Antonio Fattori's passion for winemaking traces back to his family's legacy, with roots planted in the early 1900s by his grandfather, who returned from WWI to restore vineyards devastated by phylloxera. Today, the Fattori family continues this tradition, crafting expressive and intriguing wines in Veneto. Their white wines, grown on basalt slopes in the alpine valley, showcase a distinct minerality. Their Soave, made from the Garganega grape, is a dry white wine renowned for its vibrant citrus and honeydew melon notes, accented by a subtle hint of macadamia nut. There's a faint coppery tinge to this wine's rosy pink hue, and the fruit is somewhat muted, but this remains an enjoyable drink. For over 50 years, the Bisci family has been making Verdicchio in the district of Matelica. Verdicchio, one of Italy's most ageable white grapes shows two expressions: rounder and richer in Jesi, but more austere, higher acidity and mineral in Matelica due higher elevation and mountain terroir. The single vineyard of Vegneto Foglia has 45 year old vines with a south facing exposure. The wine is complex with yellow fruits and chlorophyll notes. The palate is structured and textured, built for ageing.

Domaine Reine Juliette is located in the heart of Languedoc, less than 10km from the Mediterranean Sea. The sixth generation runs the winery now and is named for the road the domaine is built on. Kaleden, BC, situated on the bench overlooking Skaha lake is home to the Black Market winery. Here they craft small batch wines using grape varieties that grow well in the Okanagan. This Rose is made with 100% Syrah and has a vibrant nose aromas of crabapple, watermelon, wild strawberries, and cherries. On the palate, it's dry with crisp acidity and dominated by rich flavours of wild red berries, rhubarb and lime zest.

It began with rather normal temperatures and precipitation, promoting budbreak that was in line with the historical average of the region. Spring, and in particular the month of May, was characterized by frequent rainfall and temperatures slightly below average. The summer months were generally hot and dry, without noticeable spikes, providing optimal ripening conditions for the Merlot, Cabernet & Sangiovese grapes that comprise this wine. A windy and cooler September insured healthy & phenolically mature clusters were obtained during harvest. Tasting Notes Intensely red in colour with purple reflections, this wine contains aromas of forest berries, sweet spice and vanilla bean. Round and harmonious on the palate, this wine has sweet tannins and a delicate finish.

Three generations of winemaking in the Valdobbiadene hills, they farm organically and sustainably. "Particella" refers to Parcel and allows the family to showcase fruit from different "rive", obtained from the steepest and most suitable vineyards with grapes from a single municipality, to enhance the characteristics and showcase the terroir. The mesmerising soft peachy-pink tint grabs the interest upon first glace, and then a bright bush of juicy cherry fruit fills out the palate. Floral and spicy notes linger the background along with the slightest tang of sea salt. Enjoy this exuberant rosé simply on its own, well chilled, or with an endless variety of culinary complements.

Nestled between Priorat and Monsant, the Cellar de Capcanes offers quality Catalan winemaking. Originally established as a co-operative in the 1930s when five families got together to vinify all the wine of this Priorat-area village, the Celler de Capcanes drew the attention of the wine world in the early nineties when they started to produce premium Kosher wines for the Jewish community in Barcelona. Made from a blend of tempranillo, garnacha, merlot, syrah and carignan, it's an easy drinking summer quaffer- an "all purpose" red.

La Palazzetta Visconti is located on the south-east side of Montalcino, farming 20 ha organically. Mild winters, hot summers and humid springs and autumns help to create bright coloured, fragrant wines with juicy acidity. This little Rosso is the perfect quaffer with notes of violet, cherry, and plum. The tannins are ripe and soft, leading into a long finish.
