Koval was founded in Chicago in 2008 by Dr. Sonat Birnecker Hart and her husband, Dr. Robert Birnecker. The distillery was the first to open in the city since the mid-1800s. The word ‘koval’ means ‘smith’ or ‘blacksmith’ in many Eastern languages, but in Yiddish it also means ‘one who forges ahead’. Koval pays homage to Sonat’s grandfather who decided to “forge ahead” and move to the USA and start a new life from scratch. These products are all made organically and with a “grain to glass” philosophy, the distillery believes in only offering high-quality, well-made spirits using state-of-the-art technology.

The spicy kick that comes from this 100% rye is evident, yet it’s fresh and light with additional sweet nots of maple and candy corn. Smooth and balanced, this is likely one of the best rye whiskies you will ever taste.

At its core Mirabeau Gin is a classic Dry Gin. Mirabeau has used a 100% grape-based neutral spirit which adds roundness and subtle fruitiness to the palate. Lemons and Coriander add layers of fresh citrus character. Orris and Angelica roots impart floral and earthy tones respectively. Rose Petals, Lavender and Jasmine are used sparingly to bring a variety of floral tones. Finally, Bay, Thyme and Rosemary add a finely balanced herbaceous character to the blend.

100% agave reposado tequila, a unique product of the Corralejo family obtained from the triple distillation of fermented blue agave musts from Weber’s blue agave, making it an incredible purity and excellent quality product.

Irish single grain whiskey from Teeling! There are only an elite few Irish single grain whiskies out there at the moment, but Teeling went ahead and made theirs unique by maturing it in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon casks. Deliciously sweet with a good deal of spice and fruit hide within the Teeling Single Grain.

The flagship expression from the Glenkinchie distillery, one of the stalwarts of the Lowlands. A fantastic introduction to the region, Glenkinchie 12 Year Old shows off the characteristic lightness and grassy elements that Lowland whiskies are known for, with nods to cooked fruit and Sauternes wine along the way. Double matured in American oak barrels; glistening gold colour in the glass, with lively aromas of peat smoke, vanilla, coconut and banana; the increased oak contact creates a soft velvety mouthfeel that is complemented by distinctive peatiness, followed by smoke and soft sweetness leading to a long drying finish.

Hongyun lang is a high-end sauce-aroma baijiu. Its design concept comes from the blessing words "Hongyun Dang Tou" which means lucky star shining bright. With about 19 different Lambrusco names in the family, one of the most common is Salomino. This wine is made from Lambrusco Salomino for the tannins, roundess and black fruit it also has a touch of Sorbara, for freshness and acidity. Mastroberardino is definitely one of the founding fathers of winemaking in Campania, and put grapes like Fiano and Aglianico on the world wine map. From the Bolgheri DOC, the Poggio Al Tesoro is owned by the Allegrini family of Valpolicella fame. Named after the Seggio river that crosses the vineyard, it is a blend of 50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot. The nose exhibits lovely fresh, crunchy fruit, enriched with mineral and spicy notes. The palate is medium bodied with hints of red berries and elegant silky tannins. A great wine for the price point!
