Recently, a new “oldest Canadian whisky ever,” appears every year. In 2018, the honour goes to Canadian Club. Cedar lumber, fresh apricots, hints of bonfire, and sweet applewood on the nose. On the palate it’s butter tarts with vanilla, waves of pepper, pears, peaches, bonfire notes, and hints of pipe tobacco. The Chronicles collection debuted two years ago with the release of the 40 year old. This, the third annual release, incorporates a smidgen of younger rye and a dash of brandy. In 1854, Hiram Walker, an American entrepreneur with interests in the flour and grain industry, ventured into whisky production in Detroit. At the time, many grain merchants and millers dabbled in whisky production as a means of utilizing surplus grain and milling by-products. However, with Michigan's burgeoning temperance movement threatening prohibition, Walker relocated his distillery across the Detroit River to Windsor, Ontario in 1858. To differentiate his Canadian-produced whisky from American counterparts and to denote its higher quality, Walker branded his product "Canadian Club." Canella Lido Prosecco Rosé DOC is a sparkling wine produced by Canella winery located in Veneto, Italy. The wine is made using the Glera and Pinot Nero grape varieties, which are grown in the Veneto and Friuli regions of Italy. The wine is a pale pink color with fine and persistent bubbles, and has delicate aromas of strawberries, raspberries, and cherries. This super-interesting blend from Liguria is made from Sangiovese, Merlot and the rarely seen Pollera Nera, native to Liguria. The wine is very aromatic, perfumed with wild berries, fresh herbs and dried flowers. The vibrant palate highlights classic Sangiovese tart-cherry notes and lively acidity. Merlot contributes a softer edge while the Pollera Nera adds background notes of herbs and spice.

A gorgeous expression of Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has aromas of blackberry, marionberry and black cherry. The palate is supple and juicy, with a voluminous texture, black fruit and a complex French oak- inspired spice box note.
