Like traditional Amarone, the grapes are dried per regulations before pressing after January 1. Full bodied, structured and typical aromas and flavours of dried cherries, figs, balsamic, licorice, espresso and earthiness, Allegrini is one of the more famous families of the Valpolicella region. If you love Amarone, but find a full bottle too much, this 375ml, although pricey, is well worth the price of admission.

Individual rows are chosen by hand, and fruit is selected and separated to preserve the unique flavours. Indigenous yeasts are used and time on the lees allows for earthy flavours and lovelu textures to emerge. The final wines are rich and complex with the perfect amount of oak. The Pinot Noir has a fragrant, savoury, and slightly herbal bouquet. On the palate it has concentrated plum, herb and spice flavours, smooth tannins and balanced acidity.

For lovers of Nebbiolo (Barolo and Barbaresco) try Etna Rosso. Made with Nerello Mascalese grown on the slopes of Mt. Etna in Sicily, these wines are light in colour with the sensual aromas of cherries, cinnamon, dust and Italian herbs, but with those same high tannins and acidity Nebbiolo is known for.

Surrounded by three seas, father and son Nini and Michele work side by side on the Salento Peninsula, the sun-drenched heel of the Italian boot. The nose is aromatic, racy and offers a small intensity as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of wilted rose, lily and small notes of small wild red berries associated with fine touches of crunchy cherry, crunchy raspberry as well as fine hints of violet and Cuban pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers freshness, minerality as well as a fine tension as well as a beautiful fat. In mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy red cherry, rose, lily and small notes of pistil associated with touches of plum, blackberry as well as fine hints of zan, tobacco, minerality/graphite and an imperceptible hint of mocha.

The history of the Rebourseau family goes back to 1782, humble farmers involved in viticulture which were passed on from one generation to the next. Through the years the objective was to bring the production of each appellation to its best level, ensuring the wines reflect the most accurate version of their climates. Clos Vougeot, which covers approximately 50ha is considered one of the best Grand Cru sites in Burgundy. The Tesseron Lot No 29 Exception is a well-aged blend, truly worthy of its name. A unique XO, made up of Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie - this Cognac’s maturation process has passed through at least three generations of the Tesseron family who have dedicated their passion and love for Cognac through the family business. With fresh and floral fragrances, Lot No 29 unveils velvety aromas of mocha chocolate alongside dried fruit and hints of honey. Its prevailing rancio is characterized by the decades spent in old oak barrels - a true jewel of the Grande Champagne cru.

Named for the giant old-growth Douglas fir sitting right at the top of the vineyard, Old Firs is a study in terroir. No matter the length of the growing season, nor the size of crop, Old Firs always has a hallmark salinity backed with a ton of power and intensity. The furthest west of all our plantings Old Firs Block is constantly in a deluge of fog and cold Pacific winds. The site speaks clearly year after year through both winemaking and vintage. This is one for the ages.
