Droin Chablis is a white wine made entirely from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru vineyard in Chablis, Burgundy. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and purity of fruit.

On the nose, the wine exhibits aromas of green apple, citrus, white flowers, and a hint of minerality. On the palate, the wine is dry, crisp, and refreshing with flavors of lemon, green apple, and a touch of salinity. The wine is well-structured with a medium body and a long and satisfying finish.

Overall, this a classic Chablis with a good balance of fruit and acidity. Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin with Italian Fig & Laurel is a premium, small-batch, 43% ABV gin from The Shed Distillery, featuring the signature oriental botanicals and green tea with added Mediterranean elements. Created with mixologist Bruno Vanzan, it balances sweet Italian fig with savory laurel leaf, resulting in a citrus-forward, herbaceous, and subtly sweet flavor profile.

Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is a premium, triple-distilled Irish whiskey produced by The Shed Distillery in County Leitrim, crafted from a mash of malted barley, unmalted barley, and Irish Barra oats. It features a creamy, smooth texture with notes of vanilla, dried fruit, and spice, aged in first-fill Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks at 43% ABV.

The Cartizze area is likely the most desirable property in the Valdobbiadene hills, perhaps in all of Italy. This small area has a unique microclimate to give the wines elegance and a remarkable aromatic finess. Hints of apples, pears and acacia flowers dominate with a fine, creamy bubble on the palate. Triticale is a wheat/rye hybrid, which I guess appealed to the wheat-mad Dry Fly distillers. Aromas of grass, bubble gum, and oak. Taste is young, brashly sweet, but smooth enough to spread easily over the tongue. There’s spice—light cinnamon, a zip of allspice heat—and grassy brightness, but they’re dressing on the juicy sweet center. Not flawed, and well-made, but I wish it had more to say.

Dublin City Irish Dry Gin is a premium, small-batch, London Dry style gin famous for being "an Irish gin with a Dublin accent". It is distinguished by its unique Irish whey (milk) spirit base, which provides a silky-smooth finish.

Inspired by Dublin’s Victorian heritage, we present this wonderfully gentle yet robust Irish malt. Delicate well-balanced nose, soft spice and fine sweetness with Malt Barley always present, distinct long finish with great sherry notes makes for a smooth and flavoursome Irish whiskey that simply tastes like more.

Duchesse de Magenta Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Garenne 2018 is a white wine from the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, France. The wine is made entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Garenne vineyard, which is known for producing wines with a delicate balance of fruit and acidity. On the nose, the wine offers aromas of white flowers, citrus, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with flavors of lemon, green apple, and a subtle minerality. The acidity is crisp and refreshing, providing a long and elegant finish. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to a decade to allow its flavors to further develop.

The wine is primarily composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%), with smaller amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. “A great, powerful and proportional Ducru with everything in the right place. The aromas and flavors are very precise and beautiful with blackberry, raspberry and citrus undertones. Full-bodied and structured, it has polished electric tannins that are finely layered, well formed and very long. Remains cool on the palate. 82% cabernet sauvignon and 18% merlot. Drink after 2029 but will age beautifully."

Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Crots is a red wine from the Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy, France. The wine is made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Les Crots vineyard, which is known for producing complex and elegant wines. On the nose, the wine offers aromas of red berries, cherries, and a hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with flavors of raspberry, blackcurrant, and a touch of earthy minerality. The tannins are firm and well-structured, providing a long and satisfying finish. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to a decade to allow its flavors to further develop.

Located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the Dufuoleur family has been steeped in Burgundian winemaking and culture for more than 400 years. Their property of 30ha runs from the village of Fixin in the north to Santenay in the south. Whilst mostly Pinot Noir is planted, this very small vineyard of Chardonnay where only 1100 bottles are made. Wines are aged in French oak barrels, a third of which are new. The finished wine has an expressive nose of lemon chiffon, honey and fine herbaceous nuances. As the wine ages, it will develop a toasty, nutty aroma and flavour.

Located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the Dufuoleur family has been steeped in Burgundian winemaking and culture for more than 400 years. Their property of 30ha runs from the village of Fixin in the north to Santenay in the south. The Fraîches Eaux Nuits-Saint-Georges is a very small plot planted to Pinot Noir grapes with an average age of 45 years. Aromas of blackthorn, strawberry and cherry dominated with further nuances of tobacco, candied strawberry and forest floor notes on the palate. Nuits-Saint-Georges offers more full-bodied examples of Pinot Noir and this wine is no exception.

This is crisp with a steely edge. From a single vineyard, it is a blend that is dominated by Chardonnay, the wine is tight with a texture that suggests it needs to age in the bottle. There is plenty of fruit but it just needs to soften. Roger Voss
