Melted caramel, birch beer, and fresh violets on the nose, leading to a creamy palate of cooked bananas, chocolate syrup, butterscotch, licorice, gingerbread, marzipan, raisins, burnt brown sugar, and complex oak. Honeyed almonds and balanced spice take the lead on a solid finish, with trailing notes of melted caramel, plus cinnamon babka, barrel char, light smoke, and an earthy old leather note. A plentiful array of flavors, all meshing well.

The nose of this whisky offers intriguing aromas of cherry cough syrup, reminiscent of cinnamon French toast, and hints of spearmint gum. Subtle notes of boiled peanuts, dried flowers, hay, and a touch of sandalwood add depth to its sweet and earthy profile. On the palate, a creamy texture unfolds with a hint of bitterness, showcasing flavors of dried cherries, strawberries, cinnamon sugar, and chocolate. With the addition of water, tart cherry cobbler notes emerge. The finish is characterized by a good length, with woody nuances, hints of vanilla cream, and a lingering spice.

Angel's Envy Triple Oak is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in a blend of Hungarian, Chinkapin, and French oak barrels, creating a complex profile with notes of baking spices, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, dried fruit, and toasted nuts, balanced by a long, spicy finish with hints of pepper and molasses, offering rich sweetness and warmth.

A fruit-forward California Pinot Noir with cherry, raspberry, strawberry and subtle spice. Soft and approachable with fresh acidity and silky tannins.

A full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with cassis, blackberry, dark cherry, cedar and spice. Rich fruit and structured tannins lead to a lingering finish.

A bold California red blend with blackberry, plum, dark cherry, spice and vanilla. Rich and smooth with ripe tannins and a generous finish.

Deep garnet with purple tingers. Fortbright, broad lingering, blackberry, cherry, forest floor, white pepper, slightly herbaceous. Sturdy with lively tannins; wild and earthy; noticeable acidity.

Pale straw yellow, with greenish hues. The nose is full of different inspirations: cedar, green apple, lemon, lime. Slightly smoky, with refreshing chalky aromas. The palate is rich, with a tingly acidity. Long and elegant mineral finish.

Winemaking
After a pre-fermentative cold maceration, the fermentation of the must with the skins takes place at a controlled temperature for 12 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. Then the wine is aged for 6 months in tonneaux and 6 months in stainless steel tanks and 4 months in a bottle.

Tasting Notes
The wine takes on a pale ruby colour. Intense aromas are jampacked with blackberry, raspberry, blueberry and a slight peppery note. On the palate, it is dry, medium-bodied, has well-ripened soft tannins, elegant with plenty of acidity and a touch of spice.

Nose: Rich and aromatic with notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak.

Taste: Smooth and velvety, with flavors of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and a hint of spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and well-balanced, with a long and satisfying finish of toffee and toasted nuts.

NOSE
First aromas are an aromatic spiced bouquet with caramel. As we get closer to the spirits, there are distinct notes of cinnamon, liquorice and citrus followed by strong chocolate with hints of toasted sugar.

PALATE
Enters the palate with cinnamon and toasted caramel flavours. As the liquid fills the mouth with pleasant bitter and liquorice notes, the finish fades into lasting flavours of chocolate and sweet herbs.

Anne-Sophie Dubois is part of a young generation of vignerons redefining the identity of Beaujolais. Born and raised in Champagne, she caught the wine bug early and spent her formative years learning the ropes in Burgundy. Even though she only works with one grape variety, the three vineyards she gets her fruit from couldn't be more different. The Les Labourons vineyard is described as complex and dense with very bottles produced. Ageable, so this 3L will mellow over time.

Nose: Aromas of ripe red berries, floral notes, and hints of spice.
Taste: Vibrant and juicy with flavors of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry.
Palate: Smooth and well-balanced, with a medium body and a long, refreshing finish.

Clearly a bigger and more structured wine than the 2014, this has blackberry and fig notes along with a lick of minerality, suggested by both the texture and the gunsmoke edge to the finish. It’s enjoyable and approachable, although still young. The alcohol levels are high in 2015, but the St-Emilion plateau is a relatively forgiving spot for generous alcohols because there’s a natural minerality and freshness from the limestone. 30% new oak. From one of the three oldest families of Italy, spanning 26 generations, one of their luxury brands, Solaia is located on the sunniest slope of the Tignanello vineyard. Here, the best grapes of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Sangiovese, and 10% Cabernet Franc make this aromatic, complex wine with notes of raspberries and mulberries with additional, distinct notes of coffee beans, chocolate, and licorice. The palate is well-balanced and structured with spicy undertones that give way to an exceptionally long. This wine is only produced in exceptional vintages.

Tignanello was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, the first contemporary red wine blended with untraditional varieties (specifically Cabernet) and one of the first red wines in the Chianti Classico region that didn’t use white grapes. Tignanello is a milestone. It’s produced with a selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

The Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva (produced at the Tenuta Tignanello estate) is a prestigious, fruit-forward Tuscan red wine. Often referred to as the "baby Tignanello", it is a rich blend of predominantly Sangiovese with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, prized for its silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and elegant flavor profile.

Umbria, Italy’s only land-locked region is home to Italy’s most tannic grape variety – Sagrantino. This big, bold, structured wine is high in tannins, but they are polished and perfect for those big fatty, high protein meat dishes. Let this age for ten years or more for optimal taste or decant for several hours to enjoy sooner.

This structured Sagrantino is loaded with blackberry, spice, leather and balsamic herb sensations. It also demonstrates the grape's massive tannins that will give this wine many more years of staying power.

Antoniolo Erbaluce di Caluso is a bright yellow wine with pale green reflections in the glass. The nose is very floral, with jasmine, green apple and apricot. The palate is crisp and very fine, elegant, with very tasty acidity. Strong mineral core, very refreshing.

We don’t often think about Nebbiolo outside of Barolo or Barbaresco, but the northern region of Gattinara is a quality region growing points-worthy Spanna, as it is known here. Elegant with aromas and flavours of dried roses, raspberry jam and hints of toasted nuts and vanilla. If you’ve never tried Nebbiolo from Northern Piemonte, this is a good place to start. 

Gattinara Riserva is an absolutely gorgeous wine. Rich and pliant in the glass, it offers a striking interplay of rich fruit, bright acids and tannic spine.

Founded in 1948, the winery is operated by the brother and sister team of Lorella et Alberto Antoniolo. Their mother, Rosanna, remains a legend in this corner of Italy. They produce wines of purity and elegance, with much softer tannins than the nebbiolos of Langhe. Like all traditionally-made nebbiolo, delicate aromas and light colour are but appearance. These are wines of great complexity, depth and density. The single vineyard of Osso San Grato has south facing exposure. With only 5500 bottles produced per year, the nose is intense with furity notes of black cherry, dried roses, violets and distinct notes of tar. The palate is full-bodied and intense with persisten tannis that are sweet and velvety.

Exclusive to CLS, we don't often see Nebbiolo done in rose form, but the brother and sister team at Antoniolo of Lorella (whom this wine is named after)and Alberto have created this gorgeous rosato that is intense and fragrant with juicy red raspberries and violets. Initial mouth feel is soft but the acidity is high with a subtle spicy kick. Slight tannins and medium alcohol all rolled into a perfectly balanced wine. Only 50 more bottles left in the province, and they are here at CLS, so be sure to get your hands on one (or three, or...)

This small batch production, individually numbered, presents an exquisite rum experience characterized by remarkable richness and a velvety mouthfeel. Despite its impressive age, the rum maintains a perfect balance between cask influence and the inherent spirit character. Expect a delightful array of flavors, including rancio, raisins, stewed pears, and dried fruits, complemented by nuances of dark oak, citrus, baking spices, molasses, and burnt sugar. The finish is accentuated by vibrant notes of chai, peaches, and tropical fruits, further enhanced by the elevated proof of 43% ABV.

Extraordinarily aromatic, with notes of overripe banana, green papaya, molasses, toasted almond, and fermented mango. The palate offers more decadent notes of milk chocolate and spiced figs, but not without a peppery kick and touch of funk that this distillery is known for. Outstanding.
