This delight is matured in ex-bourbon barrels for 3 years then finished in virgin Irish oak casks. Aromas and flavours of vanilla, spice, banana custard, with cinnamon, maple, citrus and oak tones. The palate is smooth with a spicy, warm lingering finish.

The finest Chivas 15-year-old whiskies are selected and finished in Cognac casks creating an elevated experience. The fruity aromas of oranges, red apples and juicy sultana raisins are rounded by the generous flavours of poached pears, butterscotch, caramel and a touch of vanilla. A luxurious whisky, great served on ice.

Patrón Añejo is handcrafted from the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave and is carefully distilled in small batches at Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. It's then aged in a combination of French oak, Hungarian oak and used American whiskey barrels.

It is intense with fresh fruit of red profile, very delicate. A bouquet of floral notes and dine herbs. The wood is almost imperceptible, due to the use of semi-new oak barrels during the ageing. On nose is delicious, subtle and delicate, representing the freshness of a cold vintage.
Palate: Medium body, light and silky texture. Very fruity with very fresh red fruits. The tannins are very fine and fresh leaving a feeling of daintiness and softness.

The 2021 Les Pagodes de Cos is a strong effort, offering up aromas of cassis, charcoal, dark berries and cigar wrapper, followed by a medium to full-bodied, sweet and fleshy palate that's quite rich and extracted, concluding with a saline finish. Medium ruby hue in the glass. On the nose, a classic Pinot perfume with rich brandied cherry, fresh rose petal and hints of ground nutmeg. This Syrah, crafted from the SH99 Syrah clone of the 'Karibib Vineyard' in the Polkadraai Hills, is a masterpiece for Syrah enthusiasts. With only the Syrah clone and a touch of sulfur, this wine embodies the essence of its vineyard. Hand-harvested fruit was fermented naturally in a concrete fermenter with skins and stems for 10 days, then aged in a 15hL concrete egg for 10 months with gross lees intact. Bottled without fining or filtration and minimal sulfur, it boasts a nose of red and black berries, rose, fynbos, and white pepper. The palate reveals exquisite poise and finesse with fruit purity, bright acidity, and powdery tannins. It has quickly become a Syrah royalty in South Africa, alongside winemaker Reenen Borman’s ‘Epilogue,’ earning 96 Points from The Wine Mag. 

Sustainable and organic

Piekenierskloof's mountain vineyards, located near the Cederberg Wilderness Area, are renowned for producing exceptional Grenache from dry land bush vines. Neil discovered the oldest Grenache vineyard in the country that each year yields a limited amount of grapes. The vineyard produced consistently award winning Grenache since 2007. The alcoholic fermentation is initiated in stainless steel tank with the malolactic fermentation being completed in French oak barrels. The wine is aged for 14 months in a combination of new, 2nd and 3rd passage larger French oak barrels.The wine has inviting red berry and creamy strawberry flavours, complemented by a creamy texture and silky tannins. The oldest of these vines, planted in 1966 on their own roots, remain un-grafted and disease-free, contributing to the wine's elegance, finesse, and sweet fruit character. The region's extreme temperature variations, with hot days and cold nights, along with its Table Mountain sandstone and shale soils, further enhance the distinctiveness of the Grenache from this area. Light in colour, and although high(er) in alcohol, the wine is well-balanced. Put a slight chill on it for optimal flavour. Another great Neil Ellis wine. 

Light yellow-green, silver reflections. Ripe yellow fruit nuances, hints of guava and gooseberry, fine honey blossom, candied zest, mineral touch. Juicy, elegant, fine fruit sweetness, pleasant acid structure, fine chalky aspect, balanced and long lasting, a balanced, sturdy food companion.

A young wine, characterized by the specific acidity of the Jidvei vineyard, has been distilled and aged for at least 3 years in oak barrels to create this brandy - harmonious, strong, and balanced. Vinars Jidvei VS reveals fine caramel, vanilla, and exotic spice aromas when served at room temperature.

Satsuma peel, mandarin segments, butter biscuits, dry oak, bookbindings, and hints of baking spices on the nose. Warm orange, sweet vanilla, creamy pudding, sherbet, and a mellow pepperiness on the palate, but as the citrus theme swells, a taste of grapefruit bitterness washes over it, making for a sharp, bitter finish. With its 46% malt content, this has grace, but seems a bit mild for a warrior pirate queen’s tastes

Hyde No. 5 The Áras Cask 1860 is a 6-year-old, triple-distilled single grain Irish whiskey matured in flame-charred ex-bourbon casks and finished in French Burgundy red wine oak casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, it features a ruby-red hue with a creamy, fruity profile highlighting red berries, custard, and sweet malt.

Lanson Rose Label Brut is a vibrant, pale salmon-pink champagne known for its high-toned freshness, characteristic of Lanson’s signature style that avoids malolactic fermentation. It offers delicate aromas of rose petals and red berries (strawberry, redcurrant) with a crisp, dry palate and long-lasting, refined bubbles.

Medium-bodied and fresh with a plummy quality, this wine is focused on red fruits and sweet-smelling earth. Bright and a little strict, give this a few years to come around and soften.

Roku Sakura Bloom Gin is a limited-edition, 43% ABV Japanese craft gin from the House of Suntory that celebrates the Hanami (cherry blossom) season. From Huber’s Orchard, Winery & Vineyards in Indiana comes this well-made whiskey with elements of originality and surprise. Hickory wood spice, cinnamon candy, and coffee cake on the nose. The palate is full of spice with some tropical fruit—mango and guava—plus good balance and body. These notes shine brighter without water.
