying entry proofs and age profiles.

These three iterations of Old Forester are then blended to create Old Forester 1870 Original Batch. This 90-proof bourbon is minimally filtered to honour the techniques available to George Garvin Brown during that era.

Ben Nevis Distillery is a distillery in Scotland that is located at Lochy Bridge in Fort William and sits just at the base of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, which rises to 4,409 feet above sea level. A coastal distillery in the Western Highlands, Ben Nevis draws its water from the Allt a'Mhuilinn which originates from two pools, Coire Leis and Coire na'Ciste. Founded in 1825 as an independent enterprise, it has been owned by Nikka Whisky Distilling of Tokyo, Japan, since 1989.

Proudly offered at a natural cask strength of 48.4%, this Single Cask bottling was distilled at Invergordon Distillery in 2002. Sweet and creamy with a plethora of vanilla and a perfect spicy oak character

Matured wholly in air-dried, hand-selected ex-bourbon casks, the 'unashamedly excellent' Old Pulteney 12-years-old is the definitive expression in the Old Pulteney family.
Traditionally crafted using techniques that other distillers have long abandoned, this winner of numerous gold medals at the most prestigious international competitions is a high water-mark of quality spirits. Deep amber, red golden (with a slight pink hue) sparkling with a copper glow. Medium to high intensity with a briny hint of sea air.

This expression replaces the previous 17 year old, and has been aged in bourbon and second-fill American oak casks, followed by a period in first-fill Spanish oak oloroso butts. Sherry is immediately obvious on the nose, with fresh-baked fruitcake aromas, honey, and allspice. The palate is sweet and spicy, with Jaffa orange segments dipped in sea salt, toffee, and dark chocolate. Orange and oak in the medium-length finish.

Pearse Lyons Distillery opened in 2017, becoming Dublin’s second working distillery this century. This single malt has a nose of honey, apple pie with cream, light pepper, dried grasses, and green herbal notes. The orchard fruits of apple and pear are silenced by a fury of pepper, root ginger, and clove, with only grapefruit peel proffered in response. The dry, banana chip finish fades in a melee of squabbling spices.

Nose: Rich and smoky with notes of peat, charred oak, and a hint of sea salt. Aromas of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and sweet Pedro Ximenez sherry emerge, adding depth and complexity.

Taste: Intense and robust, the palate delivers a burst of peat smoke, accompanied by flavors of roasted nuts, caramelized sugar, and dried figs. The influence of the Pedro Ximenez sherry cask is evident, bringing a luscious sweetness and a touch of dark fruitiness.

Adelphi presents this bottling of 2015 vintage Welsh whisky from the lovely Penderyn Distillery. It was aged for 8 years in a single cask which filled 247 bottles at 56.9% ABV. This single malt is presented without chill-filtration and with its natural colour.

Nose: Sweet prunes, dried fruits and raisins; sponge cake with hot chocolate sauce, a hint of coffee and honey aromas. Taste: Sweet liquorice, dark berries, jam and candied fruits, juicy apricots, caramel with roasted coffee beans with some sweet spice. Finish: Sweet sherry notes, dried fruits with a hint of oak.

Penderyn Icon of Wales Copperopolis is a single malt Welsh whisky inspired by Swansea's copper smelting history. It has a 46% ABV and is matured in sweet red wine casks, leading to a rich, complex flavor profile with a floral, fruity nose and a lingering finish. The tasting notes include orange blossom, peach, honey, caramel, and dried fruit on the nose and palate, finishing with citrus, cocoa, and dry oak.

The ninth installment in the Penderyn Icons of Wales series, aptly named 'The Headliner' in honour of David Lloyd George (1863-1945), the sole Welsh Prime Minister and architect of the Immature Spirits Act 1915, mandating a minimum three-year maturation period for whisky. On the nose, expect subtle hints of red berries, strawberries and cream, complemented by a touch of cranberries, light oak, and vanilla. The palate offers a rich and sweet experience, with flavors of dried fruits, salted caramel, floral honey, and a spicy note of black pepper, leading to a tannin-driven dry finish.

The Penderyn Madeira Finish has a light golden colour and a nose of citrus, honey, and oak. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, lemon, and honey. The finish is long and lingering, with a touch of spice.

Myth is a single malt whisky matured in a range of specially selected ex-bourbon and rejuvenated oak casks, bottled at 41% abv. This whisky has a Kosher certificate.



Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh and lively, Myth has mixed citrus fruits mingling with apple, pear drops and the merest hint of tropical fruits

Palate: Sweetness dominates then moves over to allow some refreshing bitterness to emerge while the mixed fruits continue to dominate the flavour

Finish: Gradually all the flavours ebb away to leave memories of a lively and light style of whisky that is easy to drink

Rhiannon is the 7th chapter in Penderyn's Icons of Wales Series. Finished in sherry wood, the whisky is named after Rhiannon, an enchantress and horse goddess who could outrun any pursuer while riding slowly. Rhiannon in Welsh means 'Great Queen' or 'Divine Queen.'

On the nose, soft notes of raspberries and strawberry liqueur, as well as some melted butter, cassis, and candy canes. Hints of peanut skins and pastries. Needless to say, it is very sweet. The taste has more sweetness on arrival and is pretty much a continuation of the nose. Plenty of berries, but also some caramel sweetness. The wood has also infused some spiciness. The finish has a lingering sweetness and is somewhat drying.

More mineral notes emerge on the crisp, sweet palate, along with citrus elements, burley tobacco, hints of wine, dark chocolate, mild vanilla, and subtle oak.
