Cenote Tequila Blanco is a premium tequila made from 100% blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. It is named after the natural underground water reservoirs, known as cenotes, that were sacred to the ancient Mayan civilization. The tequila is double-distilled in copper pot stills and then rested for 3 weeks in stainless steel tanks to allow the flavors to fully develop. Passopisciaro is a small area (the name of a town) on Mt.Etna's north face on the property of the late Andrea Franchetti. Soils from this active volcano provides resulting wine with a vein of minerality that speaks of the terroir of this prestigious region. Contrada Sciaranuova is located at 850 m.In Sicilian, "sciara nuova" means "new lava flow", deposits from the relatively new lava flow from the 1600s that has turned into thick gravel.The wines produced from this site are bright, aromatic, and have a rich taste of fermented hay and a dusty herbal quality. The wine is structured, yet fresh with a youthful concentration.

The Giacomo Fenocchio Barolo is a full-bodied and elegant red wine produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Barolo subregion of Piedmont, Italy. It offers a deep ruby color and aromas of dark cherry, rose petal, licorice, and tobacco. On the palate, it is rich and complex with notes of red fruit, leather, and spice, balanced by firm tannins and bright acidity. The finish is long and persistent. This wine has received 93 points from Wine Spectator, which praises its "intensity and harmony," calling it "a modern-style Barolo, but still maintains its integrity and typicity." It is an ideal pairing with hearty meat dishes, aged cheeses, or simply enjoyed on its own. 

Moët & Chandon offers a customizable version of its Brut Impérial Champagne, which allows customers to personalize the bottle with their own message or design. The wine itself is the same blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay grapes, aged for at least 24 months in the cellars to develop its complex and elegant flavor profile. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe fruit and spices, with notes of brioche and honey. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with flavors of stone fruit and a hint of citrus, with a long and smooth finish. The wine has a balanced acidity, which makes it a versatile food pairing option, suitable for pairing with a variety of dishes, from seafood to poultry or light pasta dishes.

Zuidam Distillery in the Netherlands produces a number of spirits including whisky and gin. This oak matured gin uses the same recipe as the distillery's regular dry gin focused on fresh citrus notes and small batch distillations.

From the Distillery: "Dutch Courage dry gin is distilled from Nine botanicals: juniper berries and iris root from Italy, coriander from Morocco, angelica, sweet oranges and fresh whole lemons from Spain, licorice root from India, cardamom and whole vanilla beans from Madagascar. The gin is distilled using a unique distillation method with the separate distillation of each botanical producing a fresh, complex and layered flavour from a total of 14 distillations."

The difference is that this dry gin is aged in new 200-litre American oak casks. This adds a layer of beguiling vanilla and spice to the still-fresh and fruity gin. The result of this is absolutely stunning.

Distiller's Tasting Notes: The nose is soft and mellow. It is balanced with fresh citrus and juniper notes and slightly sweet, soft and gentle vanilla and spices. The flavour is completely dry and fresh with a wonderful softness.

Multiple award-winning single malt that is uniquely aged in five distinctive wine casks. Shows inviting fruit-forward aromas with hints of toffee, vanilla, herb and floral notes. This delight is matured in ex-bourbon barrels for 3 years then finished in virgin Irish oak casks. Aromas and flavours of vanilla, spice, banana custard, with cinnamon, maple, citrus and oak tones. The palate is smooth with a spicy, warm lingering finish.

The finest Chivas 15-year-old whiskies are selected and finished in Cognac casks creating an elevated experience. Patrón Añejo is handcrafted from the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave and is carefully distilled in small batches at Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. It's then aged in a combination of French oak, Hungarian oak and used American whiskey barrels.

It is intense with fresh fruit of red profile, very delicate. A bouquet of floral notes and dine herbs. The wood is almost imperceptible, due to the use of semi-new oak barrels during the ageing. On nose is delicious, subtle and delicate, representing the freshness of a cold vintage.
Palate: Medium body, light and silky texture. Very fruity with very fresh red fruits. The tannins are very fine and fresh leaving a feeling of daintiness and softness.

This Syrah, crafted from the SH99 Syrah clone of the 'Karibib Vineyard' in the Polkadraai Hills, is a masterpiece for Syrah enthusiasts. With only the Syrah clone and a touch of sulfur, this wine embodies the essence of its vineyard. Hand-harvested fruit was fermented naturally in a concrete fermenter with skins and stems for 10 days, then aged in a 15hL concrete egg for 10 months with gross lees intact. Bottled without fining or filtration and minimal sulfur, it boasts a nose of red and black berries, rose, fynbos, and white pepper. The palate reveals exquisite poise and finesse with fruit purity, bright acidity, and powdery tannins. It has quickly become a Syrah royalty in South Africa, alongside winemaker Reenen Borman’s ‘Epilogue,’ earning 96 Points from The Wine Mag. 

Sustainable and organic

Piekenierskloof's mountain vineyards, located near the Cederberg Wilderness Area, are renowned for producing exceptional Grenache from dry land bush vines. Neil discovered the oldest Grenache vineyard in the country that each year yields a limited amount of grapes. The vineyard produced consistently award winning Grenache since 2007. The alcoholic fermentation is initiated in stainless steel tank with the malolactic fermentation being completed in French oak barrels. The wine is aged for 14 months in a combination of new, 2nd and 3rd passage larger French oak barrels.The wine has inviting red berry and creamy strawberry flavours, complemented by a creamy texture and silky tannins. The oldest of these vines, planted in 1966 on their own roots, remain un-grafted and disease-free, contributing to the wine's elegance, finesse, and sweet fruit character. The region's extreme temperature variations, with hot days and cold nights, along with its Table Mountain sandstone and shale soils, further enhance the distinctiveness of the Grenache from this area. Light in colour, and although high(er) in alcohol, the wine is well-balanced. Put a slight chill on it for optimal flavour. Another great Neil Ellis wine.

A young wine, characterized by the specific acidity of the Jidvei vineyard, has been distilled and aged for at least 3 years in oak barrels to create this brandy - harmonious, strong, and balanced. Vinars Jidvei VS reveals fine caramel, vanilla, and exotic spice aromas when served at room temperature.

On the nose, butterscotch, raisin, and toasted brown sugar. The palate presents roasted coffee, rich caramel, and warm molasses. The finish is long with spicy heat down the middle and a hint of orange.

This 12-year-old blend from William Grant & Sons, renowned for brands like Glenfiddich and Balvenie, undergoes maturation in three distinct types of oak casks: ex-Bourbon, ex-Sherry, and American oak. Bottled at 40% ABV, it offers a harmonious fusion of flavors derived from its diverse cask aging, promising a balanced and nuanced whisky experience.

Aromas suggesting scorched earth and French oak form the shy nose along with a whiff of dried botanical herb. Reflecting the aromas and the heat of the scorching vintage, the subdued, one-dimensional palate offers toasted hazelnut, espresso and the merest hint of dried cherry. It's evolving fast, so drink soon to capture what fruit remains.

Although 2017 was not a vintage for the ages, excellent winemakers will still create beautiful wines from hand selected grapes. Jessica Pellegrini is a minimalist, using indigenous yeast and "hands-off" winemaking. Like the 2015, it is true to the Sangiovese variety with an expressive nose of cherry, fresh Italian herbs, and tomato leaf. Serve with tomato based pasta dishes like Bolognese or Lasagne.

Lanson Rose Label Brut is a vibrant, pale salmon-pink champagne known for its high-toned freshness, characteristic of Lanson’s signature style that avoids malolactic fermentation.
