Cricova Paper Wrap Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a red blend wine from the Cricova region of Moldova. The wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, which are two of the most widely planted red grape varieties in the world. On the nose, the wine offers aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with flavors of dark fruit, chocolate, and spice. The tannins are firm yet smooth, providing a long and satisfying finish. The wine is aged in oak barrels, which adds complexity and depth to its flavor profile. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for a few years to allow its flavors to further develop.

Winemaker Notes: This Malbec is crafted from grapes grown in the Andes Mountains of Argentina. After harvest, the grapes are chilled and transported by sea to Caymus, where our unique winemaking techniques produce a wine that is dense, dark, and supple. Red Schooner wines are identified by the voyage number rather than a vintage date, with Voyage 12 corresponding to the 2022 vintage. The result is a remarkably smooth wine, offering aromas and flavors of dark fruit complemented by fine, textural tannins.

There's no age statement on the label; that's intentional. The lore of this liquid is that it includes a small amount of the last bourbon ever produced at the iconic Stitzel-Weller distillery, which closed in 1992. (Diageo re-opened it in 2014.) This blend of straight bourbons offers vanilla on nose and palate, leading into almond and a hint of dried apricot. The finish is lively and relatively dry, with grapefruit peel, leather and chamomile tea. Overall, it's a light-handed and pleasing take, regardless of how much (or little) old/rare distillate is actually in the glass.

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey undergoes a unique double barrel-aging process, which contributes to its distinctive and complex flavor profile. Initially, the bourbon is matured in new charred oak barrels, where it develops its foundational characteristics. Subsequently, it is transferred to a second barrel that has been heavily toasted and lightly charred, intensifying the flavors of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak. The wine has a straw yellow color with greenish highlights and a complex aroma of white flowers, citrus, and tropical fruits. On the palate, it is fresh, crisp, and well-balanced with a long and mineral finish. This wine is a great example of the quality and elegance of the wines produced in the Lugana subregion.

Dassai '39' Premium Junmai Daiginjo Sake is a high-quality sake made from locally grown Yamada Nishiki rice in the Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan. The sake is brewed using a traditional method, which involves milling the rice grains to 39% of their original size, resulting in a refined and delicate flavor profile. Dassai '39' has a fragrant and fruity aroma with notes of apple, pear, and peach on the palate. It has a smooth and creamy texture, with a hint of sweetness and a refreshing acidity.
